2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

Uh-oh! It has come to our attention that Reward Cards were mistakenly coded for deactivation at midnight eastern time instead of pacific time for all Beauty Insiders.  We have worked to fix this as quickly as possible by creating an additional window of time tomorrow (Thursday, December 15th) for any Beauty Insider, VIB or Rouge who haven't had a chance to redeem their Reward Card to do so – from 6am EST (3 am PST) until 11:59 pm EST (8:59 pm PST). As you're our valued clients, we sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. Should you have any issues or questions, please contact Sephora Client Service at 1-877-SEPHORA or via email at customerservice@sephora.com (customer service hours 8am - 12am EST/5am - 9pm PST)

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

I don't think so. I ended up with the wrong shade foundation during the 20% off, and I just wanted to exchange for a new color, and the only way they could process was to do an "Exchange without receipt" - even though I had the receipt and it had only been 2 days.

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

Thank you! Ill go in tomorrow and see what happens 🙂

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

If anyone has extra codes, please send them my way! I have an Ulta 20% off code for a $25 code!

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

Just wondering, when you guys call the 877 number listed above, are you guys getting a rep from overseas as well? I always thought Sephora call centers/customer service hotlines were domestic.

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

In the 5 or so times I've called this year, it's always been a pretty native english speaker but when I called last time it was overseas, possibly Africa.

It was HORRID. She was trying and ended up fixing my problem but it was a lot of misunderstanding and hassle.

I'd have to prod her every few seconds to get an answer

I'd give her my email and she got it wrong. I corrected her and then she wouldn't say anything. Asked her if it was correct and she said yup... and I just had to really prod the conversation along.

I get that Sephora wants to cut costs by outsourcing the call center but it's incredibly frustrating to deal with that... I had a cold and could've finished this in 3 minutes, instead it took me 15

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

I have noticed in the past year that I rarely have a native English speaking customer service rep. I used to get a few people, I even knew some of their names, they knew all the products and could give detailed suggestions on the rouge line and were super helpful.

Now I frequently get a non native English speaker-who are all definitely polite and willing to help but my impression is they know nothing about the products. I also find it hard to understand their English. And I find that they ask me to spell out words/email/address and such that could be a language issue.

Sometimes I get someone who sounds American but it's random.

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

I asked this a few days ago.  The ROUGE line sounds like Africa to me.  Next time I am going to ask them.  I always forget.

Other times you call sounds like USA.

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

I hope I am misreading/misunderstanding you 😞 I've been lucky; I've always received excellent customer service on the few occasions I've needed help, and regardless of where the representative may have been located I was always polite and expressed my gratitude for their help. That goes a long way towards receiving good service instead of allowing preconceived notions prejudice me and assume that the representative doesn't want to be helpful because of his/her location/place of origin.

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

@LCResz

Please stop the fake pearl clutching,  My ORIGINAL UNEDITED post doesn't mention anything about bad service or negative impressions.

I am just curious where I am calling and for good reason!

WTH, does this even mean??

'That goes a long way towards receiving good service instead of allowing preconceived notions prejudice me and assume that the representative doesn't want to be helpful because of his/her location/place of origin.'

Wow!!

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

@LCResz When I read the above comments, I am only reading an observation, not a broad judgement of the level of service based on perceived geographic location.

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

This!  It is only happened twice and all I say is that next time I will ask what country I am calling.  @lipstick4soul

Just curious!!! ;')

There is nothing wrong with being curious when someone has an accent.

People ask me 50 times a day where I am from!  I don't have a bad attitude about it. I am more than happy to talk to people about it.

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

I don't understand how the location of the call center is of any bearing; they could be America, Africa, anywhere, it seems rather antiquated to even care about such things, to me.

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

@LCResz

hahahah!  Natural curiosity about someone's accent is not antiquated!

IRL, I have never met anyone with this thinking.

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

LCResz - I am sorry, I am not reading the post/posts the same way.  It doesn't sound like judgement to me.  It doesn't even sound negative or rude to me at all.

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

I have no idea why it bugs me (maybe my insomnia is catching up with me) but unless the original comments have been edited, it appears to me that you are assuming  ill intent where perhaps there was none.

What if (edit): @weeeeweeeeeee comment was followed by "isn't globalization awesome? I'm glad people in my time zone don't have to work the night shift to deal with my issue about beauty products" or the (edit) @wheeeee comment were followed by "isn't that totally cool? Africa isn't a stereotypical place I think of for a call center outside US"

would these comments still still be perceived as antiquated and condemning bad service received because the caller was being rude?

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

I have an extra 20% ULTA code , will trade for $15 , $20 or $25 anddddddddd 2 smiley emoticon 🙂 🙂 lol !!

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

@Zebracakex Have you gotten your card that you are looking for yet? I don't need a 20% off but .... I made Rouge after the deadline and was sent when the emails went out a $20 card - I called customer service and placed my order to get the Rouge $25 off  and then a few days later they sent me an email stating we made a mistake and the email included the $25 card and pin - given that I just has to pay $1500 worth of medical bills for my daughter right here at Christmas I can't spend any more money right now. IF you still need a card I can PM you the number and Pin to see if it will work.

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

Omg I'm so sorry to hear that. Sending prayers and love for a speedy recovery. I have PM you @LWard930

Re: 2016 HOLIDAY REWARD CARD - BI, VIB & ROUGE

@Zebracakex I replied to your PM. Thanks she's fine. With competition cheerleading and all she got an infection in her hand that got out of control. THanks for your prayers - she is good - just MRI's aren't cheap lol
