I'm super curious about everyone's shopping habits here, so starting a thread. A friend and I got into a discussion of how many lipstick we own--each of us own over 100. Are we crazy? I've always loved collecting makeup... Feel free to post photos of your makeup collections as well! How many products do you estimate you have when it comes to makeup? Skincare? Haircare? What brands/types of products do you hoard the most of and why? How do you store all your products? What do you estimate that you spend at Sephora yearly? Monthly? What’s the most you’ve ever spent on one single Sephora shopping trip/haul, and what did you buy? I'll go first! - I have over 100 lipsticks, which is the bulk of what I hoard. I also collect eyeshadows (I own about 50, give or take). I don't have so much skincare or haircare, but have recently been buying all the Drunk Elephant products. - Lipsticks by Dior, because their the best in my opinion. I also have a ton of Lime Crime lipsticks that I buy when they have their really good sales. - I buy plastic makeup storage things from Amazon but I hate them. Anyone have any advice? I'd love to start using vintage trays or something but feel I have too many products. - Recently I've been spending a lot more and have qualified as VIB Rouge for the past two years. My mom and I share the same card and I think we spent about $1,500 over the past year together. This month, we went on a haul and spent close to $500 total, which was our biggest splurge ever, stocking up on spring and summer products.
For some reason, it's not letting me post this in the main Empties thread, so I'm posting it here. And since I had attempted a dozen times to post and don't want to type out everything again, feel free to ask about anything in the pic. Also, post your own empties.
My dad just got back from a business trip in France and obviously my mother and I made a list of France-exclusive products that we wanted to get. The only downside is that when my dad gave the SA our list (which was individual product page print outs from the Sephora FR website) she mistakenly gave him a Chanel Allure Deodorant instead of the Chanel Coco Mademoiselle deodorant. Which we obviously can no longer return. And of course my dad didn't think to double check the list because how hard can it be to read and look at the picture and give him the correct product? But he did get everything else on the list and I'm really happy with my Chanel Coco Mademoiselle France-exclusive products like the Hair Mist and the Body Mist. The body mist smells soooo nice!! And my mom is super happy with her YSL Rive Gauche and her Chanel stuff. And the amount of samples he came home with was insane!! He got 4 deluxe samples and they were huge!! And he also got 10+ perfume samples. All of this he got at checkout without even having to ask (and he didn't even know you could ask for samples). They even threw in a Guerlain laptop/ipad protective cover/bag (at least I think that's what it is). I was really really impressed that they gave him all those samples. When I spend the same amount of money here I have to practically beg them for a sample with my purchase (and I only get one) and in France they're giving them out like candy. Next time he goes back to France for business I will get my Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Deodorant.
Just called around to all the SiJCP and Sephora stores to try to find the MUFE Pro Finish powder for my sister. Everyone is out of stock, including online, of 110 Pink Porcelain. Is there a particular reason why? I know not all of us are that fair skinned.

What are the ways you maximize your spending and rewards for beauty purchases? Coupons, Promos, Rewards cards, Rewards Websites, rebates/ebates? I have used Mypoints.com for years and I recently discovered Swagbucks and Ebates.com. I also look for gwp, free samples, and promo codes. My favorite coupon sites are Brads Deals and Retail Me Not. I also try to use the Cartwheel app for Target when relevant. *sorry for the title error....wont let me edit it.
I always thought I did an okay job matching my foundation shades- weather in a drugstore or in a sephora. I would always swatch on my jawline and pick which one I thought matched the best. Last week, for the first time, I had the Color IQ done at a Sephora near me and holy crap I will never ever try to match my foundation on my own again. The Color IQ match really did make a huuuge difference. My face looked flawless after the right color and foundation was applied. Once my lovely tan fades (unfortunately) I will be back (albeit paler) to get my new color IQ!
I've been on a massive Dolce spree lately... I tried their lipsticks and lip glosses and I'm in love! I also did my normal Kat Von D hoarding as well this month with all the new lippies. So much so, that I haven't yet did my normal Nars round up. Is there a particular brand that you have been snatching up lately anytime you have a couple of bucks in your pocket? What is the brand and how much do you think you spent on your brand addiction? And what do you love about it?
This set has been goin in and out of stock for months in the sale section and I finally got it! Gee whiz, there's 2 left as of now if anyone is interested for $29. http://www.sephora.com/luxe-anti-bacterial-brush-set-P382003?skuId=1542208
Reading the Vogue Spain I found some information about a new skincare brand and their interesting products.
Apparently "SkinInc" or "Skinc" it's called in both ways, is a new japanese skincare brand, about three years old. The most important about this brand is what do they offer, and they offer a really attractive new skincare concept to solve the skin problems at the root. How? With a range of serums that contains pure active ingredients that you can mix and match according to your skin concerns and needs, and thus, have a total coverage of each problem.
REINFORCE Ceramide serum
Solves: Roughness, sensitive or sensitised skin, dryness, eczema
Contains 4 different types of ceramides to enforce the skin’s protective barrier. This prevents dehydration of the skin and protects it from external stimuli such as chemicals, air drying and UV rays. Also can be used to relieve the symptoms of eczema.
REBORN Collagen serum
Solves: Wrinkles, lines, aging and slack skin
Contains an optimal level of marine collagen and elastin that are rich in amino acids and penetrate the skin effectively. Collagen gives your skin structural support, smoothing out fine lines and keeping your complexion supple.
RENEW Coenzyme Q10 serum
Solves: Tired skin, aging skin
Coenzyme Q10 is a natural cell revitaliser – it activates the production of energy in cells, to renew cell functions. Nutrients in skincare products are absorbed more readily. This slows down the signs of aging, for more youthful skin.
REPLENISH Hyaluronic Acid serum
Solves: Dehydrated skin
Able to hold 6 litres of water per gram, Hyaluronic Acid binds moisture to skin for instant, lasting hydration from within. Lines are refined and skin is plump and smooth.
REGENERATE Vitamin A serum
Solves: Uneven skin tone; Tired, dull skin; Dark eyes circles
The lack of Vitamin A causes skin to become coarse and sluggish. Vitamin A keeps skin healthy by increasing cell metabolism and circulation, banishing dark circles, dryness and dullness.
REVITALISE Placenta serum
Solves: Pigmentation, freckles, dullness
Plant-based placenta restrains melanin production – the cause of skin pigmentation – and activates the growth of new skin cells to tackle dullness. Skin becomes clearer, brightened and more even-toned.
REPAIR Pycnogenol serum
Solves: Stressed skin, sun-damaged skin
Extracted from the bark of French coastal pine, this super anti-oxidant is 350 times more effective than Vitamin C and 170 times more powerful than Vitamin E. Combined with EGF, a protein found naturally in skin that increases DNA synthesis and cell growth. EGF moisturises the skin and reduces the signs of skin aging.
RELIEVE Licorice serum
Solves: Sensitive, inflamed and irritated skin; sunburnt skin
Licorice has an anti-inflammatory effect and calms sensitivity, roughness and skin irritation caused by allergies, inflamed pimples and sunburn. Now boosted with the anti-oxidant and antibacterial powers of catechins, a natural green tea extract.
REGULATE Vitamin C serum
Solves: Open pores, pimples and oily skin
Vitamin C is combined with Vitamin B6 and Vitamin E to control sebum production, preventing the outbreak of inflammatory pimples. Also stimulates the synthesis of collagen to minimise pores.
They also have the world's first skin supplement bar , where, instead of serving drinks, answering a few questions, they prepare "cosmetic cocktails", made to your skin needs by combining the serums that can help to your skin, and so, get "My Daily Dose" , the mix of all the serums according to your needs. Unfortunately, for now, these bars are only found in Asia and Spain. But luckily, they have a questionnaire in their website and anwsering the questions, they recommend us the serums that are made for help us with each of our troubles, and can also be purchased online.
Probably some of you already heard about this brand and its products, but i'm pretty sure most don't. All this is so interesting, and seems so miraculous, that I should tell this.
I haven't tried this serums because I've read about this yesterday, and also I can't buy online from my country, but I asked my aunt in England that she buy them for me and send me. So, in a few months i'll tell us my experience, but would be also great if you try them if you want, and tell us what happened.
I hope you have found this interesting.
