Happy Sunday everyone!  Today I'm testing the Cover FX Total Cover Cream foundation. I heard a lot of good things about it so I hope it works for me. So far it's holding up. My highlight is Flormar Cosmetics (it's an Italian brand)  baked terracotta powder in Rose Gold which is a dupe for MAC Gold Deposit but at half the price. Lips are Jeffree Star Redrum.  🙂

Nothing too bold for the 4th; I was thinking about doing white & blue eyeshadow and red lips but that idea scared me, lol. Instead I wore a sparkly nude eyeshadow, some highlighting/contouring, and a bright red lip.

Happy 4th!! I forgot I was going to go for a red/blue theme...oh well haha. Instead I went a little intense today with purples (BB and LM shadow sticks) and Tom Ford  Black Dahlia lipstick. I keep wanting to like Black Dahlia because of the price point, but the formula isn't that great. I love the color though *sigh*

You look lovely MK!  I have Black Dahlia too.  The formula (for being a matte) is okay, but I am not crazy about mattes in general.  In fact, of all the TF mattes, Velvet Violet is the best...it is perfect!  I bought Black Dahlia for the iconic value.  It is beautiful too.  When I do wear it, I plan to wear it for events of not more than 4-5 hrs long.  So the lipsticks feels just fine.

Thanks GC! I pretty much got it for the same reason. I like having it, but it settles into my liplines and fades unevenly even with a lipliner 😞

You and BK have gotten me interested in Velvet Violet...it looks so beautiful!

DH and I spent a day at home recovering from our 17km trek through the mountains yesterday... but I wanted to spend some time at the mall so I slapped on some very simple makeup. I look fairly tired in my photo because we also spent all day cleaning our house 😞

I'm wearing Lise Watier Rouge Sublime in "Gala" on lips, over coral lip liner (also from Lise Watier). I'm going to post more about this lipstick over in Lipstick Playground...

also, you can't see them but I got TWO mosquito bites on the side of my face on our hike. TWO!! They are so itchy...
