Mom and I are going to be out doing a bit of shopping and picking up what's left at the off campus apartment.  The complex looks abandoned since summer is here lol.  Besides that, the new rules and rent are making people move, too.  Anyway, here's what I'm wearing today:

Was working in my yard for as long as I could before I got overheated and dehydrated and had to go inside (ah, central a/c is a GREAT thing, overhead fans WITH central a/c are even better when pregnant).  Managed to pull quite a few weeds outside that looked like mutant weeds (some were seriously HUGE, it was like it was never weeded a month ago!)  However, I was smart.  I made sure I had sunscreen on!

Was REALLY warm and muggy here today in Washington.  A beach day trip sounds like a wonderful idea later this week now, since the weather is supposed to still be warm and sunny all week.  I'm going to try to work in my yard again tomorrow (backyard looks worse than the front did, and our yard is pretty nice normally) so I'll be sure to be covering up in sunblock and reapplying often.

Today I wore a full face of Vera Vang makeup from Kohls...and I dont like any of it. >_<

1. Simply Vera Vang Volume Enhancing Mascara (too clumpy, $18.50)

2. Vera Wang Transforming Shadow Duo in 403 and 404 (pigmented enough...but very cheap quality...not smooth, silky, buttery...$19.50)

3. Vera Wang Illuminating Powder Blush in 314(pigmented enough but the powder is such cheap quality, $19.50)

4. Vera Wang Smoothing Lipcolor in 709 (good pigment, but dont like taste/smell,$18.50)

5.Vera Wang Smooth Shine Lipgloss in 802 (sheer, sticky, awful bitter taste,$18.50)

6.Vera Wang Illuminating Pressed Powder in 301(this is the lightest shade they have, and it was a super dark orange on me, zero coverage, hated the cheap powder on me, $32.50)

7. Vera Wang Soothing Balm(honey colored thick oil, tested on hand, never absorbs, looks oily/shiny/thick, $18.50)

And out of ALL of this that I tried...I didnt like *anything*. The quality is very disappointing, I would have better luck at the drugstore these days, and the prices!!!! With these prices, I can shop at Sephora and get items that I know I love and will use.

Big thumbs down for the entire line.

Decided to further test a cream formula shadow from Shu Uemura.  To be honest, it's not very good as a primer for the lids but works better using it with eye primer and gives a lovely shimmery effect.  The darker color (the purple) I bought was a bit of a disappointment (was expecting more of the blueish tone and ease of use)  but the lighter ones were nice.  Anyway, here's today's look:
