I'm always on the lookout for fun pretty sets for gift giving - like the ones Sephora launches every Fall. Do you guys have your favorite-ever pretty sets? I loved the 2013 Sephora set (the one that opened like a vanity and I'm pretty much in love with the Pupa dolls that have been around for a couple of years...
I love Sephora, and makeup and I don't mean to rant but this is annoying! Although I am only 16 I have spent over $650 at Sephora in the past year or so! And I find it intolerable when workers are rude or judgmental based on my age! I have been followed around the store and completely watched for my age to completely ignored for it! I have been given great service at Sephora, but recently it has become worse and I honestly don't know what I should do about it!
Let me just start off by saying that I absolutely love all of the Glamglow masks! However, my two most favourite masks are the Supermud Clearing Treatment and the Powermud Dualcleanse Treatment. Can anyone let me know if this is a good routine for both masks: I feel it would be very beneficial to have a clearing treatment and a deep cleanse in one regime. I was thinking of using the Supermud every Wednesday and the Powermud every Sunday... is this a good regime or is using both masks once a week too much for the skin? Let me know! All input is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance! Ps, my skin type is combination oily, acne prone, and dehydrated.
I love the scent of the baby products - baby wash, lotion and powder I know that the shampoo is a bit less effective than the "adult" versions but does that apply to the washes as well? is the baby wash enough?
Do we have any solid information as to whether there will be special pricing when buying bundles of the new MUFE Artist Shadows? This is from Temptalia's recent post: "If you buy two or more shades, plus the duo compact, it’s $34 ($17/each), and if you purchase three shades with the trio palette, it’s $44 ($14.67/each). The boutique said they were charging $14.33/each after 3." This is no currently showing up, but she mentions in a reply to a comment that she was informed by MUFE that: " When I asked MUFE about the discount not showing, they followed up and said it would be effective August 1st." Is this accurate?
I tend to lean toward lighter more neutral shades but sometimes have fun with an eyeliner, like in grayish purple or mossy green ( thank you Urban Decay!) and I always go big on mascara. Any advice or new ideas? Thank you!
Let's say, hypothetically, that I'm going to Japan and will be able to buy anything I want....... what would be something awesome to get that we don't have here? I know there's the Maison Laduree rose petal blush (I'm really hoping it's not as expensive there) and Guerlain Meteorites Aquarella, maybe? Anything else? ps. If there are any amazing places/food I MUST see/eat, let me know, too. =)
I was told by a SA at Sephora that I don't need serum with this night treatment. She also recommend to put oil (OH pure truth activating oil I got in a value kit) before OH invigorating night treatment. I'm I wrong to think beauty oils must be put on face after serum/treatment? Thank you guys for your help!
Hi! I'm a newbee... Has anyone bought the becca sculpting compact? It's fairly new.... I like the color it produces however, it looks blotchy over time and fades. Has anyone had the same issues or can give me any suggestions? Thanks a bunch
So, on a whim I decided to give Estee Lauder Bath Oil a try last night. Let's just say, the fiance wasn't a massive fan, but I was pleasantly surprised! It is the scent that my grandmother does use, and at a whiff, I do get his point that it smells old lady-ish, but it is also very complex. If you don't stick around to deconstruct the notes it isn't nearly as enjoyable! I was getting hints of rose, woods, and incense with a hint of tuberose. I am quite happy, maybe not an everyday scent, but I like it! The only problem with these complex scents is it's also very easy to overdo it, you know, the "drop a drop a drop of glue, any more is too much glue" poem definitely goes hand in hand with perfume. Admittedly, I did overdo it a smidge last night lol!
I am 17 years old and i have a baby face. I'm just starting to get into makeup. Ive been looking for a lip gloss or lip stick color that fits me. I want it to look natural. I have big lips and a caramel skin tone. Thank You!
Take a look... It's not on Sephora's "what's new" section yet nor the "view all" section of Too Faced brand but if you are on the Too Faced home page and scroll over the "what's new" of Too Faced its there. http://www.sephora.com/ill-stop-world-melt-with-yo u-fall-2014-full-face-collection-P388105?icid2=too ...
Has anyone had a chance to try this yet? Is it the same formula as their previous tinted moisturizer? http://www.sephora.com/product/productDetail.jsp?k eyword=1621283&skuId=1621283&productId=P388108&_re ...
I haven't been all that happy with professional brush cleaners for the prices I've been paying, particularly when it comes to liquids and creams. So I decided to start checking out DIY. A lot of them seem great, my problem is they all claim to be the best/easiest. So I'm asking you guys. What are the best homemade brush cleaners? Do you prefer different ones for different types of brushes? Quick, in between color cleaners vs deep cleaners? Which ones should I avoid at all costs? I can't wait to see your input!
HAVE QUESTION. I recently received an email from sephora about extending me an offer for a position. so excited! it said in the email to click link to bring me to another page where it says to click accept offer (which i did) and it said what day orientation would be. BUT now i can't find the statement where it says what day it will be held on...it either was august 11th or august 12 because i already completed the forms. I've tried calling a couple times but no one at the store seems to pick up so im wondering if anyone knows how I would get this information without having to call.
I normally have dry skin but as soon as I put on make up the oil starts to come out leaving my face very shiny. I'm looking for a moisturizer that will keep my face looking shine-free and matte for most of the day. I typically use a drug store brand moisturizer under my makeup which consists of; NARS Sheer Matte Foundation and MAKE UP FOREVER Pro-Finish pressed powder. I've read some great reviews about the following products SHISEIDO Pureness Matifying Moisturizer Oil-Free MURAD Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 PA++ NARS Aqua Gel Luminous Oil-Free Moisturizer I got a sample and of the Murad Mattifier and got good results but I would like to explore further and get some input as to what people think about the other two.
I have found out through google and retailmenot that Kate Somerville has a 30% off holiday sale sitewide for the "holidays" I am wondering does anyone remember from years past when the sale is? I am just wondering and hoping that my current oil free moisturizer jar will hold out as I want to get the luxury size from the website and also stock up on her toner. Thank you!!!
Hey I was under the impression that VIB Rouges had unlimited FREE access to the Beauty Studio and the Rouge page even prompts me to make an appointment. However when I go to make an appointment it says the 45 minute sessions are only with a $50 purchase and that the only Free sessions are the walk-in 15 minute express sessions (which are basically just for one facial feature instead of your whole face). Please clarify! Thank you
So I got an expert opinion! What's funny is that I was looking to buy something bright but once her paw landed on "Beige Plume" I'm suddenly thinking I want to add another peachy beige to my collection, haha! I wanna see more cats (and dogs and birds and bunnies and lizards!) in and amongst your makeup! Please post some pics! =^.^=
Happy Monday Lovlies; I hope everyone got everything they wanted at the BI event this weekend. I know I spent WAYYY more than I wanted to; the fact that my husband slept in & did not accompany me may have helped. I occasionally see people's "makeover horror stories" here and I have to admit, I've caught myself thinking, "could it really have been that bad?" Well, you'll have to judge my sob story for yourself, but here are the facts: I asked for a recommendation for an angle liner brush for my daily cat-eye liner look. The SA recommended his favorite brush, a double ended Stila job. It had a point and a smudge, not an angle, but he claimed it was very versatile. He offered to demo with a smudge pot; I accepted but asked him to go easy with the product. My eyes had been sore after watching a 3-D movie with contact in the day before. The MUA proceeds to not just SLATHER my lower waterline with black gel liner, but to get giant swipes of product all over my contacts! I looked in the mirror and there were clumps of liner all over...my contacts, my tear ducts, and under my eyes. "Oh....that's on your contact...oops" he said. I always carry a spare pair with me, so I went ahead and changed out the liner-caked lenses for a fresh pair, so I could, you know, SEE. He acted like he was doing me a favor by disposing of my old contacts, LOL! After that, I browsed by myself and ticked a bunch of products off my list. Including the Stila brush - it's actually quite nice! Got a great haul, drove home, and wore my glasses for the rest of the day Thanks for listening! Just had to share my silly story.
