How are you liking liquid foundation type products over powders?  I never used a liquid foundation/TM until I discovered Sephora, and now I don't think I want to go back to powders (exception of finishing powder, blush, etc) lol.

I think this is addressed to me....if not, I'll answer anyway.I've only worn my liquid foundation for a couple of days. I didnt know it when I bought this but its a discontinued product so even if I end up LOVING it, I cant rebuy it. (I got it as cosmetic company outlet for 20 bucks, orginal price was 28). The lightest shade they had was 02 light and its a shade too dark for me but not to the point where it noticable by anyone but me. My face is a lot lighter than the rest of my body because I wear sunscreen there everyday. Foundation is easy for me to match in winter because  I am usually the lightest color they make. *So far* I like the coverage, it doesnt smell or irritate my sensitive skin, no breakouts so far, a little goes a long way (I apply with Real Techniques stippling brush or the expert face brush, these brushes are awesome and really *buff* the product into skin and make makeup look like its *your* skin vs having a mask on. I wear a setting powder over it (I've been using my MUFE HD lately) so that it doesnt cake up/rub off and so that the rest of my makeup (blush, luminizer etc) goes on better. Its harder to remove liquid makeup at night, I find myself having to wash my face twice, or use a face wipe, then wash my face. So far I really like it but my Lancome Dual Finish Powder is still my holy grail foundation (speaking of which....I need a new compact!). I want to try NARS Sheer Glow and the Benefit and Dior liquid foundations. And the Tarte TM. I havent been using my NARS TM because I dont have any whitening sunscreen to mix it with. All locations around me that carry the Neutrogena Pure and Free Liquid Sunblock SPF 50 are carrying expires ones (12/12) so I'm waiting until *someone* orders a new batch!

It was addressed to you.  I guess the forum still has some hidden bugs somewhere.  The Benefit Oxygen Wow foundation looks very interesting, but I'm not sure if it's sheer/light coverage or heavier.  A lot of foundations I look at end up being heavier coverage.

fran----What are the MAC paint pots like? Do they crease? Are they primers or cream shadows? I love cream shadows (fave makeup product!!) but havent had the best experience with the MAC ones. I only have one mac cream shadow (big bounce, sizzlin diva) and it goes on cold/wet and hardens/creases seconds after applying.

@sephoramusthave-They are like  mega shawdows. Their awesome they stay on thru heat, cold, and just about anything else.They are some of the best shawdows to layer on they just don't move. Their awesome

I only have 1 paint pot and really like it a lot. To me, the paint pots are almost more heavy duty than a cream shadow, if that makes sense. I think the powdrr shadows I layer on top look so much better and wear so much longer than when I use other cream products. I know the paint pots are designed to be a primer and they do work well for a lot of people on their own. but my lids get very oily during the day and ANYTHING will crease if I dont use a good traditional primer first!  I recommend giving them a shot if you like cream bases. I plan on getting more colors soon!

OMG those big bounce shadows were terrible! I just tossed one the other day when I was reorganizing! I dont know what was worse, the texture or the way it looked!

Thanks fran!!! I think I might need to get some paint pots then!! I still have to buy the Estee Lauder cream shadows (they also came out with some new ones recently). Right now the bigger pots are their original cream shadows and the small pots are their new ones. I really want those! I like cream/champagne colors the best when it comes to cream shadow because I can use them everyday, with every look and I can use them lashline to brownbone, as primer/base, or as highlight on brownbone and inner corners of eyes.

I have never tried the estee lauder cream shadows. I may have to give them a try. I used to stay away from all creams because they would crease on me. Now I am loving them since they work well with primers! Let me know how you make out with the paint pots if you do get some! :-)
