wrong shipping address: Canadian Order! HELP!?
Hi! After much deliberation, I put in an order. As soon as I clicked "place order" I saw it had my OLD shipping address! Thinking this would be an easy thing to modify because I just placed it, but it doesn't look like it? The customer service line is closed for another 6 hours. I'm panicking because I don't live there anymore and have NO idea who does, surely someone who will love keeping my $100 Sephora order! I've read through past answers and they mention contacting UPS once they order has shipped to change the address, however my order is going to Canada through Borderfree and then Canada Post so I don't think it's even going through UPS at all. Sick with worry Does anyone know what I can do?

Pregnancy-safe skincare & makeup
My best friend is pregnant and is having some breakouts. She is too busy and exhausted to figure out an alternate skincare regime that will be safe for her baby since so many ingredients that are common to beauty products are on a no-no list. Can someone please help me?   I would like to determine safe products for the following (all for the face):   * Wash * Exfoliator * Moisturizer + broad spectrum SPF * Powder or very light foundation (is Smashbox safe? I think she would like that if it's okay) * Mascara * Lip gloss   Thanks in advance to all for your help!   (FYI, there is no specific price point, whatever works best)

Friendly Beauty Talk Reminder
Hello all! I just wanted to follow up and give a quick reminder for our Beauty Talk guidelines and requests with our posts and private messages.    Respect for all is one of our top Sephora values that is practiced in our stores, offices and througout Beauty Talk. It extends towards respect for other users, our community experts, moderators and Sephora Pro's and is a value we take pride in and take very seriously.   Everyone is free to disagree but please play nice and respect the opinions and thoughts of those around you to prevent any futher or future hostility and to keep Beauty Talk the fun and welcoming community that we aim for.   Should you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to reach out to myself or any other moderators  (Keely, Janine, Melissa or Mia) and we will do our best to assist you!    For futher reference you can review the guidelines for Beauty Talk at the link below: http://bit.ly/Xlt2tk   and our Terms of Use:  http://bit.ly/11VFdRR   Welcome to Sephora’s BeautyTalk Welcome to BeautyTalk! Here, you can ask for advice, chat about your beauty experiences, and exchange ideas, tips, information, and techniques with fellow Sephora addicts.   To participate in the BeautyTalk community, all you need to do is be a registered user of Sephora.com. It’s totally free and easy, we promise.   When interacting on BeautyTalk, please follow our User Guidelines,  Sephora Terms of Use , and the  Sephora Privacy Policy , all of which are available here for reference. (Basically, it just says to play nice.) A heads up: We can modify them at anytime without notice, so be sure you keep up-to-date.   What is BeautyTalk and how does it work?   BeautyTalk is an online community. It is a place for discussion, asking questions, and sharing experiences. Users can post questions and answers to problems they have been encountering, search for advice, and even talk about their favorite subject with others that share the same interests.    A little forums history: Because online communities feature questions, answers and feedback provided by their own users, they are unique knowledge hotspots that have the potential to reach hundreds and thousands of people at any given time.  While anyone can search the Beauty Talk for information, only registered users can post new questions, answers, or comments. Additionally, members can track discussions and even receive notifications whenever new posts are made.  Keep the following common-sense rules when participating in Beauty Talk discussions. Be nice.  Sephora’s Beauty Talk involves participants with a wide range of beliefs and ideas about the subjects they’re discussing. We encourage an open dialogue, but require that participants remain courteous and respectful at all times. Please avoid any language that is abusive, intimidating, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable. This also includes having a tone that is consistently critical, derogatory, or otherwise negative. If we see any of the above, we will exercise our right to edit or remove any post that violates these guidelines. We can also limit or suspend the access of any participant who violates these guidelines. Have good netiquette.  When posting messages, please remember that the people who read them sometimes can’t tell what you meant to say or how you intended to say it. Avoid “screaming” your thoughts in ALL CAPITAL letters. And remember that people that may not know you will read your comments. If you think your comments could be misinterpreted, they probably will be. If you think someone has misunderstood you, or has challenged your position, address it calmly in a non-threatening manner. Your moderator will be able to help, but it’s always best for the participants to work it out. Keep the peace! **Additionally, while we do not set formal limits on how much you can post, voluminous posting—whether in terms of number of posts or their length—can  majorly  interfere with other conversations. There's room here for many points of view, so don't feel like you need to have the last word. **   What is my role in the online community?    Everyone is essential in an online community. Without you, there wouldn’t be a community. By visiting often (and participating) you not only add to the user-created knowledge base, but you also encourage others to do the same. (Trendsetter!) If you come with your toughest beauty issues, you’ll probably be able to find someone else that has the same problem or can point you in the right direction. Then if you’re able to find a solution that works for you, you can add your own insights and experience. Chances are that you may have an answer that someone else has been seeking. Everyone wins. Remember that online communities should be fun, friendly, informative, and appropriate for everyone.   Privacy.  BeautyTalk is a public forum widely accessible on the Internet. Titles -- Curator, Guest, etc.
Hello! I understand the Beauty Talk titles, somewhat (i.e., Newcomer, Scene Queen, Beauty Maven, Beauty Buff, Beauty Whiz) -- but what does it mean when someone is a Beauty Curator, Ambassador or Special Guest? They have a flag next to their names, instead of a heart. Are they people who work in the industry? Just curious -- thanks!

How-to: Tags
What is a tag? A tag is a single keyword that describes the topic, theme, or subject of the post. You can add as many tags as you wish, and so can other community members. You can use tags to bookmark, categorize, or identify a post. Your tags can also help other community members find interesting content. What is a tag cloud? A tag cloud displays tags used frequently within the community or within an area of the community. The more frequently a tag is used, the larger it appears in the tag cloud. Just by looking at a tag cloud, you can get a sense of what the hot topics are in a given area. What can I do with tags? Tagging is a way to help other users discover interesting posts. It's also a way to organize content in the community that you think is related. When you apply tags to a post, you are helping other Beauty Talk members find content that is important to them.   To add a tag: In the message box, click in the Add Tag Type your tags into the Add Tag field. You can type more than one tag - just put a space between tags. Click Add Tag . The Tags area updates with your new tags. That's all there is to it.                           Where are my tags? You can find messages you've tagged by visiting your profile and clicking the tag. You can also click on a tag on any cloud and look at the Most Tagged section.

How-to: Hearts
What are Hearts? Hearts are a content rating system that lets you vote for the messages you think are the most useful or important. When you give a Heart to a message, you are offering a thumbs-up for good content and a pat on the back to its author. Your Hearts help to boost the value of certain messages and enhance the reputation of their authors. How do I give a Heart to a message? You can give a Heart to any post in the community except your own.  To give a Heart to a message and its author: Click the black and white striped heart on the right side of the message.   If you change your mind about the quality of the message, you can revoke your Heart. To revoke the Heart you've given: Choose Options > Revoke My Hearts . The Heart count is updated and the Heart badge shows that you can now Heart the message again. How can I see who gave Hearts to my message? You can see who “hearts” your message in the “Hearts From” section of your profile page. You can also see Hearts activity for other community members on their Profile pages. To see who has given you Hearts: Click your login name to go to your Profile page.  Your Profile pages shows the messages you’ve given Hearts to, the names of the members who gave you Hearts, and the names of the members who you’ve given Hearts to. To see all of your recent Hearts activity in an area, click the view all link at the bottom of the list. Your Hearts Activity page shows the recent Hearts you've given or received. Click the tabs to see more info about your Hearts activity. How can I see which members have received the most Hearts? On the Beauty Talk homepage, The Top Contributors box rotates to show the members who have the most hearts in the following categories: Makeup, Skin, Fragrance and Hair. Why can't I give Hearts to some messages? There are a few reasons why you might not be able to give Hearts to a post. You've already given Hearts to this message (you can only give them once). You wrote the message (you can't give Hearts to your own messages). Your Hostess has turned Hearts off for a message or a forum. Your Hostess has frozen Hearts for this message. You can still see how many Hearts the message has received, but you can't give it any more Hearts.

How-to: Personalize Beauty Talk
How do I change my avatar? Your avatar is the picture displayed next to your name. You can personalize your avatar by uploading a picture you would like to use from your image gallery on your profile page. If you do not upload a picture you will be given the default avatar.   To upload an image to your image gallery: 1.      Go to your profile page 2.      Click the “edit” link in the top right corner of “my image gallery” 3.      You will be taken to an upload page. Click on “browse” 4.      Upload your image. For the best results, the image should be a square and measure 195 x 195 pixels. 5.      Your image will appear on the right. Click “save to gallery” 6.      Click on the newly saved image. 7.      From the “Image Options” dropdown menu above the image, choose “use image as avatar”.   To delete an image: 1.      From the image gallery on your profile page, click on the image you would like to delete 2.      From the “Image Options” dropdown menu above the image, choose “delete image”.   How do I tell other users about me? Your Personal Profile contains information that let other Beauty Talk users know a little about you. You have control over what information you post, and whether it is visible to all users, your "Friends," or to no one. Whatever your choice, please do not post any confidential information, or anything you don't want others to see.   The “About Me” “My Top 10 Favorite Products” and “Image Gallery” sections of your profile page can all be edited by clicking on the “edit” button in those sections, or by going to “My Settings.”   The information next to your avatar on your profile page (birthday, hair color, eye color, etc.) is taken from your Beauty Insider profile and can be updated by editing your profile from the Beauty Insider account page.  You will see the changes reflected to your Beauty Talk profile after you have logged out of sephora.com and then logged back in.   What is my Friends List? Your Friends List has three functions: If you have entered personal information on your Personal Profile page, and if you have checked the Friends Only option for Profile Privacy on your Display & Privacy Settings tab, then only people on your Friends List will be able to see your personal information.   Similarly, if you have checked the Friends Only option for Online Status on your Display & Privacy Settings tab, then only people on your Friends List will be able to see when you are online or not.   When you send a message in the Private Messenger, all your friends will appear in a dropdown menu that you can select from. If you come with your toughest beauty issues, you’ll probably be able to find someone else that has the same problem or can point you in the right direction. Then if you’re able to find a solution that works for you, you can add your own insights and experience. Chances are that you may have an answer that someone else has been seeking. Everyone wins.
