Could anyone help me locate a good, reasonably priced dupe for Clinique's Up-Lighting Liquid Illuminator in the shade Bronze? My mom uses it, but it's been discontinued recently and she's trying to find a replacement for it. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!
Ruh-Roh!! There's that number again! You know, it's the three numbers in an evil row. 😉 (I don't even like them when they're not all in a row) I've had to resort to this before and was so glad to find that others also had 'issues' with it too. I nearly 😝when I saw it! So, here's my beloved Jimmy Fallon "EW!!" to that evil trifecta! Just one little heart will make it all perfecta! Thanks a bunch! 🍀 btw - I think you truly need to hear Jimmy say "EW!!" in order to understand. 😂 He cracks me up. 😂 He is one big ball of laughter, fun and sunshine to me. I Thank God for Jimmy Fallon! He's like a Human Silver Lining or a Human Double Rainbow. (Can you tell I kinda' like him?) He is the best medicine for whatever ails me. 😊
Love recommendations on what you're loving right now from Ulta (even if it doesn't fit my criteria below, always fun to hear what you're loving!)... What I'm looking for: *BEST SELF TANNER SOLD AT ULTA? I like a dark self tan that is NOT orange of course, not heavily scented (if the DHA chemical smell is there or it smells like coconut those are OK, I just don't want heavily perfumed/floral). Dries quickly and non streaking are my other criteria. I am also looking for powder facial color cosmetic type products (blush, hl, etc.), or eye products (shadow, mascara). I love eye crayons/sticks for summer, although I guess at some point I will be saturated lol. I've been eyeing the new Urban Decay highlighters!... I can't use cream or liquid products (like foundation, cream blush) because of skin sensitivities, and I have my Bare Minerals HG foundation . I also can't use much if any skincare right now because I'm on a derm regimine for adult hormonal acne (ugh!). I can choose my own cleanser, although right now my Glytone is treating me pretty well - open to cleanser suggestions. Acne (hormonal) prone skin at the moment, otherwise 'normal' to slightly oily, and sensitive to perfumes/scents. I need moisturizer but it has to be glycerine and silicone (dimeth and other types) free, so I've been getting that at Lush! On my wish list is one skin item, Koh Gen Do wipes for pre/post yoga but unfortunately not sold at Ulta darnit! Most other wipes - Purity, Bare Minerals super irritate my skin even the ones for sensitive skin, but if other peeps have good Ulta sensitive skin wipe recs (Murad or the Ulta Micellar water ones?) I'd take those! THANKS FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS! Here are the possibilities on my list so far: - Possibly self tanner, although I was going to try Tancueticals which I don't think is sold at Ulta. - Possibly one or more of the new UD higlighters - Larger foam hair rollers for summer - UD Moondust shadows - Wipes or Micellar Wipes (ulta, simple) - Have to go swatch the new ABH shadows you all recommended!
Just wanted to take this opportunity to give a little organic love and shout out @WanderBeauty . My Exquisite Eye Liquid Eyeshadow in the shade Mocha arrived yesterday in the mail, adorably wrapped in black and white striped tissue paper, even. Of course I'm much too impatient to have thought to take a picture, but thankfully my quick-thinking boyfriend thought to document the process: Okay, that may or may not be me... but I believe everyone who participated in the "Name Our Shades" thread a while back will be receiving something (fingers crossed for you, Canada). So I'm sure someone who is significantly more composed upon receiving new toys in the mail can document. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but really looking forward to giving it a test drive! So thank you again to @WanderBeauty for including us BTers in your naming process and spreading the love!
Does anyone know a similar site? Reviews made by experts and with more brands? I feel that Paula's choice is not updated and there so many brands that are missing... Any ideas? I do love Paula's choice reviews, more o less they give you a professional overview of the product, and so much info about ingredients. Help! Have a great day everyone! XX
I purchased a blush palette online back in April, but I was not satisfied with the quality. I still have the original invoice, but I lost the return form that is needed to mail the product back. I just want to know if I can still mail it back without the return form (but with the invoice) and still receive store credit for the item. Can I still try to return it in store with the invoice, even if it's been a little over 60 days? I do not want a refund to my debit card, just store credit.
Hi! I started a thread about new VIB ROUGE ONLY Products on New Years Eve, but the title made it hard to find. (Even I couldn't find it for this update, had to scroll through my old posts.) So, What's New? This is: 6/17/16 - **NEW VIB ROUGE EXCLUSIVE PRODUCT** Item # ~1819382 ~ beauty blender VIB ROUGE ~ TWO Red Carpet Beauty Blenders (0.1 oz each) $28.00 ($40.00 Value) ~ Ltd. Edit, ~ Exclusive ~ and pretty!❤ *Does not say Online Only, so if you see it in store will you update us? (The other thread was 2016 NEW ROUGE EXCLUSIVE PRODUCT - HAPPY NEW YEARS TO US!) Hopefully this new one will be easier to find. I'll come back and put the others from that list here and do a little searching to see if there is anything else hiding anywhere. *Please feel free to post something if you find a new VIB ROUGE product. Have a great weekend everybody. 🍀
I have a $50.00 Gift Card (Canadian) and want to try to get a couple of things out of it. I am going to be asking a friend who is dropping in the City this weekend and I will be giving her an extra $20.00 so let's say $70.00 in total I have. The Sephora in the City which is like 2-3 hours away from me doesn't usually carry a lot of the stuff I want. Which is why I have to always create a list. I created a list of some stuff I want to get that I have been wanting to try in forever basically. But wondering if there is anything else worth spending money on... This is what I have so far: 1. ABH Brow Wiz 2. ABH Brow Gel 3. ABH Brush #20 (this is a maybe) 4. MUFE Aqua XL Eye Pencil in Matte Pastel Blue 5. NARS Radiant Concealer Any other suggestions?
I have a MUFE Aqua XL eyeliner and whenever I try to sharpen it, the tip breaks off in the sharpener. 1) It's a new sharpener, so the blade isn't dull. 2) I've tried putting it in the freezer before sharpening and that didn't help. Does any one have ideas on how to prevent it from breaking off? Thanks!
I have been checking since the beginning of May to pick up a kit online...Skin cancer runs in our family and I like to buy the kit for loved ones and let them have the products and I am making a contribution to more research on cancer... Very disappointed...Got an email this morning from Sephora advertising their mobile apps linked to the Sun Safety Kit...I have the app...and have Sephora bookmarked on my devices...Just wish they would give everyone a "heads up" about release dates. I just had to get this off my chest...Sephora...I am very disappointed with this rollout this year. Huge fan of your products but things seem to be too limited for your many thousands of customers. PS...By the way...a LOT of your customers are online shoppers...We don't have a local Sephora that is easy to visit...This is the most effective way to reach many customers and to keep them.
I absolutely love the online beauty reservation module for booking makeovers, however only TWO of my local stores are on there. Sephora Park Royal - ONLINE Sephora Pacific Center - ONLINE Sephora Metropolis - MISSING Sephora Coquitlam - MISSING Sephora Robson - MISSING Sephora Guildford - MISSING Sephora Abbotsford - MISSING When are these Sephoras going to get with the program? They are IMPOSSIBLE to book at through old-school means, you are lucky when they answer the phone, and they are always so scattered when you try and ask for dates. PLEASE GET THESE STORES ON THE RESERVATION PROGRAM ASAP!
Just out of sheer boredom I was thinking of fun ideas Sephora could do to entertain and engage customers.. Do you have any ideas? My ideas: Easter Egg Perk Points! To encourage customers to go 'off the beaten path' and explore the website fully.. have Perks Points as a product with limited quantity hidden around that customers can find, add to basket, and redeem. Spoiler (Highlight to read) Learning Center! Sephora and their vendors post ooooooodles of videos to try and entice you to shop here, or buy a specific product. This idea is inspired by phone apps. The idea is that there would be a Learning Center where you can sign up for watching a video/advertisement and you get 10 perk points for a small amount of your time (2 minute video, example). There could be a limit on how many you can watch per day, but essentially the companies would be getting you in front of their marketing for practically nothing. There is plenty of software already in place to limit usage/abuse and ensure you play the entire video.. just like the phone apps do, the technology exists.
I just had to put in a note about what great customer service I have received at the Polaris store in Columbus, Ohio. I purchased the Sunday Riley Power Couple duo during the sale event at the end of March on the recommendation of one of the sales associates. I started using it at the end of April, with great results. When I was in Sephora at Polaris on Thursday this week, the associate who helped me pick out the SR Power Couple duo asked me how I was liking it. I told her that I loved it, but that the pump on the serum had not worked after the first few times I had used it and since the serum was so thick I was having a hard time getting it out. Now, keep in mind, I love the product and was not asking for anything-just giving a FYI about the pump situation as feedback. The sales associate told me to please bring the duo back in and replace it. I told her I don't mind keeping it, I really like it and I've been using it for about a month now, twice a week. She said, "No, please bring it back, we want you to love your purchase, and this is an expensive item for you to have a problem with". So on Saturday I took in the duo and they happily replaced it for me. I am so impressed that the associate at Polaris went the extra mile for me, without even being asked, really. I am a Rouge Client, so of course I spend a fair amount of money in the store, but from what I can tell, they treat all of their customers this well. If you are in Columbus, Ohio, I highly recommend the Polaris store. It is always clean, well staffed, well stocked, and the staff is beyond lovely. Thanks!
I use powder-matte-grey-eye shadow for my brows. I am looking for a grey that is not dark, but soft. Presently, using Bobbi Brown's powder eye shadow-color-steel and it is too dark. I need one that is a tad lighter. Please make suggestions and send me links to your suggestion.
So I know Sephora has a 4 eyeshadow bundle for Anastasia Beverly Hills, but do they have/plan to have an 8 bundle like the ABH website? "BUNDLES: Add 4 Eye Shadow Singles for $40 + FREE Empty 4 Well Palette* Add 8 Eye Shadow Singles for $70 + FREE Empty 8 Well Palette* " Thank you!
I know that Sephora does not carry Real Techniques, but I was wondering if any one who has been purchasing them since they cam out have noticed a difference in the product? I just went yesterday to purchase a new one because my old on was quite beat up. I just used my new one today, and I must say I was very disappointed. The old one blew up a lot bigger when you wet it under the sink and was very bouncy and picked up the perfect amount of product, but the new one i bought barley grows any bigger when wetted and when I went to start blending my foundation a lot of the product just stuck to it and it was not nearly as bouncy as the old one. Has any on else had this issue or noticed this?
So I've been dying for a job at Sephora but I have no experience doing makeup nor did I go to school. I have a lot of years of retail experience and in customer service and I am and artist and went to art school (which prob doesn't help). I applied to literally every job within 25 miles of me on the Sephora careers website but haven't heard anything back yet. I'm wondering what the chances of being hired with no experience are or if I should do anything else to help my changes like call the store manager or something. Please help. My passion is so strong and I just want to get some experience so I can start a career in the industry
Today I went to Sephora with my mom and she was interested on buying a new eye cream. This kind Sephora worker helped us out and we finally decided on getting this eye serum from Algenist. It was kinda funny 'cause my mom wanted to open the box to make sure everything was okay. I've been shopping at Sephora for years and have never had a problem with any of their products being used/anything. When we came home she decided to open it to try the product out and guess what…it was used AND empty. I'm going back to Sephora tomorrow to exchange it….but I'm curious, has this ever happened to anyone else? I'm quite shock tbh. Esp since I've been buying all my beauty products from Sephora for years and this as never happened to me before.
I've always had my vanity at a window so I can see, but I am now considering having my back to a big window in order to have a big mirror with a lot of lighting. My concern is if there is good enough lighting that can accomplish what happens at a window? Or, will the sun at my back make my face dark and hard to light up. I know if I stand with my back to the window while holding a makeup mirror with a built in light, I can barely see. The unknown is what happens with a great setup with a lot of great lights. I know those lights work well if you are in a room with no window, but I'm not sure about the 'backlit' aspect. Any experience with this?
Hi, I looked through the forums but didn't see anything on self tanners. I'm pretty pale and every single self tanner I've tried has left my legs and arms streaky and orange or even sparkly. I've read and tried all the best practices like exfoliating etc and nothing seems to work. I've purchased cheaper drugstore stuff like jergens and more $50 bottles of highly rated tanner, same results across the board. I'm looking for either a gradual tanner lotion that I can put on daily and the color will build, but also looking for options for just leg makeup that I can put on when I wear dresses or shorts that can wash off later. Products I've tried: fake bake, jergens, perfeckt, tantalizer, sally hansen, infomercial air brush tanner. Thanks,
I just placed an online order and added a deluxe sample. I just realized that I was never given the option to also chose my 3 free normal samples. Is this because I had the deluxe sample? I have never had this problem in the past.
