I love seeing other peoples empties! So I decided to make a board where people could post pictures of their empties, or just tell us about them! I'd also be interested in knowing whether you're repurchasing anything or not.
Good morning my dolls! Today is my *Dun da da dun!* 14th BIRTHDAY! Many of you have known me since I was just twelve years old. There are many tender memories and sweet laughs that have happened here at BT, and always knowledge to be shared. I've made many good friends here and experienced sisterly love like none other. When I was obsessed with a boy earlier this year who turned out to be a lying, disgusting piece of crap Y'all were there for me. When I cut five inches of my hair off in my room one night then proudly posted a few pics, y'all were supportive and kind. Here's to us BT, We are family! Wild and love Skye <3
Not wanting to swatch lip products directly onto my lips, I found a paint chip that is close in color to my natural lip color to swatch onto. My bare lips have a lot of natural color. This hack works for me about 95% of the time. This is also good for determining coverage and pigmentation. Hope this is helpful.
I've balked at paying the prices for some beauty products, but a few have lasted me a year. I don't mind paying the price tag knowing I may get a year out of them. Some of my year long products are urban decay setting spray and primer potion, porefessional, mac setting powder (May soon have to toss?)mac select cover concealer.
Just completed month of daily use of the not extra strength peel. Do I have to wait a while before using another course or the extra strength version? The glow I get from this is totally addictive; I hate the thought of losing it.
Hi all ! I know that August is one of the best times to shop at Sephora because of the great perks, extra points and all those goodies. Has anybody heard anything about this yet? Any posters or in-store sightings? I'm so excited and we're one week away and I haven't heard anything yet! Ah !!! Doesn't 2x, 3x, or 4x (depending on membership) sound awesome? I really hope that Sephora hasn't forgotten...Hoping for bigger and better things this year, not to say that last years wasn't too shabby itself. Let's end this with a question: Q: What was your favorite perk/part/time of August Appreciation Month? My answer: I love the whole month, even though promos change weekly, I loved the VIB Bag w/samples and the 3x points, pretty sweet

Good morning my dolls! Gosh, the fact that it has been about three months since ive talked to y'all makes me so sad I will be on more often though so Yay!, Sadly many of my beauty sisters have moved onto another website which just my opinion, is not as fun as it is here. There are many new faces, and im excited to get to know y'all by talking about makeup, health, daily activities and whatever is on your minds! Just to introduce myself to those who I have not met, my user is londonlover101 (old username from 4 years ago) And my name is Skye <3 Anyway to get to the point of the other topic, my birthday is in three days, YAY!!!! Im going to go to the mall with one of my best friends and we are going to shop to our hearts content, although in case you dont know me I am one savvy gal. On the hunt for B-day freebies, good sales/bargains and other coupons. I have signed up for everything, literally EVERYTHING, and have found a few deals that peaked my interest Starbucks: Enjoy a free handcrafted beverage of your choice on your birthday with your starbucks reward card or mobile app. (Not yet found a way to print out the reward card, and the mobile app is out for me since my phone broke) Aveda: Okay my little sugarsnaps, when I stumbled across this offer I was freaking out (In a good way) I had just remembered that there was an Aveda in my mall (Thank gosh we live in Florida, we have the 5 or 10th biggest mall in the world, I think) So I just did a little research, not expecting to find much considering many other companies only offered lame 20% off coupons and " If you spend 50$ you receive two ounces of shampoo!" How exciting! Not. So On the Aveda Birthday program signup apparently when you sign up with your email, address, and birthday you are sent a postcard for a coupon for a customized pure-fume or shampoo. So far I believe you do not need to purchase anything to receive this offer. If I have to spend 25$ to get this, I will just give the coupon to someone else considering I don't even go in there often. But one little problem, I singed up only a few days ago and the postcard is supposed to be mailed 28 days within your birthday,so I will probably talk to a representative and ask for an email instead. Sephora: When signed up with the beauty insider program you are able to receive a free gift (already chosen, this year I really dont like it, the makeup for ever one) Within 28 days before or after your birthday which I really like. Ulta: Still need to figure this one out but ad far as I now its a full-size calvin klein one mascara (worth 18$) no purchase required. Journeys: Sign up for the birthday club (they also have a kids birthday club for the younger ones) and you will recieve a coupon for 15% off your next purchase. BUT you have to wait 6-8 weeks to recieve your birthday card, AGH!! (just signed up moments ago, when I found it) This is all I can find for now but I wil post updates, post your findings and I would love to hear about you too, lets get to know each other dolls! Wild and love, Skye <3
I have returned 3 items in the past 3 months without receipt. The amount totaled to 45 (at regular sephora) and 30 (at JCP sephora) so $75 total Do you guys know what the dollar limit on returns is? Does a return at JCP Sephora count towards returns in a regular Sephora? I just need to return two more items for which i do not have the receipt. Both were purchased before I got my BI account so there is no way for them to look it up.
hey dolls! I thought it would be fun to share our instagram's for those of who share beauty photo's and makeup pics a lot and who are okay with that, (if you are not or are not comfortable with sharing your username, its totally okay!) Non-beauty perks GGP Malls (general growth properties) have a program called 'The Club'. they send you an email or two a month. they give you a $10 gift card to spend at the mall. My local mall is Oak Brook, Il. I would think the other malls would do the same. http://www.ggp.com/properties/mall-directory Godiva Reward program gave me $10 gift card last year. One free piece of chocolate a month. World Market $10 gift card. Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants $15 gift card (you have to pay $25 to join their program, but its well worth it)
I made a purchase four days ago in a Sephora store and used my beauty insider card. My online account doesn't show the purchase in the purchase history & hasn't added any new points for what i bought. In the store they said i had only a certain amount of points added but i was confused because online i had more accumulated.
So when I went to the Sephora in my local JCP last week (or last last week?) I got a little card that said it was redeemable for 50 extra insider points on my next skincare purchase Next time any of you head on over to your SJCP, try asking them about it "RECEIVE 50 BONUS BEAUTY INSIDER POINTS WHEN YOU PURCHASE ANY SKINCARE ITEM FROM 2/27/14-3/20/14"
I went in to exchange a Bite Lip Tint for the new Bite Agave Lip Mask today. Simple, right? Wrong. Everything was going swell until I reached the cashier (if you can call her that). She didn't have any trouble with the exchange transaction, but short-changed me. When I let her know that she owes me money, she sort of huffed and went to call her Manager to open the cash drawer for her. Once she gave me my change, she pushed my item into my hand without asking if I even needed a bag, and I went on my merry way. I was on the subway when I decided to check out my new purchase. Lo and behold - it was my Lip Tint. You can guess which word went through my head. It starts with an F. I had to take the subway back to Sephora right away, because, lord knows, I didn't want them blaming me for any of this mess. I arrived back at checkout, get to the same cashier, and told her what happened. Her Manager comes over once more, and has the nerve to ask me why I didn't check that the item was the right one! Am I responsible for your badly trained employees that can't differentiate between two different boxes and can't do basic math? In the end, the manager grabbed me a new Agave Lip Mask, and my cashier girl rolled her eyes at me. What a wonderful day shopping at Sephora! I'm glad to be so valued as a Rouge member! Not going back anytime soon!
Have any of the beautiful ladies here on BT tried using drugstore cosmetics after solely using mid to high end stuff? I have never really dabbled in drugstore and keep saying I will but then never follow through. I have a mind to walkinto a drugstore and buy a bunch of goodies they have to offer and play around in drugstore for a week or two. I'm wondering what I'm missing or what I'm not missing. Is there anyone who could help me choose some items they like or who would like to post solely drugstore looks and review their experiences with them? I think it would be fun
I know makeup only has a certain amount of time before it goes bad, but it always seemed to be that more people said this rule rather than following it. I know lots of people who use eye shadows, blushes, bronzers, lip products, powders, and foundations that are 4+ years old even though it is advised to throw them out after a year or two. Mascara has a life span of 3-4 months, but I know people who use mascara that is a year old. Personally, I do not throw away my makeup. As bad as this may sound, I still use eye shadows and blushes/bronzers that are 3+ years old. And some of my lipsticks are even older than that.... The only rule that I somewhat follow would be the powder rule. But that's just because I use powder instead of foundation, so it is easy to go through those in a couple months. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone else uses makeup longer than they should. I don't like to waste my products which is why I hold onto them for so long.
Hi, I went to Sephora today and the Ottawa Bayshore location had the 1000 pt perk already. The SA said it should be available in all stores already. My first thought was that they look beautifully displayed in the box The SA was sweet enough to open a set as a tester for me since she said the colours are limited edition. The lipstick was a raspberry red/purple. It really depends on how much or how little you put on. I know that you should prep your lips before applying a dark colour but I didn't have time to do that when I tried it on so it started to bleed within 2 hrs. Maybe sooner, but that's when I first noticed. I'm used to YSL and Tom Ford lipsticks so I found the lipstick drying. For me, the colour was not flattering (I only tried the lipstick). I had swatched them both but forgot and washed my hands! I'll have to go back sometime this week and take pictures (I was too in a rush, sorry!) The gloss leaned brown, that's all I remember. I won't be spending my points on this perk as I didn't find this colour flattering on my tanned asian skinned. Also, for 1000pts, I was really hoping there was more than just a lipstick and lip gloss. The pic is after having it on for 3 hrs and eating a bit. Sorry the lighting isn't great in the pic!
Hey everyone! I'm a teenage guy and I love skincare. I'm starting to get into very natural looking makeup just to conceal and even out some redness. Im very excited to be part of this forum! I get very passionate about this stuff! I just love it. I want to work in the beauty industry after I graduate!
My Local Sephora is usually fantastic, never had a complaint about them... until today. I returned 5 products in-store today.. from 4 separate purchases I made during spring fling. 2 unused and unopened... and 3 products I really disliked. So the teller calls over the manager because it is a larger return, which I totally understand.. The manager looks at me and says.. You want to return all of these, you used them all.. and are returning them? Don't you know you can get samples so you don't waste so much product." and gives me an eye roll and a condescending look. So I tell her that 2 are unused and the other 3 products were all skin care and did not work for my skin.. I thought used products that didn't work were able to be returned.. Is this not the case? Or does everyone, get a lecture when they return a product used? Curious if you guys make returns of used products? I personally am really turned off getting samples from jars and such because people are constantly putting their dirty hands in to the product and them I am supposed to put that on my face. Just a gross thought for me. Am I wrong in returning used Skincare?
I am 29+ and looking for some age preveting thing.I have oliy/normal skin with occasional breakouts and big pores .My forehead is bit darker than rest of my face.I went to store and SA recommended this to me.I grabbed a sample but still has to try.I am looking for suggestion if someone tried it and how did they like it .Is there anything else you guys recommend ? http://www.sephora.com/retasphere-2-in-1-retinol-n ight-cream-P377369?skuId=1490341#askAndAnswerTab?
I was searching around and stumbled across this: Fresh Sugar Ruby Lip Treatment, which is listed as VIB Rouge, but not yet available. The color description states that it is a shimmery rouge tint, which I love! Sounds like everyone is defiantly getting geared up for Fall.
And Sephora! Got this in the mail yesterday. I was excited enough that he just answered my question during that chat, definitely wasn't expecting a gift! I'm super psyched tho, I already had a small jar I grabbed in a pick 5 at SiJCP, now I got a full size! Now I just need to like, you know, try it out!! So cool!!
I am hitting up my local Sephora tomorrow and was just wondering if you guys have some products that you have been loving, or something worth checking out or some new products I should try. If wondering, I have oily skin, So if you think some products are worth checking out, let me know
