It has been 2 months in 2014. Lot's of people don't have enough money to spend $350, let alone $1000. But a lot of people who are just Beauty Insiders willing to pay for the $60 collection. The major part of the Beauty Insiders are not VIB and Rouge. It would help Sephora with the selling of the product to open it to all. I know we all have to spend money for the special status, but nobody from sephora is saying when we can buy the collection. So there are people wanting to buy this product for even $100 but, can't.
I just wanted to say to all of the newcomers, welcome to BT, but you may want to be careful of the personal information you share on here as it is a public forum and is searchable through any search engine. That is the photos you post as well. I just wanted you all to be aware that anyone can use what you post for anything. Sephora also has access to all of your PM's as well and whatever identifying information in you BI account. Hope you have a great time like I do on this beauty forum.
In an effort to keep our boards a positive environment and continue to remain the fun loving product-obsessed community we are, I want to send a reminder to please, play nice with one another!
Everyone was new to Beauty Talk at one point or another and we ask that you please do not take it upon yourselves to "educate" or "moderate" our new friends with guidelines outside of what we already have posted. (regarding posts, board rules, etc.) This is what us mods are here for!
We're happy to participate, chat about product and help out when needed, but keep in mind that every post that comes through IS indeed seen by us and we will take the appropriate action. You can absolutely message us or flag anything as "abusive" if you feel it truly necessary.
Please refrain from any insulting, negative or bullying comments (this includes PM's) to other users, moderators or admins, whether they are new or seasoned. This is NOT tolerated and should it continue we will have to reconsider allowing any of the TSB threads to be posted or even individual participation/memberships in Beauty Talk. We would truly hate to do this so please- embrace your fellow BT'ers and share your passion for product with each other! Please keep in mind this is not a new rule, nor is it being changed for anyone new to the boards- but is the same reminder we post every few months.

Hi I'm almost 15 and I have this really dark, raised mole almost on the middle of my forehead, a little bit to the right and just above my eyebrow. I've been covering since 5th grade with side bangs and they get extreemely annoying and I'm a freshman in highschool now and it's really time to grow them out or start pinning them up. I am soo tired of them, they get in my eyes, my best friends always imitate me sweeping them to the side every few seconds, and I know that it does not look good putting your bangs down every single day and never moving them. Only my family and my best friends have seen me with my bangs up and I really need that to change. So my mole is raised and I need a heavy full coverage concealer/foundation/whatever to hide it. I don't really care THAT much that people can still see a slight bump, I just want something to cover the darkness. So basically I want it fully concealed. I don't want to spend a lot of money on a little bottle of something so I was looking for something that actually works for under 30. PLEASE HELP!! I've never put foundation on or tried anything to conceal it...
It seemed like a lot you people liked this one - I don't always check the point perks and wondered if anyone else sometimes skipped them too. That's why I wanted to post this, just in case someone who really wanted this point perk may not have stopped to check the perks section. Happy shopping.
I just saw this for the first time today The item number for this item is 1507352. It's really a bit strange looking and I was just really curious to see if any of my bt buddies have used it yet. I don't have really any experience with this type of liner and wondered if the 'packaging/housing' of this might make application easier or more difficult. Thanks all.
I've been cleaning mine by dipping them in warm water and then putting some dove soap in my hand and twirling it around. Then I just rinse it out and repeat until it rinses clear. After that I twirl them on a towel and let them air dry. I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions that might be more effective? I've also wondered about using a little baking soda to clean them.
I am currently using La Mer´s treatment fluid foundation which has been working tremendously for me... and have been playing around with several of my brushes. I have and tried the hourglass foundation brush as well as Chanel´s flat foundation brush and MAC´s small stippling brush.. but can´t seem to find the best one that works. I´d like a brush that is synthetic and doesn't shed at all. I´m not too worried about price point as long as it is good quality and lasts a long time...all suggestions are welcome!!
Or is a little dog that sits on your lap called a "Lappie"? We call 'a little bit of some type of generally annoying piece of something probably fabric related' that usually attaches itself to your clothes' a "Fuzzagitzis" My best friend calls it a "Foozle" Don't know why, but the 'Lippie/Lappie' thing just popped into my brain. I was just wondering what other abbreviations or nicknames you all might have for various things. Thought this might be fun. Have to dash, gotta go eat and then reapply my Lippie before I come and check out your responses on my Lappie. Thanks in advance for indulging me. Edit - Ruh-Roh, should this go somewhere else? Sorry. Move-able if necessary?
Hey guys thanks for taking the time to read this, I just wanted to ask whats the best starting-out foundation? I'm 15 yrs old with oily skin (thanks dad) and was wondering what foundation was right for me. This might sound odd but what ever price is fine as long as its not out of the $80 range. some foundations at the drugstore just make my face look like a birthday cake so yeah! I also have acne prone skin. thank you !
I'm a newb at Sephora and for the past few months have only been ordering things online. I went in the store today for the first time and made a few purchases. I noticed that every item I purchased was cheaper in the store than online. Is it like that at all of the Sephora stores? For 3 items I saved about $20 vs buying it online. Edit: I just realized I was looking at the Canada website. Oops! >.<
I am a middle eastern 30 something women with dark circles that I just can't hide. no matter what I do or what I wear I never look well rested or bright eyed. I know I am harder on my circles then anyone else is, but I just see them as a burden. help please. is there any out there that can help. I think I tried almost everything but any suggestions are wonderful. is my olive skin just doomed????
Trying to decide what promo code to use, wondered if anyone knew the size of this. I also couldn't tell for sure if it has the curved brush that the full sized version has. Hoping someone will have this info. Thanks in advance.
I was going to start a thread to try and find out where the heck rikkie is and then I saw that she has 4607 (or 4608) Hearts. How awesome is that? I'm hoping if we click our lipsticks together and give rikkie some hearts, maybe she'll re-appear. You think? I miss you rikkie.
Is is just me? Or does this stuff smell Nasty? It never even made it to my lips. To me, it smelled like.......yellow snow....minus the snow. If you know what I mean. (sorry, tried to put that as delicately as I could) I bought this from the sale section, I almost got it in a few different colors and I'm soooo glad I didn't. Just wondered if anyone else had this same...'experience'.
Hi all - I just wanted to let you know that Beauty (dot com) has 20% off on certain accessories through 3/1/14. One of the eligible items is Z Palettes. I'm not sure when the 20% is deducted, maybe at checkout. There's no link needed, you can see it on the home page. I was also wondering if you all could tell me more about Z Palettes? I only recently saw somebody here mention them. Can you tell me the abc's and 123's of the Z's? Thanks I just have one other favor to ask....Please feel free to order away but, please save some Z Palettes for me, the Z Palette newbie. Pretty Please.
Hi BeautyTalkers! Happy Valentine's Day!
I posted this message in another thread but I wanted to post it here as well so everyone could see it.
BeautyTalk is a wonderful place to talk about beauty, get advice from brands, Pros, Beauty Advisors and each other, and to obsess over products. I also think it's a great place to be silly and get a respite from our day to day lives.
This is why we created the Off-Topic thread; we hoped people would make friends, and if they did, then in theory they would want to talk about something else other than beauty! That being said, I can see how with the redesign of the site, all of the off-topic threads on the homepage may seem a little overwhelming to a person who is just browsing for beauty advice.
So taking some advice our community members, we've removed the off-topic thread from the BeautyTalk homepage, so that those threads no longer show up in the feed. Please be advised that they are still there! All you need to do to see them is click on "The Lounge" category, or even bookmark that link for direct access. This was done to ensure that BeautyTalk is fun and helpful for everyone, and that we can accommodate the office party AND the frat party (because we do love both).
Thank you guys so much for continuing to participate in BT and make it a great community.
Your friendly Community Manager,
Somesin's Wrong Luuucy.....I know this has happened to people before. I know it happens when a thread's been deleted but, I don't remember posting on any 'controversial' threads. I was so excited that I just made it over 3500 hearts today. What a drag. Why? Any way to find out why my hearts ran away and left me lonely? Geez Louise. Of all days to lose my hearts. Why'd ya have to run off and leave me high and dry on Valentine's Day of all days?
Another poster suggested a catogory of boards based on age groups. I really think this would be a great idea! I would love to be able to go to a 25 and under group and ask questions about what I should get my niece for Chrimas etc. I have actually done that at a Sephora. I had baby pink fingernail polish pick out for a 15 year old, the young lady I asked suggested a blue sparkle. Guess what, I ended up getting the blue and she loved it. I would also love to be able to ask an older group of woman about ageing products. Somene that is 18 will not have the same opinion on a wrinkle cream than a 50 year old woman may. I really think this would be usefull.
