Rotating Makeup Challenge: Work it Weekly
Whether you want to push your creativity or just utilize your collection, I hope you will join me in a rotating makeup challenge!   Each challenge lasts a full week so you can post any day that is best for you, or multiple times a week. New challenges start on Mondays. I wanted to put this up yesterday, but I had a final this morning...   The schedule is posted in the spoiler tag. PLEASE let me know of any ideas you have and I will add them to the list! ALSO if there is anything in my list that people do not want to do, then I will remove it.    Be as bold or subtle as you want! Make the challenge fit your daily needs. I am more of an idea-person, so I'm pretty sure some of these are going to be a struggle for me to actually do. But #whatever.    This week: All about the Mamas. THE FAVORITES : APRIL 2016
i dunno about you guys but this month has been a whirlwind. this month's favorites are a few new babies and a couple rediscovered old timers. surprisingly no skincare, as i'm keeping to what i know (and harp on about all the time) and it's working out grand.   STILA stay all day liquid lipstick, baci . got this, and all my other lipsticks have been neglected. i can't stop. flattering yet subversive nude -- just a hint of purply grey keeps it on the edge. NYX microw brow pencil in black . A PROPER BLACK PENCIL FOR US BLACK HAIR GIRLS !!!! thank the heavens. very similar to ANASTASIA brow wiz, but this formula i've noticed gives a slight sheen to the brow hairs, in a good way--looks more natural that way ! thank you  @MK89  for guiding me toward this little drugstore gem ! ETAT LIBRE D'ORANGE dangerous complicity EDP . the first time i got my nose on this i thought there was nothing dangerous about it. i didn't think it was particularly unique (i still don't, frankly) or exciting about it.  but this one is a slow burn. this perfume is kinda the TLC 'creep' of perfume. just creepin on the down low and then you realize you're intoxicated and in love. (i don't think that's the point of that song. whatever.). very much want to learn more about the chinese o smanthus flower now, too. i've found that boys like it (if you care about that). NARS liquid illuminator, copacabana . i bought this last year and fell in love, only to neglect it because i thought, maybe, it broke me out. turns out it doesn't break me out (we'll blame the amount of stress i was going through when i originally tried it). which is great for me because it's everything i want in a highlighter ! NARS single eyeshadow, lhasa . i've been on a cool tones kick this month (i'm still a bit baffled by this development) and the glorious lhasa has been by my side through the ride. if anyone wants a grey eyeshadow, this is what i'd recommend. a mid-toned grey with a hint of violet and brown that aren't so literal but give lhasa an enchanting depth. pairs beautifully with NARS blondie eyeshadow in the crease.

Nicole's Wishing for Spring 2016 TSB Feb-April... AArdvark
Spoiler (Highlight to read) I have way too much stuff, so I'm starting another TSB. I've participated in many and run two TSBs, all were great experiences and I got to know people better which was fun!     This also helps support my low buy, as I get all the fun of seeing the products find new homes and new stuff to try at the end when it gets back to me.  I know a homeless outreach/shelter that I usually donate at the end, I will think about what to do this time, I haven't decided yet! ROUND TWO (April):   Buggirl triestobeclassy laynebr JazaChai sdbeautyjunkie and Me (nicrohr)   The box has to be back to me by Friday May 6th at the absolute latest, but ideally a few days before that; I will probably have to post my trades after my trip unless it gets back to me sooner.   If there is time, we will add in (at the end):   AnneMCC Sprytely Kateye Valentine - username need to check (or these folks could be in Round 3 if we do one in summer)     LIST IS FULL!   Required spreadsheet for tracking items (update with your ins/outs):  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1m_6lreTep1 zbDJ05TmTsSAMSREfs1qHHyo9Uzod2c44/edit?usp=sharing     Review of "guidelines" for ease of reference Spoiler (Highlight to read) Also, take a minute to re-read the guidelines for the next round, always a good refresher.  Remember that if you ask and someone wants something it can go in, otherwise stick to the "rules", summarizing those here since they are scattered throughout our discussion:   1.  brand parity (please put in same level or better to keep the box nice! ask if questions, questions are ok!)   2.  we're just using retail value if something is lightly used up to like 5x which means no dip at all (however, if something is well loved maybe don't put it in the box unless someone wants it, just ask -- and if so it should be discounted)   3.  please make sure you fill out the spreadsheet correctly on your turn, it's taken me a lot of work throughout to keep going back to correct itn and there are still some errors - not a huge deal but still   4. turnaround in 48 hours/2 days or less since we're on a timeline   5. No nail polish or perfume, unless you specifically ask and someone wants it shortly after you (not sure how we got so far away from this guideline on the first round - maybe it was for things people asked for but didn't take not sure!)    6. This round, if there is room and you want to donate toiletries, you can put those in for the donation as long as they aren't huge/there is space.  Otherwise no large items/body care/etc. Also, take a minute to re-read the guidelines for the next round, always a good refresher. Thanks!   Here is the link to GPL's box from last year that was awesome, and if we run into questions or issues I will likely refer to this thread -- I will base this box largely off her process/rules.  (Notably, our box will not be new only, swatched and gently loved welcome.)   http://community.sephora.com/t5/VIB/NEW-Items-TSB/ m-p/1881761/highlight/true#M47650   and if you are new to TSBs especially, here are some general good practices (thanks again to these ladies for posting them):   http://community.sephora.com/t5/Makeup/TSB-Best-Pr actices-for-the-BT-Community/m-p/2001133/highlight ...   (Some of these I am not as picky on, I don't care if an item was tried 1x or 4x for example, but if it's well loved that should be noted (i.e. a dip, etc.). Your obsessions… things you can’t resist.
What is it that you can't resist buying? Makeup? Nail Polish? Skin Care? Maybe it’s a specific product like blush or lipstick, or even a specific color or brand.  What do you have plenty of yet keep buying? What are you obsessed with?   I can't resist coral or nude/beige lipsticks.  I also can't resist buying blue/green shadows... actually shadows in general are my weakness. MAC is definitely a weakness for me and now so is Viseart! I also have a weakness for silver jewelry.

What are your beauty pet peeves?   Here are a few of mine   When there's a huge hype around an item/brand or your own hype to get something and you get it and you are just meh.   I recently got a few items that were taking FOREVER to get to my house.  Canada Post was sooo slow at processing... the items were stuck with them and the tracking wasn't moving at all.  I was so excited and couldn't wait for them to be delivered and finally the items just showed up (tracking not updated) and I was like meh... not too impressed with what I got.  I thought I'd love it but no... not really. Swatched and sitting in a drawer somewhere... awww that just kills me lol   Another one (and this is for the Canadian girls). Any avid tea drinkers here?
We hear all the time about how antioxidants and drinking green tea is good for your body and your complexion. I'm curious, have anyone noticed a difference in your skin when drinking tea vs. drinking same amount of water?   Also, any tea connoisseur here? What type of tea do you like? Are you the modern type with electric kettle or do you like classic with the teapot? Do you like tea straight up? or do you add milk/sugar or drink it with desserts?   I definitely notice a difference in my skin when I consume a lot of dairy or sugary drinks vs. when I'm not, but I can't say I noticed a difference in complexion when drinking tea vs. water. It does help to soothe my stomache tho after greasy food or when I'm stressed. I usually go for Chinese green tea and floral tea. I used to buy a lot of Teavanna, but now I'm obsessed with David's Tea.

So I plan on going to Sephora during summer break and want a few items but the total came out way more than I expected.    lip glosses: Buxom's full on lip creams in dolly and mudslide   eyebrows: ABH brow powder duo in medium brown and benefit's brow gel in medium deep.and a brush that's $ 18.00   I really want to buy everything but it seems too expensive. Should I take some of these out of my list?

Show us your vanity/make up set up!
I searched around and saw storage but not many vanities.     I just got my vanity in today, I'm probably going to get a chest to store everything else, because these drawers are small! They also don't open all the way.  This is my set up for now.   Whats your set up like?

What are your beauty faves for Spring so far? :)
Hey gals,   Are there any (new/old fave) beauty products you've been loving this Spring? I find myself reaching for more drugstore makeup than usual (since I went over-budget during the last sale), and loving them too!   Here are some things I'm enjoying. It's a mix of oldies and some new found loves: - Nars Radiant TM (old love, still loving it) - Almay eyeshadow single in Peach Fuzz: such a pretty peach shade which I didn't have. My most worn eyeshadow for the past 2 weeks for sure. - Wet n Wild Proline Felt Tip Eyeliner: I just started my foray into eyeliner, and this little pen is making things relatively easy - Burts Bees Lip Shimmer in Rhubarb: such a pretty shade and so easy to wear. Has a very noticeable peppermint tingly sensation on application which I didn't know if I would love, but I do - L'occitane Verbena Eau de Toilette: my very first Loccitane fragrance, got a small size and am loving the fresh fragrance! perfect for spring! Also, I believe that it's one of their best-seller fragrances. - L'occitane Shea Hand Cream: oldie that my dry hands are craving at the mo.   - PTR De-spot Skin Brightening Corrector: I am in love with this serum, because of how it's helped with the hydration levels of my skin. First skincare product with niacinamide that I've tried and I must say that my skin really loves it. In terms of "de-spotting", results are very gradual, but I love it more for how it has improved my skin overall.   Let's hear your current faves!!

Random Beauty Facts About You !
i figured this could be the weird cousin the the random thoughts thread. list anything you want and come back and reveal more things as you think of them ! i think it's a charming if not abstract way to learn things about each other........   1. i've never in my life worn bronzer   2. in high school i often wore concealer on my lips because i was convinced any red pigment in my lips brought out the redness of my acne. this makes me sad for my teen self !    3. i never regularly wore blush until about 3 months after i found BT (and at that particular time i didn't even own a single blush).    4. growing up, my mother was super supportive of me wearing makeup (and shaving my legs) when i expressed interest in doing so, and looking back i'm very grateful for this. that said....she was not usually thrilled with my makeup choices (but now she comes to me for advice !)   5. my first perfume was GUCCI rush   6. circa 2011 i only owned 3 lipsticks: all from the since discontinued REVLON matte range; it was 2 shades of red and a wine/burgundy. i also used these as my eyeshadow or a hint of cheek color or even contour (if i dared). i sometimes wish i could still be this minimal.

The Cult of Peach Tag
Given the recent excitement over the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette, what are your favorite peach products?  🍑🍑🍑   Here are a few of mine: Spoiler (Highlight to read) 1.  Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette 2.  Gummy Peach Rings 3.  Peach Tea Snapple 4.  Demeter Peach Roll On Oil 5.  Demeter Fuzzy Navel 6.  OG Body Shop Fuzzy Peach - this is vintage - I've had it for 20 years (don't wear it, but keep it for sentimental reasons and it still smells great!)!  This is my all time favorite scent and I wish they would bring it back so bad (Vineyard Peach doesn't hold a candle to this) 7.  Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey - not quite peach, but this is the closest I've found to my beloved Fuzzy Peach 8.  BBW Pretty as a Peach lotion 9.  Tony Moly Peach Hand Cream 10.  Tony Moly Peach Lip Balm 11.
