Ok so I've been wanting to make this thread for a while. I've also been wanting to start a "random thoughts" thread...but I figured I'd separate the categories so that at least the "beauty" one is on the front page, rather than hidden in off topic. So, have a beauty-related thought but don't think it's worth starting a thread about ? Post it here !

today I got a facial at an extraordinarily nice spa. A real treat. And the results were immediate and truly great. But guys: she pulled out a clarisonic and a foamy cleanser for that first initial cleanse, and I nearly had a heart attack. Great for a lot of people but most of you know how I feel about those things !!!!!! Overall, as I said, it was great and my skin is happy. But sheesh.

So far on this vacation I've had three funny (or interesting or annoying) beauty things to share:

1) on the flight from NY to Istanbul I saw tons of women wearing sheet masks.  Is this a new thing?  I hadn't traveled internationally in awhile so I was surprised.

2) the first day I tried out the waterproof version of Chanel Inmitable and omg it would not come off!  I used eye makeup remover, cleansing oil, and wipes but for days after I felt that there was still some left.  Definitely won't be trying it again.  I already threw it out.  Have too many eye issues as it is.  It is sad though considering how expensive it is.

3) the second day I don't know why but I was standing in the bathroom with an open bag of Shiseido cotton in my hand.  Needless to say, it somehow ended up in the toilet.  😕
