1.) What is VIB Rouge?

VIB Rouge is our newest and most premium membership tier. When you spend $1,000 on merchandise purchases (excluding gift cards, egift certificates, taxes & shipping) on Sephora.com, in U.S. and Canadian Sephora stores and/or in Sephora inside jcpenney locations within one calendar year (January-December), you qualify for VIB Rouge status. VIB Rouge is good for the calendar year in which you qualify and the following calendar year. Annual re-qualification is required.

2.) When did VIB Rouge begin?

VIB Rouge launched on July 23, 2013. If you spent $1,000 in 2013 by July 23, 2013, you qualified for VIB Rouge status.

3.) What qualifies as spend towards VIB Rouge?

All merchandise purchases (excluding gift cards, egift certificates, taxes & shipping) on Sephora.com, in U.S. and Canadian Sephora stores and/or in Sephora inside jcpenney locations during one calendar year (January-December) count towards the $1,000 spend requirement. VIB Rouge is good for the calendar year in which you qualify and the following calendar year. Annual requalification is required.

4.) Do merchandise purchases made a Sephora inside jcpenney locations count towards the VIB Rouge spend requirement?

5.) Is VIB Rouge available in Canada?

6.) When does my VIB Rouge status expire?

VIB Rouge status is good for the calendar year in which the BI member qualifies and the following calendar year. Annual requalification is required.

7.) What benefits do I get as a VIB Rouge client?

As a VIB Rouge client, you receive the following benefits:

• All the great benefits BI & VIB clients receive

• Free Shipping on all orders

• Unlimited access to the Beauty Studio

• Special seasonal surprise gifts

8.) If I am VIB Rouge, do I still qualify for regular BI and VIB benefits? Yes. In addition to all the additional benefits you receive as a VIB Rouge member, you still receive all the benefits Beauty Insiders and VIBs receive.

9.) I have 1000 points, why don’t I qualify for VIB Rouge?

If you have accumulated points over the years and have 1,000 points in your Beauty Bank, you must still spend $1,000 on merchandise at Sephora.com, in a Sephora retail store or in a Sephora inside jcpenney store within a calendar year (January-December) to qualify for VIB Rouge. VIB Rouge is good for the calendar year in which you qualify and the following calendar year. Annual requalification is required.

10.) I haven’t received my VIB Rouge Welcome Kit.

Where can I get one? When making a purchase online at sephora.com you will be prompted to add a VIB Rouge Welcome Kit to your basket during the checkout process if you qualify for Rouge status. When making a purchase at a Sephora retail store or Sephora inside jcpenney store, your cashier will give you your VIB Rouge Welcome Kit if you qualify for Rouge status.

11.) Will I receive the same VIB Rouge Welcome Kit online as I would in store?

Because you do not need a Beauty Insider membership card to shop online at Sephora.com, the VIB Rouge Welcome Kit you receive online will not include a membership card, but it will include everything else the kit includes. The VIB Rouge Welcome Kit you receive in store will include a membership card.

12.) Will returning merchandise affect my VIB Rouge Status? If you have qualified for VIB Rouge, returning merchandise will NOT affect your current year’s VIB Rouge status. However, annual requalification is required.

13.) I have already signed up for 2-day Flash shipping, but as a VIB Rouge client I receive Free Standard Shipping. Will I be reimbursed?

As a VIB Rouge member, if you would like to be reimbursed for Flash shipping please call Customer Service at 855-RougeVIB.

14.) Are the “Special Surprise Gifts” VIB Rouge clients will receive going to be the same samples we receive today as VIB members?

The same great offers will be offered to our VIB members throughout the year; however, additional offers will be available to VIB Rouge members only.

15.) I see a "VIB Rouge" board in BeautyTalk, but I receive an error message when I try to access it. Why is that?

The VIB Rouge board is exclusively available for VIB Rouge members. When you reach the Rouge level you will be granted access to the board.

If you haven't been keeping track of your purchases on your own using a spreadsheet or something you'll just have to wait for it to update.  You could manually go through all your purchases and orders, but that might not be totally accurate since if you purchased items instore that were out of stock online, they don't always show up in purchase history.

And yes, $ spent to reach VIB and Rouge start over in January.

Thank you! I calculated it myself but wasn't exactly sure so I decided to sleep on it before purchasing anything. Luckily, it updated this morning :smileyhappy:

Hi!  I can't figure out how far away I am from VIB rouge... Where can I find this?

Re: VIB Rouge FAQs

This friday afternoon, i purchased over $200+ of makeup, when I checked online, I received my points..........but why does i still need 247 points toward VIB Rogue? I asked the sales person and they said i only need 40 points to become VIB Rogue. How long does it take the system to update my points. I'm planning to make a purchase online before the sales ends and also get my VIB Rogue KIT.

Is there any way to find out how far you are from getting VIB Rouge? Without having to manually add everything up? I heard rumours that you can get the info through our account...

Hi GirlAnya,

If you are close (around 200 left for Rouge) you should be able to see the amount during checkout under the Beauty Insider section of your account. I'll also send you a message with your spend.

@Sophiaaax3- It can take up to 2 weeks to see that your account has been upgraded to Rouge after the qualifying purchase has been made!

I think I have spent almost $1000 this year. I don't see some of my purchases in my purchase history. Is there something wrong with the tracking? I'm also wondering if I spent $1,000 Canadian dollars would it be different. I bought some things online and some in store and it seems that my points go up by the US dollar amount. Please advise.

Re: VIB Rouge FAQs

I have purchased like 500 usd things yesterday and it showed I became a VIB Rouge and the welcome kit was added. However, today when I signed in , the status is still VIB, not VIB Rouge.

And it says I need to spend another 400 dollars to get a VIB Rouge.

However, I'm sure I've spent more than 1000 in this calendar year.

Is it some system error or just it takes several days to udapte the status?

I just hit VIB Rouge today, but I redeem 500pts for a bosia set. So right now there is like 800pts for me this year. Does that mean after I redeem the pts and my current status is below 1000pts, it will bring me back to VIB??

Re: VIB Rouge FAQs

Rouge has nothing to do with points. If you've spent $1000 tthis year, you're rouge.

"VIB Rouge launched on July 23, 2013. If you spent $1,000 in 2013 by July 23, 2013, you qualified for VIB Rouge status." So if I spent $1000 within 2013 (Jan- December), do I still qualify for VIB Rouge?

Re: VIB Rouge FAQs

Yes, I believe so! You qualify for Rouge as long as you spend $1000 within a calendar year. So if you spend $1000 between Jan-Dec in 2013, you will be VIB Rouge until December 2014.

Re: VIB Rouge FAQs

If I receive Rouge status online and they don't send me the Rouge card with the welcome kit, can the store issue it for me if I go there (after reaching the status online?  Will my current card be valid? I'll be reaching Rouge status with my next online order, but would love to receive the red card as well.  Advice?

Re: VIB Rouge FAQs

Hi Ninjamommy, yes your current card is still valid.  You can pick up a Rouge card in your local Sephora store. A cast member can link your card to your account in-store or by calling 1-877-SEPHORA (1-877-737-4672). Rouge cards are not available by mail and are not needed for online purchases as your card is linked to your email address. When shopping at Sephora.com your registered email address is all that is needed to add to your Beauty Bank.  :smileyhappy: -Laura

Thanks, one more question.  It says that the 20% code can be used more than once.  Is that in store only or can I use the ONLINE code more than once?

Re: VIB Rouge FAQs

Hi ninjamommy,

The coupon can be used more than once for VIBs.

Whimsically yours,
Janine

It's so easy to spend $1000 at sephora. Some of you know exactly what I am talking about when you are just waiting for the newest palette to come out and buy it, and not because we necessarily need it, we love collecting fabulous makeup. I am looking forward to becoming VIB Rouge, I am pretty close already. I love showing off my "sephora love" with my iphone cases I redeemed with 250 points. The newest one with the womans face is gorgeous. I have all 3 so far. Keep making iphone cases to redeem and I will get every one of them, not to mention the new eyeshadow palettes that keep coming out. I have to have every Urban Decay one!

I really want the phone case with the woman's face, but sadly Sephora doesn't make cases for the Galaxy s4!
