Favorite Products for the Feet

What are your favorite products for the feet?

Here are a few of mine:

Nail clippers - It is a much easier way to trim the toenails.

Nail file - Because it is no fun to be scratched or snag onto something.  Some men could benefit from this.  ;x

Aloe Socks - Great as prevention from cracked heels.  Plus they keep my feet warm around the house in the wintertime.

Body butter/lotion - Again, cracked heels are unpleasant.   Keep the feet nice and soft.  Plenty of choices but I love the ones from Pacifica and L'Occitane.

And a fun nail polish for the occasional pedicure.

My absolute favorite foot product is Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme. It's super thick - more like the consistency of Neosporin than lotion. It works better than anything I've ever used and of course, smells divine. As for tools, I love Diamancel's foot file - lasts forever!

I absolutely need to use toenail clippers at least once a month. I can't stand when my toenails get even a little bit past the top of the flesh part (I don't know what it's really called). Hate it when my pinky toenail scrapes my sheets when I'm finding a comfortable sleeping position.

I also use a thick foot cream and cover with thick socks. I love the True Spa foot cream at Bath & Body Works.

I use a Ped Egg for the calluses on my pinky toes. It's the only thing I've used that will get rid of the calluses.

I paint my toenails during warm weather months. The brighter the color the better.

Oh fun thread ran8!

I feel like foot products rarely get the spotlight. Here are my favorites:

Diamancel Diamond File for Foot Calluses #20

I've tried many foot files and pumice stones and this one is by far the best. It instantly makes your feet 10x smoother.

Caudalie Foot Beauty Cream

I love how this foot cream doesn't make you slide across floors or leave a greasy film. It's not only lightweight, but definitely hydrates your feet throughout the day.  When or if your feet sweats and you're wearing heels you won't slip out of them either. :smileywink:

I hope this helps!

Cheers,

Tiffany

Re: Favorite Products for the Feet

I have this little roller device with knurls and grooves in it. You put it on the floor and roll it around with your feet. It relaxes tired feet and works wonders on a foot cramp if you get one from exercising. This one isn't a product, but I also stretch my feet each morning with this exercise that my physical therapist recommended. While sitting down, curl your toes under and press them into the floor. It stretches the tendons and ligaments in the foot, it helps to prevent or lessen bunions and makes feet more able to tolerate high heels. (Don't try this standing up, you do it from a chair, it is a gentle stretch).

As for actual products, I am such a fan of nail polish, it's ridiculous. I have 2 makeup bags just for polish, and have a couple of colors that I am keeping until they are all used up, even though I have to shake like crazy before applying because they try to separate all the time. I'd get a new bottle if they weren't LE and no longer available, even on eBay for an insane price. I can't keep a manicure looking good for more than 15 minutes, so polished toes are my indulgence. I like the Sephora nail tools, I got all of them over the years and keep them in a little pretty plastic box.

Re: Favorite Products for the Feet

I have to say that my favorite foot product is no longer carried with Sephora! The Cake Beauty minty foot cream was SO amazing and soft, especially when rubbed onto the soles of tired feet (a day in heels really does havoc on my toes!) and put in some fuzzy socks to sleep in.

I like to use strenghthening polish on my toes. It sounds a little silly but sometimes  the crazy shoes I have (those hard wooden heels, open toes, wedges, platforms, cowboy boots etc,) can really smash your tootsies in and bug your toes and toe nails. I'm constanly watching and taking care of my feet for health reasons, and I keep my toes in tip top shape. I do avoid pedicures at salons though, can't take and don't want to take a risk at any accidental cuts or infections. If i'm going to stab my foot on accident I prefer it is by my own hand and by tools only used on myself. LOL. You will all think I'm a paranoid toe-freak now!

Fun polish colors (I love bright pinks and oranges or golds), as well as a smoothing nail buffer and the Diamancel nail and callus files are AMAZING and should be in everyone's vanity!

Re: Favorite Products for the Feet

I've been doing ballet for a little over 7 years, so my feet are often put through a lot, even with toe pads in. It's not uncommon for me to leave after a day of class with sore spots and cracked tonails (the worst). I usually give myself a weekly pedicure as a sort of treat to myself, plus I have to keep my nails short to make my shoes more comfortable. After reading about some of the dangers of pedicure spa pools I've sworn of professional pedis due to my own paranoia, and as a way to save some money.

Nail clippers and filers are my basic pedicure tools. I really love using Josie Maran's Aragon oil too as a way to soften my cuticles, which I usually push back using a cuticle stick. Generally I do a 'two-day' pedicure...which basically consists of me removing my old nail polish, clipping and filing down my nails, then pushing back my cuticles with Aragon oil. I usually will apply a thick body butter or hand cream and slip on some cozy socks overnight. This makes my feet baby soft and ready to be painted the following day. I'm lucky in the fact that I don't really get calluses, so I don't have to use a pumice stone, however I do get blisters from time to time (usually when I'm breaking in a new pair of shoes). My solution for this is applying a bit of salve onto the back of your heels. Rosebud Salve is a wonder product that accomplishes this wonderfully :smileyhappy:

In terms of nail colors I generally stick to soft rose hues and reds. I also LOVE doing french tips when I have the patience and time to execute the style.

Re: Favorite Products for the Feet

I love doing at-home pedicures.  These are what I love for my feet:

Foot spa (so relaxing and easy way to warm up my cold feet sometimes!)

Bath and Body Works Toe the Line

BBW Shea it isn't So

BBW Cracked Heel Treatment

aloe socks

nail clippers

nail file

my Butter London Tops and Tails set

any color nail polish!

I think I know what I'll be doing later today after the dating ultrasound and genetic counseling appointments...

Re: Favorite Products for the Feet

The only real product I have in abundance is polish -- I do take care of my feet, but I usually get pedicures. I do have a file for calluses, though (gross!). When my feet get really dry, I put lotion and socks on overnight -- I use La Roche-Posay Iso Urea (anti-roughness cream), which is really heavy and moisturizing.
