Back during the 20% sale, I bought my mom the new UD anti-aging eye primer. She found it drying, so I was hoping to exchange it for the old formulation. (Product is unopened. She used my sample from the UD 500 pt kit.) Anyone have issues exchanging without a receipt? I know the product shows up in my Sephora account, so I can nail down the date when it was purchased, but I just can't find that stupid receipt!
Ok! Usually I never complain. But! For the past 5 month I spent at Sephora around $450 and..... I did not get a VIB, cause some of my products were not added to my account. I have all receipts, I have products. I went to the store. they said I have to call 1800-sephora. I did....they said oh you have to send a FAX with your receipts. Excuse me?? I have to search for the fax in order to prove I have spend almost $500 when it was the stuff's mistake. Please, it's almost end of the year and I don't want to loose the chance of getting VIB.
Do not purchase anything from b2bitems on ebay! Some of the older members may remember, I posted a picture of my makeup case (Acrylic) that my husband bought me for an anniversary present. Well 4 months after it arrived, it cracked. I took pictures of the item and sent it to the seller and they told me to send it to them and they would replace the base (I took the drawers out and sent the base to them. I asked them if there was anything I needed to do (include an invoice, anything). they said just send the case. Well I contacted them a few days after I saw that it had arrived at their warehouse. They sent me a few pictures and said that USPS cracked it in 4 places and that USPS will have to reimburse me and then I can place another order for another case. and that I should have sent it in two boxes (like it had originally been shipped to me with bubble wrap) They never made that clear and I had even asked them what I needed to do. WTheck!! What scammers! I had asked them what they wanted me to do- they never said to package it in two boxes and wrap it in bubble wrap (I packed it in one box with bubble wrap). I should have known something was wrong from the beginning when they kept blaming me that the case broke and said I used cleaning products on it (which I absolutely did NOT do and I made that crystal clear to them). They just kept responding that I must have. Now they offer to send me back my completely smashed case. that's it. how do I know they didn't smash it in their warehouse? Lesson: DO NOT BUY FROM b2bitems on ebay If you are looking for a large acrylic case DO NOT buy from b2bitems. they are dishonest.
Okay ladies, I noticed something SO weird while browsing around the christmas gift set area today at my local Walmart. I recently purchased the Sephora Rose Gold Mineral Brush Set on sale at Sephora for $29, so I know exactly what it looks like in person and online. I've felt and played around with the brushes and I'm positive I've found the EXACT same set at Walmart for $14.. right down to the details and texture of the travel case. The only thing is it isn't labeled at Sephora, theres no silver hardware on it that says so, but i opened the package and saw the exact same brushes right down to the colour and size of the same set i have and payed double the price.. and originally double THAT price! How insane is that.. I've attached pictures to show you. NOT cool. Here is the brush set on sale at Sephora now: http://www.sephora.com/rose-gold-mineral-brush-set -P309107
I'll be moving to Flagstaff, Arizona, and I spend 50% of my time there now. I HOPE to see a store there SOON! There are a few in the Phoenix area, but that is over a 2 hour drive away. Flagstaff is a college town, therefore there are a lot of 20-something year old girls. Flagstaff also has a lot of women who use natural products, free of sulfates and parabens (such as myself). I think that a Sephora store would do well there. I have shopped Sephora for about 10 years now. I would love to even work at a Sephora store in Flagstaff! ~Jenn
So this post is just giving random ideas of things that BT could do to upgrade the forums a bit. * Having ability to access the forum via mobile phone or app for the site * Having ability to delete your own post within someone's post or deleting your main post without having to get mods to do it * Having ability to close your account or deactivate it should you wish to take a break or leave the site, without it affecting your Beauty Insider account * Having ability to remove inappropriate posts from your own main post Anyone else have ideas, it'd be nice if we had a bit more options on hand, and I am not trying to knock how the site is, just suggestions is all.
Tons of ELF gift sets at Big Lots today. Super cheap to begin with and on top of that they were discounted. Good stocking stuffers for those that like ELF. The large sets at the bottom were $10 and on sale for $7.75.
Beauty Choice dot com has GLAMGLOW Tingling & Exfoliating Mud Mask Tube .5 oz TWO for $9.95!!! That size is normally $19.95 each. I apologize ahead of time for the enabling and those on no-buy. http://www.sephora.com/youthmud-tinglexfoliate-tre atment-P375741?skuId=1463801
I was in a Sephora today and spotted this gorgeous jar! It's a new hydrating mask from our beloved GlamGlow. And the smell? OMG it's heaven. I just looked it up and it is releasing in January. Maybe the store I was at was overzealous with their shipment?
I've compiled a list of gluten-free beauty products available on sephora.com.
Gluten: Gluten is a protein derived from wheat and related grains, including barley and rye. There are some cosmetics products labeled as gluten-free. If you are interested in these products look for statements like “gluten-free” or “no gluten” on the product package label. Because of periodic changes in product ingredient formulations and sources, for the most up-to-date information we recommend contacting brands directly regarding gluten-free status of their products.

Smashbox has advised that the following products do contain gluten; the rest of their line (with the exception of seasonal items such as palettes and limited edition products) are gluten-free.
Smashbox items which contain gluten:
Bionic Mascara (Jet Black), Layer Lash Primer, Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder (all shades), Doubletake Lip Color (Praline, Sugar Spice, Cranberry), Lip Treatment SPF 15
We cannot claim that any of our products are gluten free. Some of our products contain ingredients/source of gluten [wheat germ oil, vit E etc]. As all our products are produced by the same production line and although a very strict cleansing procedure is followed after every production, we have not the possibility to check our products for traces of eventually allergical ingredients in low-value (high-ratio) proportions [parts-per-million (ppm)]. Thus we cannot claim for our products that are gluten free.
Products which do not contain gluten as an ingredient-

Heh, I just lost 40-50 hearts in the last 20 min, so either someone suddenly decided that they REALLY don't like me, or some threads I got really passionate on got deleted. Which reminded me of something: - Can you please notify the original poster when a thread is closed or deleted? I know mods move threads around to appropriate sections, and recently have started to post a note about closed threads, but last time one of my thread was closed, it was done quietly and since I made the thread, I would like to be notified if it's closed. - Can we/the poster please have the option to edit the title of the thread? I'm not sure how easy/difficult this would be, but it would be very much appreciated if we can have this option. - Can we please please please have the subscription page somewhere obvious? It's almost impossible to find it. I subscribe to threads I'm interested in but it takes me ages to find the page where we manage our subscriptions. Perhaps put a little icon beside the PM on our side profile? or some link on our main profile page? And the font color / size / family still don't work . These options have been taunting me since the beginning of time. I would appreciate the option to make my posts pretty. Thanks!
I'm just wondering - if an item I want is out of stock online and everywhere near me and I find it at another store out of state (really far away) could that store ship it to me or ship it to a store in my area? I know it's probably a long shot, but I'm hoping...
I heard from a Sephora skincare expert that Boscia is expanding their Tsubaki line. Came home and noticed a couple new products on the website... http://www.sephora.com/tsubaki-cleansing-oil-gel-P 384108?skuId=1565118 http://www.sephora.com/tsubaki-deep-hydration-slee ping-mask-P384109?skuId=1565126
I'm not sure if this is enabling or not? Just thought I'd mention that there is a FB group called Julep Swap where you can swap colors, buy and sell etc. Lots of girls there that make their own Indie colors and sell them too. *Disclaimer* It's not my group so I'm not promoting anything. Just thought I'd mention it.
I was wondering if a mod could please help me When will the Nars Ita brush #21 come back in stock? I've been wanting this brush for a while now and I'd prefer to purchase it from Sephora. I talked with Nordstrom's and they aren't planning on carrying it anymore ( muuuwahhhh I'm not sure if NARS is discontinuing this brush… Seems unlikely as it's really popular.
Hi friends, I've decided to take the plunge and purchase some of these beauties. Anyways, I'm fair skinned (please note- pale as a ghost), with freckles (not sure if that matters?) red hair and brown eyes. Which ones would work best for me? Thanks all!
This should be fun! I thought why don't we fill in the blanks of what we are primarily using right now. It would be fun to see the variety of answers! Foundation: Concealer: Eyeliner: Eyeshadow: Powder: Blush: Bronzer: Lipstick: Lipgloss: Mascara: Brows:
I received a $30 gift card to Sephora last week. I know it's not much. I can spend about $20 of my own money too. So I want to buy something really worth it. A staple. I am also new to makeup. I already have plenty of eye and lip products. Some of my favorite brands are Clinique, Bareminerals, Tarte, and Smashbox. So what should I spend with my $30????
I just ordered new foundation and other items yesterday at about 3 pm. Im in Baltimore. My UPS says it is already sitting on my doorstep since an hour ago. WOW! I know there is a distribution center here in MD but it has never been delivered so fast!!!! Go Sephora during the holidays! Now lets hope I got my Dior lipstick promo and not a sub.
I went to my local Sephora today and saw a bunch of NEW Sephora Favorites sets! Well at least, I believe they're new. I've only been a Sephora addict for a few months now. They are an essential oils set (face oil, hair oil, cleansing oil, body oil), set of 5 Sephora brand eyeliners, a new Favorites set, and a set of "glow" products like bronzers and High Beam. What new sets have you spotted recently and which are catching your eye?
I hate to be one of those people who say I'm never shopping at Sephora again Blah blah blah. But I have just had the most HORRID experience at my local SIJCP store. I recently bought the Kat Von D lock it tattoo foundation online (42 no longer available in stores). Needless to say this foundation did not play nice with my dry skin so I headed to my local sephora packing slip in hand to return/find something different. However the associate wouldn't let me do it!! She was so snotty and rude to me I almost cried right there at checkout. I gave her my reciept and the foundation (still in the box) and she asked for my license and proceeded to tell me it wouldn't accept my return because I have returned too many items with no receipt.(she was acting so superior like I was some kind of clepto or scum of the earth) What?? Imagine my confusion because 1. I did in fact have my receipt in hand and 2. I have never returned something without the packing slip. She proceeded to inform me that the PACKING SLIP IS NOT A RECIEPT and therefore had to be processed as a return with no reciept. SInce I am not near a free standing sephora every online order I return goes back to this SIJCP store. SO needless to say I was unable to complete the return. I was so humiliated I turned and high tailed it out of there and didn't even get to redeem my $15 off of $50 that expires today. Up until now I have been a loyal Sephora customerr because of their generous return policy and I could have confidence that if I ordered something online and the product didn't work for me I could bring it back. Apparently is no longer the case..... Sorry for the super long rant, but I'm just so upset right now
I have this same problem with the Naked 2... I feel like all of the colors just get really muddy when you try to use them together. Anyone feel the same and/or have any suggestions? It's so much money that I feel like if I really don't love it, I'm just going to return it.
