well thank ya gpl--but full disclosure -- i didn't do the makeup. i just told the makeup artists what to do !! but it was a fun project for sure.

Something about it is giving me a Bela Lugosi vibe (in a good way)

yeah. basically i had them do black sculpted brows and matte black lips, and a grey-beige contour. i wanted it to look like they had been desaturated 75%. on some of the girls i put a dab of vaseline on the lids and top of cheekbones, and the pink liner (you helped me find!) on the waterline. i was happy to see it come to life.

I love it; the juxtaposition of the wild hair with the very precise makeup is so striking.

You should mix some Gwenhwyfar! I love mixing my own colors

I do mix my own colors, but I have never been able to reach that intense saturation with my preferred acrylics. Might really be time to switch to oil paints. 😉
