Empties

I love seeing other peoples empties! So I decided to make a board where people could post pictures of their empties, or just tell us about them! I'd also be interested in knowing whether you're repurchasing anything or not.

Re: Empties

I've never heard of the brand Herborist before. Looks like it wouldn't be worth looking into anyway lol.

Re: Empties

I got the discover kit for $25,none of the products wowed me but the white mask wasn't to bad,I hated the black one though and they aren't sold separately.

Re: Empties

Re: Empties

I've wanted to try that Tree Hut Body Scrub for a while. I may finally give it a go (next time I need to buy scrub).

Love those OH wipes.

Do you use a moisturizer with the Nivea or does it work well enough for you to use it alone?

Re: Empties

the tea tree hut body scub is a good option for an allover exfoliator for a reasonable price and it lasts for a decent amount of time.

Love the OH wipes good in a pinch as a lazy girl hack if you wake up late and need to run use it and slap on some moisturizer and spray facial SPF over it and good to go.  & it smells lovely!  🙂

As for Nivea I am poor at moisturizing so i wouldn't be the best person to ask this question, also it might depend on how hydrated your skin is and what season of the year it might be, etc however I can supply some pros and cons.  the pros are this is a really great lazy girl hack that I love and  I don't have to slather on a bunch of lotion on awkwardly outside the shower. the only con is it it makes the bottom of the shower gunky and slightly slimy creating a slip factor if you are not careful. I think that the pros outweigh the cons though. as I probably wouldn't moisturize as much if I didn't use this stuff.

Re: Empties

Ack, I have the drybar triple sec in my lineup!  What was it's shortcoming?

Re: Empties

I gave it a harsh rating based on the fact that I have really oily roots and thin hair and it made my roots and thin hair's overall appearance worse instead of fluffing up the strands all over and getting rid of the oil at my roots both lay flat on the top of my head. the drybar dry shampoo is good so I expected the triple sec to be as well .but for me not so much. 😞 i really wanted to like it.

Re: Empties

Okay, thank you.  I think there may still be hope for it then as my hair is thick and dry.

Re: Empties

I love triple sec!  Not quite AS effective as Detox, but I think of it as a great 2nd, 3rd day dry shampoo, whereas Detox is my (don't judge) 4th day and beyond choice.  Curious too what you didn't like.

Re: Empties

I love that you clean out your candles. What do you plan to use them for?

Re: Empties

Omg so sorry I didn't see this before!  Well, I used the GWP size ones to put my eye brushes in and the bigger one I used for cotton buds.

Re: Empties

So many pretty empties. I love the cloth you're displaying them on.

Re: Empties

Thanks NC 🙂

Re: Empties

Is that sapin candle jar big enough to hold a beauty blender?  It's just too pretty to think of tossing!

Re: Empties

Yes it is!  I know. I actually don't ever toss any of these empty Diptyque holders.  I always end up storing little things in them.

Re: Empties

Do you just put them in freezer so you can pop the leftover wax out of the bottom?

Re: Empties

No.  I get some pliers out to remove the metal part holding the wick and then I just wash them like I wash dishes.

Re: Empties

Oh, ok, thanks!

Re: Empties

Sure!  There's no need to freeze them or anything.  Just wash them and the wax will come out.  Also, when the candle is almost gone I will light it one last time and pour out whatever wax will come out.  Then when it cools I will wash it.
