What's your biggest beauty regret?

We all have at least one! Something that we thought looked great at the time, that now haunts our memories...or even worse...is immortalized in photos.

I feel like my "worst" beauty years were in middle school , when I was still learning about makeup. Three words words, metallic blue eyeshadow. I wore it every day in 7th grade...as did every other girl at my school...it was really bad. Frosted lipglosses was another big one.

Luckily I stopped all that once I got to high school, and by the time Sophmore year came around I pretty much had my makeup act together . Unfortunately I'd fallen into the habit of over plucking my brows, I'm so lucky they continued growing back. Long acrylic nails was a big trend during high school that I regret, they always left my natural nails so frail and brittle.

Man, do I know what you mean! When I was in third and fourth grade, I picked off my eyebrows, not for beauty, but because I always got eyelashes and crud in my eye and I decided OFF WITH THE HAIR! I thought I was getting rid of"loose" ones to prevent them from entering my eyes, but later I found out eyebrows and lashes stop things getting in your eyes. OOPS!

Oh ho, a slight variation on overplucked brow that I forgot (or made myself forgot).

I always had bushy eyebrows. They aren't unruly, but definitely thicker than everyone elses, so after a couple of my friends remarked how my brow is the thickest they've ever seen, I decided to make it thinner. Except plucking obviously hurt, so the obvious solution is taking my dad's razor and shave part of it off, except razor for beard are too big for eyebrows of a 4th grader, so I ended up shaving all of my eyebrows off.

Yep, I shaved my eyebrows in 4th grade and had these white/grey-ish skin (you know, the same color as your scalp) with eyebrow stubbles. After that, I sworn I will never succumb to peer pressure. ever.

Hi!

What a great post. My biggest regret was not taking care of my skin enough.  I live near a beach and would not apply sunscreen. I know better now. It has taken me a couple of years to get my skin back on track. I think that is my biggest regret...being in the sun too much!

I think my biggest beauty regret was overdoing with the makeup. Probably about 4 or 5 years ago, I was in my makeup craze and still discovering how to use makeup and I was ifatuated with it and how it dramatically changed how you looked. I still am addicted but in a different way.  I would use so much foundation and cake it on. My grilfriends and I would go out to bars and clubs all the time and I didn't realize how much eyemakeup/foundation I was using until one day, I realized that it wasn't right to me and I hate how much I was using.  Now I go for the natural look with less eyeliner, less foundation and a more natural dewy finish with foudation that actually matches my skintone lol.   

Needless to say, good learning experience. took awhile but I got it !

Forgetting sunscreen on my Florida vacation last week. I thought I would get a nice bronze glow. Now, I am red and peeling.

Aghhh, this is a great post! I have a few regrets..

1. My chola lipstick look: Frosty white lips or pink lips with dark brown EYELINER as lipliner.. only lining my lips. WHY??

2. A hideous tattoo I got when I was about 19. I covered it up and its AMAZING now and one of my favorites but still...

3. Overplucked brows and glitter gel on my lids. Enough said.

Oh my goodness! It's like you read my mind, haha.

1. Yes, I tragically remember being just infatuated with pink or brown lipstick with dark- DARK eyeliner on the lips. 

2. Trying to learn to even out my eyebrows was a NIGHTMARE! I'd start on one... pluck the other... see that the other was uneven.. rinse, lather, repeat until they were just skinny little twigs. I'm convinced that they still grow in goofy, to this day!

3. The "pixie dust" from Hot Topic was my glitter of choice. I used to line my entire eye with GLOBS of it... scary to think that i let loose glitter flecks so close to the inside of my eye. Guess I'm lucky I am not blind!

I have two.

1. Picking at my skin/not taking good care of it. Now I have scars. Fortunately, I have a dermatology appointment next week.

2. TATTOO. I've had 11 laser removal sessions so far and will probably need 8-10 more. (Coincidentally, I also have an appointment for this next week)
