Looking for something to replace my beloved, discontinued Halo Powder in Yellow. I get redness in all the wrong parts of my face and this stuff just balanced and perfected everything so well! Hoarded it when it was discontinued and have about 1/3 of my final jar left. Looking for a replacement soon, so I'm not left hanging (with a blotchy face) when this runs out!   Looks like the very-similar Bluff Dust by Benefit was also disco'd.  Has anyone tried the Clinique Redness Solutions pressed powder? http://www.sephora.com/redness-solutions-instant-r elief-mineral-pressed-powder-P277401?skuId=1295765   Or, other suggestions?

Is the Beauty Blender worth it? I'm considering purchasing but I do not know if it's worth my investment. Have any of you tried the liquid cleanser also?

I'd really like to see Paul & Joe, Anna Sui, and Les Merveilleuses de Laduree at Sephora. I know that Sephora Champs Elysees has Les Merveilleuses as well as the Sephora across the street from Galleries Lafayette in Paris.

Hello, I got a brand new Smart profile brush as a gift, but the back is a bit different from the one showed on the website, it has the Smart profile stamp up ahead but the Clarisonic logo is all the way down to the end of the brush while on the website it's placed up ahead the Smart Profile writing. How is yours?

I received my samples from GlamGlow yesterday and was really itching to try the cleanser. I just used the Thirsty Cleanse so I wanted to share what I think.    First of all I must say that I absolutely HATE the Thirsty Mud Mask. I cannot stand the smell. This cleanser doesn't small as strong (and since I only had it on for a short time and than washed it off that makes a difference).   The way you use this cleanser is that you apply it directly to your dry face, massage it in, and add a bit of water for it to emulsify. You massage that it and than wash your face completely. I don't really like some of the cleansers out there that have this method because I feel like I have to rub my face raw to get it to turn the way it's supposed to. But this one is much faster. It works very quickly.    After I washed it off my skin does feel very refreshed and hydrated. I actually really like the way it feels and I bet after using this sample I would totally buy the full size. I can't give a true "review" since this was just a 1 foil sample I was sent (they also sent me 1 packet of Super Cleanse but I will pass that to a friend).    I just thought I'd share my humble first thoughts on this product

With the 20% off sale coming up it got me thinking about my online shopping habits at Sephora.     I'm curious beauties, how often does the online sample selection (the 3 free, not perks or codes) factor into your decision to make a purchase?   I know if I have something I want to buy that isn't urgent (like LE or sale items) I will wait until the sample selection cycles through if there isn't anything I want.   What about you?  Do those free samples hold any sway over you?   Personally I wait until most of the perfumes are OOS, since I have a really hard time with most fragrances.     On the flip side, if I see something I really want I might place orders for things I don't need right away just to stock up on a sample.

I bought a BB cream at Sephora a while ago, but I don't really know how to apply it so I want to go back and get a mini-makeover so they can teach me how to use it. Can someone tell me how the mini-makeover thing works? Do you just walk up to any SA and ask them? And what would you ask them if you wanted them to do your face makeup for you with BB cream?

Okay, we all know there's room for improvement in the features department of BT. So given that none of us actually have the power to change anything, how do you keep track of things? I used to think I was just too much of a newb to understand the ins and outs of BT, but now that I've been here for a while, I realize that nothing has really changed and it still feels like a bit of a clusterF to keep track of responses and comments/mentions intended for a specific user.     Do you subscribe to threads? Do you track responses to your own posts through your list of activity in your profile? Do you just rely on PMs?    What's your method to the madness?

Hello, I got a Luxe Cashemere brush as a gift, but I'm suspecting it could be a fake, cause in the other Clarisonic brushes i own there are a clock icon and a number in the center on the back of the brush, while on this, I can't see any clock symbol and the number is on the outern circle and not in the center. Since this is the first Luxe brush I got, I can't compare it, so can you help me and check out yours?thanks so much

Today I noticed two products where it is actually cheaper to buy the smaller product size than the larger version. Normally the more you buy the more you save, but I wonder if I am missing something? ( Canadian Prices ) Is this to get rid of old packaging or is it simply the way they are priced?   1st is Fab Radiance Pads. • 28 for $14 = $0.50/pad • 60 for $37 = $0.61/pad   2nd is Miracle Worker by Philosophy • 0.5 oz for $5 = $10/ounce • 2.0 oz for $74 = $37/ounce

So most of you have probably seen the thread about Benefit reviewing there own product with 5 stars. That got me thinking about some reviewing habits I hate.   1. Rating something poorly because the shopper bought the wrong color.  This is my #1 annoyance because I see it so often. They'll have no complaints about the product, might even love how it works, but they'll give it a 2 star review because the shade doesn't flatter them.  If a foundation oxidizes really orange, or if the pigmentation of a product is terrible, by all means, give it a bad review. But when you buy a foundation without testing it first, or realize the shade of lipstick you bought isn't as flattering as you first thought, don't blame the product.   2. Rating something badly when the shopper knowingly used it wrong. You know how a lot of people like to multipurpose makeup, or store it in odd ways? It's great when it works, often resulting in fun looks for the home and for the face.  Thing is, some products aren't made to work two jobs. You might have the best lipstick in the world, but it sucks as a cheek stain. Why? Because it's a lipstick and was designed to go on your lips, not your face. Unless you bought one of those products made to multitask, don't give bad reviews because you used a product for an unintended purpose. Same goes for storage. Don't complain that a mascara dries out quickly if you say you've got a habit of leaving the tube open for days on end.   3. Unrealistic expectations for price/quality range This one can be hard to judge, both as a review reader and writer, which is why it's last on my list. Some people get angry when a $5 product doesn't work as well as a $50 product that they're used to. The product might work great for it's price, but you'd never know that from reading the review. Likewise, some people might be over enthused by $50 product that works better than the $5 product they're used to. The $50 product might be terrible for it's price, but the reviewer doesn't realize it because the product is still better than what they're used to. From what they write it might be the best product in the world, when really it' s a waste of money.     If you guys can't tell, I've also just sorted through a bunch of poorly done reviews while trying to research products, so I needed a little venting haha. Does anyone else have any major review annoyances?

They are now available for purchase for rouge members.  I didn't know they would come up with 2 different palettes and it took me completely by surprise. my wallet was not prepared for this! I am so weak to my Vices.   If you could get only one vice palette this year, which one would you choose?

... And why aren't you waiting until they're an extra 20% off??   I keep adding these things to my cart, but they keep selling out on me, because I want to wait for the extra20 promo. Guess I'm just a cheapskate, lol.

I have always loved the idea of face masks since I was a girl, but only experienced good ones from the free samples on here. So what do you guys think? What's the best on here to buy? Oh and this is random, but I've been trying birchbox, and I'm not sure if I like it or not. Any opinions or experiences with birchbox? I'm not trying to advertise it, I'm really not sure if I like it. This one I got I only liked one or two things. And I get so many freebies on here....

So I just went to sephora in Nashville and tried. Some nars matte foundation (discontinuing this.) my shade was monte blanc and it was the perfect match lasted great on my skin! I'm just wondering what shade I should use for under eye concealer, I'll being the nars creamy one. I know it will be either the 1st or 2nd shade. I really just want to highlight with it. Suggestions are appreciated since I won't be near a sephora for a while!

Of course not everything can be reused and we tend to keep it because we love the way it looks. But there's things like creams, or other bottles you can easily refill that we can put something in.    For example, I love the little Benefit skin care packaging. I kept the Benefit Moisturizing cream jar for the longest time, the other day I bought a moisturizing gel from clean and clear that smells divine and today I got the idea of squeezing that one out of the tube and into my benefit jar.    In a way, you get the sense that you actually rebought this item without much of the cost and stuff, filling that need to want to go buy more high end products.    This is a tactic that I'm using to fill my impulse to want to buy a lot of high end things (especially after this sale event we just passed!)   Have you guys ever done something like this? If so, with what? And now that I look at it, this clean and clear gel could totally pass for a benefit product! lol

I get the feeling that 70% of the reviews on Sephora.com are fake-- posted by the product distrubutor. I always click on the user and see if they've reviewed other items or not.. I mean, almost every product has at least 4 stars total. That seems a little unlikely. It bothers me.... Luckily they have a great return policy so you can try things out yourself. Thoughts?

Hello! My brother wants some shower gel for xmas. I thought I would have lots of options on sephora.com... but it's somewhat limited. Also, I'm not familiar with men's products. Do you guys have a good shower gel to recommend? Or any gift idea for a guy?   Thanks!
