Recent makeup/clothing steals

[ Edited ]

So I recently started a thread for the most expensive makeup item or clothing piece that you have purchased and it made me think of all the stuff that should have been expensive but was actually super cheap. Post your beauty and clothing steals, and if possible how you got them.

Mine for beauty are: My Clarisonic Mia(price=free). This was "purchased" from one of the casinos in Las Vegas because my grandparents had a ton of rewards points there and one of the things you could get if you used them was a Clarisonic! They also had a Philosophy Amazing Grace set with 5 full sized items in it that my mom got(also free). The other recent beauty steal was a ton of NYX makeup(30 products for 43$) and 3 Custom Color makeup for at least 60% off. I got these from the best flash sale site ever- Hautelook! For fragrance, I went to Marshalls 2 weeks ago and got a 1.7oz Viva La Juicy perfume(25$) and a Kate Spade twirl set with 1oz perfume,3.4oz shower gel and 3.4oz lotion(30$).

Actually, my first clothing steal came from Hautelook too. I got a 300$ Juicy Couture messenger bag for around 50 bucks! I use it all the time for school so I totally got my money's worth. I get great deals from outlets too, like designer purses/shoes/clothing for at least 50% off. I got my mom a 550$ coach tote bag for her birthday and I only paid 80 dollars at my Coach outlet. Can't wait to hear all of you guys' recent steals and deals!

P.S. Let me know if there are any other good flash sale sites-I'm already on Hautelook and RueLaLa:smileyhappy:

I use to really be into the sample sale websites, but now I pretty much only use PLNDR, which is the sister site to Karmaloop. I've gotten a number of really cute things for amazing prices. My favorite purchase from them is a Betsey Johnson bag. It was originally $80, and I got it for just $27! It's my little go to bag for running errands and evenings out.

I recently became obsessed with Lulu's, an online clothing website that sells a ton of really cute things. I must have over 100 things on my little wishlist with them. I got this dress from them for $25 also, but in hot pink. It's insanely loud but seems really appropriate for summer and can easily be dressed up or down with the right shoes :smileyhappy:.

Believe it or not eBay is also another really great resource for deals, there are a ton of sellers that specialize in auctioning off different brand new designer products and what not that are available for a fraction of their original price.

Hi everybody!

I usually don't care too much for name brands and stuff.  I've gotten some really cute clothes from Body Central online.  When they have their sales, the clothes are like $9, and the dresses are cute and normally cost less than $30 to begin with.  I had gotten a maxi dress from them for $15.  When I was in Marshalls as well I had gotten a pair of Paul Frank sunglasses for $20.  I also got a Gucci wallet for free!  My mom gave it to  me...but it was an older style clutch looking wallet but it was roomy and I liked it.  I also got a pair of Marc Jacobs sunglasses for free at my job.  Someone didn't want them and asked if I wanted them, I was like sure.  I always get awesome deals at libraries and thrift stores.  Their books cost a dollar or less and they're books I've been wanting for a while.  I recently bought a hard cover book for $1 by James Patterson.

That's all I can really rremember right now but always looking for more in Marshalls lol.

ahh, I'm extremely picky about the quality and style of the clothing. The quality of designer clothe are sometimes not worth the price, and for the styles I liked, they are usually $1000+. I tell myself it's fate. I don't have that much money, so if I happens upon it and I'm still crazy about it a month later, I get it. My favorite have to be this wool cape from Jones New York's Milan collection. Original price was ~$160 and black friday price was like $50. Since it was not practical, albeit very very chic, I was putting it on and off, walking around the store, then putting it on and off, again and again. It was like 3am and the store clerk liked it on me, so she used the employee's discount so I got it for $30. A chic 100% wool cape originally $160 sold for $30. =D

As for things I definitely get my money's worth out of, there's the knee length white trench coat, 100% wool, in Target I got for $17 (I don't have to worry about getting it dirty, ruining it, or leaving it in places since it's so cheap and I can just bleach it cuz it's white) and Ariat Fatbaby cowboy boots in pink camofloudge pattern, all leather/suede and steel toed for $50 (it goes for $100 but because it matches nothing, I can weat it with everything! It makes even the blah-est outfit pop, like red lipstick with blah make up, so before I realized it, I wore it for 6 month straight every year for 4 years. Wash it with leather cleaner and it's good as new, except SUPER soft and comfortable!!! Now I finally understood why people like leather shoes).

Ocassionally I'll find some great stuff on Gilt (this is higher end brands) or Beyond the Rack (mid to lower end brands). If your looking for Ella Moss, Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade etc. go to Gilt, if your looking for nice kitchenware, organization, and sometimes some pretty amazing high end bags and shoes try Beyond the Rack.

For the most part, my most frequent purchases are from Hautelook or Ruelala.
