I love seeing other peoples empties! So I decided to make a board where people could post pictures of their empties, or just tell us about them! I'd also be interested in knowing whether you're repurchasing anything or not.
Do you keep or get rid of palette boxes? I packed away all my boxes of palettes and pretty lipstick boxes. Not sure why, but I often wondered if I was the only one.
I save a lot of those things, although I know I probably shouldn't. I do find that storing certain items, like the UD palettes with the raised logo on the front, is easier if I keep them in the original box. Since they have the colors pictured on the back, I know which Vice palette has the color I'm after.
I generally only keep boxes that could be used to store other things. Since palette and lipstick boxes wouldn't necessarily be functional for storage, I usually recycle them as soon as I get them. I may keep some because I think they're cute (like the Bite mix n' mingles to hang on my Christmas tree!), but I'm pretty good with letting others go.
Re: Empties[ Edited ]
I know! It hurts my heart to get rid of the two emerald items. However, the box is from the eyeshadow, and I honestly don't need it (I did keep the ring box). Also, the bag is pretty small and I'm not likely to use it. I figure while it's still brand new, I might as well pass it along for someone else to enjoy.
I'm doing the same. I have a whole stack of empty cosmetics bags that I can't possibly use. I am trying to send them out in gifts and with trades. Other ones will be donated.
Loves - Clinique sunscreen, Skindinavia, Hourglass, Tatcha, Bliss, Chloe (This is the second bottle I've finished, love this stuff).
Likes - Bite wipes (repurchased)
Meh - Shiseido Ibuki moisturizer and toner, Guerlain Maxi Lash So Volume
Finally got a chance to take a picture of my empties from the past two months or so (June and July)
Bite Lip Wipes
Neutrogena makeup removing wipes in blue package (I get these when they appear in the Costco coupon book. They're a great deal that way and I only use these to remove excess makeup of for some reason my cleansing oil missed some.)
Living Proof PHD Shampoo, Conditioner, and Styling Treatment
Glamglow Youth Mud (this was the mask, not the cleanser)
FAB Ultra Repair Cream (my thirsty hands love this stuff)
Jack Black Lip Balm
Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser
Revlon Colorsilk conditioner (this is the conditioner that comes in the box of haircolor that I use once every few months to get rid of my white hairs. It's not new, I've had white hair since high school. I wish they sold this conditioner separately because it is the bomb dot com)
Benefit They're Real Remover
MUFE primer (I think it was the hydrating one, this packet came in my box of the Ultra HD foundation. I also swiped the foil from my mom's box too since she doesn't even know what primer is)
KVD face primer (Not sure about this one. I may get another sample next time I'm in the store)
MAC Prep + Prime (I got these 2 from the Nordstrom sample section. Quite generous samples but I hate MAC so I would never buy this and it didn't really work amazingly or anything)
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer
Great empties! I made the mistake of getting the costco brand makeup wipes thinking they would be comparable to Neutrogena. Hated them so much and took me forever to get through the giant box.
