Show us your vanity/make up set up!

I searched around and saw storage but not many vanities.

I just got my vanity in today, I'm probably going to get a chest to store everything else, because these drawers are small! They also don't open all the way.  This is my set up for now.

Whats your set up like?

Re: Show us your vanity/make up set up!

I don't think I have posted mine yet!

The desk I got from Walmart for $50, The small acrylic drawers from The Container Store for $17 each, Mirror from Ulta for $50 and the large drawers besides the vanity was like $65 ish? From Office Depot. Then the black tray in my desk drawer was only $2 at Target.

Yes! I had this picture for over a year and just put it up a couple months ago! I love Ikea so cheap and looks higher endish! :smileyhappy:

ahhh that chair is gorgeous

Re: Show us your vanity/make up set up!

Oh and my chair is from TJ Max got it for $99 from an old Cynthia Rowley collection. I basically got it for just the taxes because I won a $100 gift card at work!

Re: Show us your vanity/make up set up!

Loveee the chair!  Beautiful set up!  I spot glamglow :smileywink:

Thanks! Glam Glow is my favorite!

Re: Show us your vanity/make up set up!

Great price on the chair!!!!!  It looks similar (studded) to mine and I paid around $200 for it at Moes. I wouldn't have ever paid that much but I had to match my chair to my tickle trunk,

Oh and I love yours by the way! I wanted to get one similar to that style but I have so much stuff if need two!! 😳

Re: Show us your vanity/make up set up!

Thanks! The one I originally wanted had more drawers, but my Husband calculated that it had less surface area or something.  I'm going to get the trunk thing that heartsmyface showed me for my overflow!

Re: Show us your vanity/make up set up!

image.jpgMy vanity is an old desk that we bought for $25. It was originally white, and still is in some places lol :smileyhappy: I hope to have time to finish the remaining drawers next week. I'm not sure if you are interested in seeing closup pics and pics of what's inside but here's the overall shot and if y'all would like to see more just let me know! I love seeing everyone's setup and makeup collections!

Re: Show us your vanity/make up set up!

Here are close ups of most of my collection, I have a few pics that I need to resize because they won't upload. The drawer that looks a disaster is all of my samples and deluxe size products that I haven't opened yet, I'm planning on starting to work through them this week.image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Very nice! I like the couple of owl accents you have displayed. Where did you find the owl jar? I'm obsessed with owls. Haha.

I actually found it at Walgreens a few months ago and debated getting a few more but didn't at the time. When I went back for more they only had one and it was cracked all the way across the front, I was so mad at myself For not getting more the first time!

Where did you get the shelf for your nail polish?  I love it.  The color matches the furniture in my room.  I think it could hold all of my polish if I got two or if it had an option to add a couple more rows.

Re: Show us your vanity/make up set up!

I made them myself and painted them with a high gloss black paint to match my vanity, dresser, and bed set. It was pretty simple, the one thing I chose to do that most other racks don't have it put a thin board on the back because I wanted it a solid color rather than seeing the wall behind each shelf.  My husband couldn't believe how much polish I had, he said if I buy a new one I have to get rid of one which isn't a problem because I have plenty that I don't care for that I wouldn't be sad to see go!

Re: Show us your vanity/make up set up!

I have 2 nearly identical and my brother in law made mine and then I painted it black. He said it was really easy!Screen Shot 2014-05-10 at 1.15.57 AM.png

Re: Show us your vanity/make up set up!

That's exactly what we did as well! we are the "crafty" type as my friends like to call it and prefer to build what we can ourselves. A few years ago we were looking for a head and foot board for our king size bed and couldn't find anything reasonably priced that was made with actual wood so we built our own. It's good having the ability to do that or knowing someone that can, it can save you a lot of money and you can actually get a quality build piece.
