Hi - don't know if anyone else feels this way, but I have a major problem with fragrance samples - P.U. This part is especially to the mods/whoever else reads all of this - Is there any way you could put perfume samples in a separate baggie? Preferably a sealed one. Do you think this is doable?? ** I just started opening one of many Sephora packages and got to one where I didn't even get the box opened, but could smell the very strongly scented, perfume inside. I had to put it in another room,, in hopes of the smell wearing off. (I've already heard complaints on how it's stinking up that room too **sigh**) I don't know if it leaked or what happened, but it smells so strong and so overpowering and just plain Nasty!! Sometimes I find that if something like a lip product is packed with a smelly something or other, they can take on the scent of whatever the smelly offender might be, which isn't necessarily a good thing. Do you think there's anything that can be done about this? (Other then the obvious, 'don't order perfume samples stupid') I only get perfumes if there are no other samples that work for me. Then I pass them along to my friends, family etc. They're usually thrilled! Any thoughts on what could be done in the future? Hope others agree and that it's not just me. I will admit, I do have very heightened senses, but sometimes you know it's not just you (i.e. all the moaning/groaning I'm hearing about smelling up another whole room) Maybe you can send this to the 'higher ups' too. ***Hope others will mention if they agree with this stinky issue, strength in numbers and all. You don't have to heart this - maybe just put a 'me too' or 'same' - then it would be known it's not just one crazy woman. Thanks all, I appreciate it. ps - I'll let y'all know how I like what's in the box in about a week or so, my special-ordered Pink HazMat suit should be here by then and hoping it will be safe to go near by then. btw - Help Mods.....Please and Thank You. UPDATE - Well, the 'offending package' was moved to a 3rd room this morning before I woke up - I fear the next step will be out on the deck! Unfortunately it's not a mini order, but one with several items. **Ginormous Sigh**
Just bought the benefit they're real mascara. when i opened it, it was so easy. no clicking sound, not resistance at all. however, when i closed it again i felt a click, telling me it was totally sealed. does that mean that it was opened before i took it out of the box? it looked kind of open.. please help!
I just bought the "they're real" benefit mascara. when i opened the box, it seemed fine. but when i opened the mascara itself, it was really easy to open. but maybe thats just how it is? i dont know if there's some sort of click or something to let me know that i've completely closed it, in which case, it should've clicked when i opened it for the first time? i don't know, somebody please help i dont want to go back to the store i've been there so much doing exchanges.
Since the new category on the Sephora homepage is clearly a page that is hand updated (in the era of populating off a tag to aggregate, I have no idea why), what is your strategy to keep up with what is really new in Sephora? I've taken to once a week popping open the brand page for my favorites (makes Firefox really mad) and pull all products, look for price drops and the new tag to show up there. Just today found some stuff in BareMinerals (deluxe foundation pot), Urban Decay (setting sprays), and Lavanilla (deorderant trio and scent trio) that had not posted yet in the forums. It is unbelievable the lengths we're having to go to find items (sometimes limited edition stuff). Posting this in the feedback forum, even though it is website feedback instead of forum software.
I am so pleased I had to share! I use drug store moisturizers with spf daily, and I have tried many including neutrogena, olay and aveeno. I hav oily/normal combination skin and up to today I though a little bit greasiness due to my lotion/sunscreen was unavoidabke unless I want to switch to higher end products. A couple of weeks ago I realized I was running low on my Neutrogena oil free face lotion and while I was in target I picked Eucerin lotion because it was only 6.99 and I was not super happy with my current lotion. Today I just tried Eucerin and I can't believe I was wasting my money on all those mousturizers that claim to be non greasy! This is by far the best thing I tried so far, it has spf 30 instead of the common spf 15 in oil free lotions. I had no white cast to my face either. I hope I can always find Eucerin at my local target! Have you guys tried this lotion before? What do you think?
Is it possible for Sephora get a "Save for Later" option like Amazon? I know this tool would help a lot of people out significantly due to the fact that people put items in their carts just to see when the prices of their item go on sale, or who plan to buy it in the future and put it in their carts as references. The tool would help a lot because the buyer wouldn't need to empty their whole cart in order to buy specific items they need only during that time... This option would be similar to the LOVE tab, but you don't LOVE the item, you are just putting it there for future reference.
i just bought the too faced mascara today when i came home and opened it, it was really light. i dont know if it's supposed to be like that, though. i was at the register and i asked the lady if they had any more of the mascara in stock because there were no more on the shelves. she left the register to go and look, and im assuming that she got it out of the storage that they keep underneath the display. i didn't go with her, so i didn't see. but she came back and i bought it. the packaging seemed really intact. actually, i had to rip the upper tab a little bit because it was hard to open. anyway, when i opened it, it seemed really light. and i can't tell if it's because it was used or if its just light. can anyone help me? the last mascara i used was the maybelline great lash, and i know that has about one and a half times more than what comes in the better than sex mascara. so maybe i'm just not used to it. help please?
sorry for the rant but this is just ridiculous! how can a product, literally released yesterday already have 35 reviews and they're all about how they can't wait for the item to arrive or they're mad it's out of stock. this is so frustrating because reviews like these seriously screw up the ratings and I just get so irritated since I partially rely on people's reviews since I have to do most of my shopping online.
I was tossing a few samples into my sample stash bag, and realized a) I have a sample hoarding problem and b) I have no clue what I've got in there. So Going along with blackwhiskey's makeup challenge, I'm proposing the September Sample Challenge. For the last 10 days of September, use at least 5 samples from your stash, then give us your mini review. Did you like it? Would you purchase it? Etc. so.....who's up for another challenge?
I am fortunate enough to live next to several Sephora locations so I can stop by to test out a product in person or ask for samples in stores. However, for people who shop online because they don't live near a Sephora or for homebodies like myself, wouldn't it be great if we could receive samples of almost anything on the website instead of the small selection of samples we are confined to? I think sometimes people who don't have access to a store or for items that are only sold online, offering samples or foundations and skin care online could help reduce the amount of returns. Even if it's for a small fee I think that would be reasonable. CRC lets you purchase small samples of various foundations online to test the color/finish. I highly doubt Sephora will start doing this -_- but does anyone else think this would be more convenient? Also, this might help avoid incidences when your samples or point perks are substituted with something you really don't want.
Hi all! Question on order of product application - should I be using the PTR Retional Fusion PM before or after Clinique Acne Gel? Can I also use the Clinique Dark Spot corrector somewhere in this routine? All of it should go before moisturizer, right? I am trying to both treat current acne breakouts and prevent more in the future, as well as try to lighten dark spots caused by previous acne. I've always been a little confused regarding the order of things and figured I should ask. Thanks!
Not that anyone probably cares…with the new holiday stuff up…but Sephora restocked the sale page and KVD Saint is back along with the other sale stuff that sold out. Yes, I'm more drawn to the new holiday stuff too…but figured I'd point it out. http://www.sephora.com/true-romance-eyeshadow-pale tte-saint-P292313?skuId=1325083
They are now available for purchase for rouge members. I didn't know they would come up with 2 different palettes and it took me completely by surprise. my wallet was not prepared for this! I am so weak to my Vices. If you could get only one vice palette this year, which one would you choose?
So right now I am using the bareminerals power multitasking power (not sure the exact name). But I am looking for something a little stronger. I have somewhat noticeable circles under my eyes. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Hi - I was wondering if anyone has tried this yet. I did see a few reviews but didn't get enough info from them, plus it's always nice to chat 'personally' with bt girlfriends about things like this. It says there's "fragrance' listed in the ingredients, but it didn't list anything that gave me a good idea of what the 'fragrance' is - didn't list menthol or peppermint oil or anything like that. Can anyone tell me more about the flavor/fragrance of this? Some of you know fragrance can be a real deal breaker for me (just a whiff can cause major headaches) Anyone have some inside info? The colors look beautiful and I'm always on the look out for a new & better plumper - so any info you could share about any facet of this pretty plumper would be most appreciated. Thanks all.
Hello lovely people! I currently live overseas and I need help with a foundation colour match before I purchase an item online. I've super curious about Too Face's Cocoa powder foundation. I have never bought foundation from any brand that Sephora carries so I cant use their foundation database but I'm an NC20 for MAC's studio fix foundation. Can anyone make a suggestion? Or if you are also an NC20 and have the cocoa foundation what colour do you have? Thanks!! Happy shopping!
I bought Laura Mercier foundation about a month ago and I finally tried it, but it breaks me out. I didn't keep the packaging and receipt because Laura Mercier products never broke me out, but this one did. So can I still return this even if I don't have packaging and receipt?
I've been waiting for these for months--I love the Sephora favorites sets! They were just posted and when I initially saw them, I was thrilled. However, they are SO similar to last year--almost the same exact products. I was hoping to see some newer items as a lot has been released over the last year. A lot of money saved, I guess. I'm still holding out for a larger lip one...here's to hoping that'll be great!
