How do you like the lush ocean salt? I have half of the mini size just sitting in my bathroom because I just can't use it. It's way too abrasive for me. I thought I would love it but don't. I think I'm going to pass it off to my friend because she likes bigger chunks in her exfoliators. I love the scent though! It smells kinda tropical lol.

amberangeline

Re: How extensive is your night time beauty ritual?

I love the scent too! I have just recently added it into to my ritual because I was looking for a hard core exfoliator to help even out my skin's texture. It is really abrasive, especially if you don't use a lot of water with it. I do feel like it's made my skin smoother and gives it a little glow, but I definitely cannot use it every day! Some people like it as a body exfoliator, but I haven't tried that yet.

kd006

Re: How extensive is your night time beauty ritual?

I never thought to use it as a body exfoliator. That would work well before self tanning. I still think my friend will love it more than I did, but I don't think it was a waste of money. I used half of it so it was just whatever lol. I just needed something less harsh since I have dry skin. But I hope you love it!

I'm really terrible about rotating between multiple products at once... its why I have trouble using things up!

-Shampoo/Conditioner- going through a lot of sample packettes right now... once those are finished I'm moving on to a Fekkai Shampoo & Conditioner

-Body Wash- Body Shop Shea Butter Scrub, Paris Amour (BBW) Shower Gel or Neutrogena Acne Scrub

-Simple Wipes

-Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Cleanser, Toner, and Night Blemish Fade Lotion, Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream, Tarte Maracuja Oil (this sounds insane as I'm typing it, but it works)

-Tarte Maracuja C Eye Cream

-every 2-3 days I use a mask, depending on what my skin needs- Body Shop Tea Tree Mask, Vitamin E Mask, Origins Charcoal Mask or Boscia Luminizing Black Mask

@kd006 How do you like the Perricone blue plasma?

kd006

Re: How extensive is your night time beauty ritual?

I love it. I can't imagine my routine without it now. The texture of my skin has changed dramatically. I went through a phase of not using it for about a month.. No idea why.. And I could seriously tell a difference and didn't know why because I was switching around a lot of products at the time. Then I went back to it and realized why my skin had changed. It also has helped with a lot of acne scarring. It's just amazing. I seriously can't rave about it enough. Some people have said they sensed a fishy smell, but I did not get that scent. It doesn't really smell like anything to me. Expensive, but worth every single penny. Lasts forever too. You only need a tiny bit. I've had mine for about 6 months and I still have 1/3 bottle left, and I have a backup.

Re: How extensive is your night time beauty ritual?

My night ritual is shampoo, leave in conditioner, face wash, body wash, pigment lightening serum, and moisturizer.  I take my make up off right when I walk in the door so I don't know if I should count that.

Re: How extensive is your night time beauty ritual?

I'm pretty lazy and my skin is generally nice, so my evening routine is quite simple.

1.  Neutrogena Make Up Removing Wipes (in the blue packaging)

2.  Shampoo (Head & Shoulders, usually - my hair is awesome so I never spend money on expensive shampoos/conditioners)

3.  Conditioner (varies, currently Tresemme)

4.  Face cleanser (usually Murad or Origins)

5.  Body wash

6.  Moisturizer (I LOVE Algenist Overnight Restorative but I only had a deluxe sample which is nearly empty.  My other go-to is Bare Escentuals)

7.  If needed, spot treatment (Murad)

Re: How extensive is your night time beauty ritual?

1. eye makeup remover gel

2. gentle cleanser (arcona raspberry bar or OH on the go)  -2x a week with clarisonic

3. alcohol-free toner - OH pick me up or Kate Summerville

4. treatment - retinol fusion PM or invigorating night gel

5. moisturizer - depends what my skin needs: La Mer in winter/when really dry, Skinceuticals on hormonal acne days, OH vitamin plus when oily

6. eye gel- OH

7. lip balm- Jack Black or Fresh

8. Hair cream/oil - I only wash my hair 2x a week max, so most nights I just brush it & put some oil or cream on the ends.
9. Body lotion - Perricone Cold Plasma Body or Fresh Age Delay
10. Hand/foot cream - Dr. Scholls

I do a mask/ peel once a week if needed, but that's normally on Thursday nights while watching Grey's Anatomy/Scandal depending on my skin's needs: glamglow, lemon flash peel, blue/black berry mask

I got a lot of deluxe/full sized OH items during Black Friday & his F&F sale. Some items I love, and will repurchase. His creams are nice (pure perfection) but are a little too strong since I use retinol.

Re: How extensive is your night time beauty ritual?

I've crafted my night time ritual to be really lazy, because I get really lazy at night...

So I just wipe off my face and make up with Neutrogena wipes, follow up with Stridex salicylic acid wipes, and then put on either Nude Oil or (strangely) Peter Thomas Roth's day time Retin-A cream (I should probably splurge for the oil... but I really like how the cream feels!), and then in the summers, I'll throw vaseline on my nose tip. Theee enddd.

Re: How extensive is your night time beauty ritual?

Now that i'm thinking about it, i do a lot!!! I take showers at night so thats when i do most skincare related things!!

Skin..

-I exfolikate 2 times a week

-Cleanse with Korres Milk Protein, or Murad Acne cleanser

-Tone with Boscia clear complextion tonic

-Occasionally use Murad Exfoliating Gel, or Spot treatment

-Switch between Korres sleeping facial and Josie Maran Infinity cream

-Put on Burt's bee lip balm or Fresh Sugar lip treatment

A few times a week i do a Murad clarifying mask and Fresh Rose face mask.

Body..

-I use Korres Shower Gel, Last Forever!!!

-And use Korres Body Butters all over every other day, my skin isn't too dry so that works.

Hair..

-I switch between a million shampoos and conditioners.

-Use Matrix Biolage conditioning balm once a week

- Put in Redken All soft oil

-Alterna Bamboo Kendi mist oil mist
