Ok so I've been wanting to make this thread for a while. I've also been wanting to start a "random thoughts" thread...but I figured I'd separate the categories so that at least the "beauty" one is on the front page, rather than hidden in off topic. So, have a beauty-related thought but don't think it's worth starting a thread about ? Post it here !

today I got a facial at an extraordinarily nice spa. A real treat. And the results were immediate and truly great. But guys: she pulled out a clarisonic and a foamy cleanser for that first initial cleanse, and I nearly had a heart attack. Great for a lot of people but most of you know how I feel about those things !!!!!! Overall, as I said, it was great and my skin is happy. But sheesh.

Hey ladies 🙂

anyone else just not know what to do with their eyebrows??

I have really dark brows that are full and have pretty decent shape. I don't want to fill them in (I have no naked spots to fill in and I wouldn't even know where to start).... but when I wear a full glam face of makeup, it feels like my face might look more "complete" if I did something to my brows!! (plus sometimes the color gets a little grayed out from getting some foundation on them)

does anyone have suggestions on how to fix up my brows without doing too much?

Check out Tarte's new Colored Clay Tinted Brow Gel. It is super natural, but will give that extra oomph you're looking for. I found Benefit's too watery and the brush too big to work with, but Tarte's makes my brows perfect every time!

Another suggestion: the Benefit Gimme Brow gel thingy.  It's basically a colored gel with little fibers that "fill in" your brows.  I think it adds a nice dimension to my brows without making them too filled in.  Plus it's pretty easy to use so it's great for lazy days.  Loads of other brands make colored brow gels but Benefit is the only one I can vouch for.

I second this!  I use gimme brow when I want natural brows.  When I draw them in I always aim to make them precise and the gimme Brow takes that power from me.

Yes! Except mine are the opposite!  Mine are sparse and light and I am learning how to make them look fuller.  My main suggestion would be to find a video with someone who has similar brows to yours and watch what they do to their brows.  Just search brow tutorial on YouTube and a million and one videos will come up, then scroll til you find someone's brows you like and see what they do!  

Brow trends are constantly changing.  It wasn't that long ago that we were waxing to get thin brows, now we aren't waxing to get thick ones lol  My how things change!

I love the sleek, defined brow look but I hate when it's sooooo obvious or it looks like they're just painted on. It's kinda difficult to find a middle ground! I'm lucky I was a youngster when suuuuper thin eyebrows were in style, my eyebrows would be in trouble!! lol

Elenamarie, you could always try grooming them with a clear or tinted brow gel?  That would give them a small boost for looking more polished, without being overly obvious.

Thank you for the suggestion! I have heard about clear gel, and that sounds like it's the route to go! Now I just gotta do some research on which brand to buy  🙂

I know that the new formula for the MUFE HD foundation is coming out soon but I went in today to buy my shade in the current formula but there was none on the shelf and the SAs wouldn't even open the drawer to see if it was down there.  I would've checked the drawer myself but I had gone in right when the store opened so there were too many eyes on me and I felt uncomfortable going through it.  Are they not supposed to sell me the current formula or something?  It seemed weird to me.  I will probably go into the SJCP tomorrow to see if I can get it there.  It's so annoying because I finally found the perfect color match (such a struggle matching my darker face to my lighter neck so my SJCP SA did the Color IQ on my neck this time) and my sample is almost done 😞

Yeah, the trick is to check the drawer before they ask you if you need help.

I've been away from BT for a while and I'm in a newish relationship. A couple nights ago, my boyfriend painted my toes for me and the results were pretty good. I was quite surprised lol.
