Spring Products You're Looking Forward To

The Holidays are over and many beauty companies have been advertising their spring collections.  Some have already released them.  What are some things you are wanting to check out or know that you will get at some point?

I've tried a couple of NARS products and have been impressed, but this has definitely caught my eye!  I love pinks!!  However, compared to UD, the deal isn't as good.  Three shadows for $45? (or something like that)  I'd at least like to see what it looks like in person, but UD offers such better deals.  *sigh*

The new liquid lipstick by Kat Von D really interests me, especially the Warm Rose color.  I already love her lipsticks, so I hope these are just as good.

I love China Glaze polish, so I'm pretty sure I'll pick up a couple of their new Spring polishes.  I haven't bought any new polish in 2012 so far lol.

Those nail polishes are so bright and pretty. I am excited to wear brighter make up and I also can't wait to bring out my coral lipsticks . I really like the new Make Up Forever spring collection. I also can't wait to use my self tanner to fake a good tan too!

Sephora Collection Tinted Self-Tanning Body Mist (I go through cans of this during the spring and summer)! It's cheaper than going to a salon for a spray tan.

I will add another -- I can't wait to take advantage of Edward Bess at Sephora -- particularly the Deep Shine Lip Gloss and the Ultra Slick Lipstick. (If you read about Edward Bess, too, his story is really interesting -- I can't believe he is so young!)

I am also looking forward to Illamasqua's Skin Base foundation. I love Illamasqua's shade range, and I have heard great things about the Skin Base in particular.

I'm on a no buy for a *really long time* but I'm very interested in the Dior Spring 2012 Garden Party Collection! AND I really want the Benefit Hervana, Sugarbomb and Dandelion blushes!!

@sephoramusthave  The Dior palettes are stunning!  I'd love to see them in person, but the Belk at the mall doesn't carry Dior cosmetics.  I browsed through earlier this week and didn't see them.  I was in a bit of a hurry, so maybe there's a slight chance I didn't notice it lol.

i just FREAKED out that sephora is now carrying Edward Bess! OMG SO EXCITED! 

i've been wanting to try their products (especially after great blog reviews) and never got around to it... (snooty cosmetics ladies at neiman's and bergdorfs are annoying, and sephora is much easier to get to!!) 

Are you guys excited too? or is it just me lol

I never heard of Edward Bess and all of their products on Sephora are "online only" and I cant buy makeup without trying it on first. Bummer. But I'm good. I'm working on making a good dent in the products I already have before buying anything else.

@Kimmi and Katie, here is the famed green gloss. I'm sure it's going to be a VERY sheer wash of color and nothing too intense or bright. I worked for Lancome quite a few years they like the edginess without being TOO over the top

I too am also excited for the Edward Bess Collection! I'm super tempted to purchase a few items just to check out the quality etc since we don't have any testers here in our office and it won't be in stores....

Came across a few new items while browsing around.  These may not be labeled as spring collections but the colors are spring like. 

Sephora by OPI Bohemian Brights Mini Nail Colour Set:

And since this post seems very Bohemian themed, why not finish it off with the Josie Maran Moroccan Scented Oil Trio.  Rose, Lavender, and Grapefruit. 

I have not tried anything from Edward Bess but hope to see reviews of the product(s) soon.  Black Sea Deep Hydration Creme looks interesting. 

But since i'm trying really hard to be on a no buy, I will have to admire for now.

@dianabt  The shade of green is pretty!  Thanks for posting it.  One of the Belks around here does carry Lancome.  I may have to stop by just to see the lipgloss lol.

Oh no, another line of makeup to try!!! When I am done no-buy, I'm going to have quite a shopping list. But I think I better stick to it for awhile, my beauty closet is stuffed and I am saving for a vacation. I haven't been anywhere in a year (other than work trips, which are just hectic and no fun) so I am looking forward to some time off. Go horse riding as an excursion and let someone else have to clean up and take care of the horse, haha.

I had no idea that Edward Bess was coming to Sephora! I haven't tried too much of the line other than the South of France highlighting quad I have (which I love) -- but those glosses look really pretty, and I might have to check them out.

I *really* want Lhasa, too -- the swatches that have been posted on places like Café Makeup and Temptalia (both of which I should avoid like the plague) have made me really want it. I didn't order it with Gaiety, though, because I'm drowning in neutral taupe-y shades

I'm definitely looking forward to the UD Naked 2 Palette and will probably consider changing my foundation from the Prescriptives Virtual Skin foundation I am currently using.  I will definitely be looking forward to purchasing the Estee Lauder Pleasures fragrance, which is very pretty and feminine.

GREAT THREAD!

I'm most excited for NARS tinted moisturizer, I hope there's a shade that matches me! Urban Decay Naked collection expanding is always a great thing too, and I want to buy just about everything The Chanel spring line is also amazing ... I have a problem with wanting to buy everything haha!

I now have Gaiety in my hands! It looks like a neon pink, but it's definitely sheerer and more wearable than most NARS blushes are (i.e., requiring a careful application with a stippling brush and a super light hand). I love it (surprise).

@kimmi: I do have quite a few NARS shadows, but nothing pink. I like some better than others -- my favorite is probably Charade, but I really like Kalahari, too...and Brousse (which is difficult to work with).

I also want to try the green lipgloss...and there's a bright orange one (that applies sheerly) that I want to try, too.

@katie1724  The Kalahari duo is gorgeous!  I hope the nearby Sephora in JCP will get the new trio so I can examine it lol.  They have most of the NARS products, surprisingly, except for a few duos.  I wanted to see Hula Hula in person a while back, but they didn't have it.  I'll just have to keep an eye out.  I saw the pic of Gaiety on the NARS Fb page and it's a beautiful shade.  Good to know it's not actually super neon!

@kimmi: If your JCP carries most of the NARS products, I would think they'll get this, since it's part of a seasonal collection. While I have noticed that Sephora does not carry certain NARS items (certain shades of blush, eyeshadow, etc.), I think any seasonal collection will make an appearance.

Re: Gaiety, it only looks neon -- it's definitely less pigmented than Desire, and much cooler-toned -- it almost seems to have a hint of violet in it.

I really want Benefit's Dandelion Boxed blush, it's such a pretty shade of pink! And I am obsessed with the Stila "In the Garden" Eye Shadow palette. (: Oh and also Fresh Sugar Passion Tinted Lip Treatment!
