Hello, everyone! I am an Intermediate to Semi-Professional (more intermediate than professional) makeup user and I would like to know the makeup remover that works the best on sensitive skin without causing irritation. Please help! Thanks!
After years of looking at it, I finally purchased the clarisonic mia 2 this holiday. However, unlike other users where they see magical right after one use, my skin turn worse. I already have soft smooth skin but you know I still want my skin to be better that's why I brought it. However, it has been a month and a half now and my skin isn't looking better. At first I start having these bump on my cheek but there are no acne or pimples in it. Now I having these huge cyst or pimples all over my forehead. What should I do. I don't want to return it because I want the clarisonic all these years :-( but I really scare if I keep using it my skin just getting worse and worse. What should I do? Should I return it? Thank you for all your reply. It's really help to calm my panics. lol I brought the deep pore cleaning set and I used the products that come with the clarisonic. At first when I brought it, I used it twice a day. But after a few days I dropped it down to once a day because I felt it is unnecessary and my skin start to get burn (like there a cut in my skin but I just don't see the cut). Then my cheek got all these bumps like I mentioned earlier so I stop for a week. Then those bumps went away and I started using the clarisonic again because the clarisonic does help my cleaning routine much easier and faster. Right after I started using the clarisonic again that my forehead start giving my those ugly painful acne cysts. And no, clarisonic and the products that come with it is the only thing I change in my cleaning routine. I just purchased the sensitive and the delicate brush head but I still hesitate should I give these two brushes a try or just return all of them before it is too late.
Don't kill me but I hate washing my face! How effective are the makeup remover cleansing cloths? Specifically I use Neutrogena but I'm wondering the effectiveness of them in general too? Is sephora's better since they are not specific to makeup removal?
Hello everyone! I'm currently in the market to look for a good eyeshadow set that's more of a neutral set. I only own one good eyeshadow pot (it's black) and while I tried to buy a cheap 'neutral' set from the drugstore, it came out weak and chalky. I've got a medium beige skin tone (somewhere between yellow with red undertones so I have to make sure that my foundation cancels out the red!) and my skin tone from sephora is Y308. I'm leaning towards the Naked Palettes because I've tested a few of the colors out and they look great! But I can't seem to decide on which set: Naked 1: warmer (but I won't use the cool blues) Naked 3: warm rose gold (will it make me look sickly?) Naked Basics: perfect neutral mattes (as long as it wont make me look sickly?) I know that I won't want anything cool toned on my skin since it isn't a good look for me so I would appreciate advice!
Hi all, so I'm about to run out of my serum (the clinique dark spot one). I didn't feel like it really worked all that great for me, so I picked up a couple of samples of other serums at my Sephora this morning. My main criteria was evening out my skin tone (with hydration and anti-aging as secondaries), but I know it usually takes longer than a sample lasts to see the full effects. So I was wondering since you all are so gorgeous and knowledgeable whether anyone had recommendations? The three I've picked up samples for are: Ren resurfacing AHA concentrate Kate Sommerville P299 serum Murad active radiance serum Has anyone tried these? What were your experiences like? I have very non-sensitive skin (seriously, nothing reacts, I joke that my layer of dry skin creates an impenetrable barrier) so no concerns there.
I've tried using primers and setting with powder and it still seems to crease. Is there any tricks to how I can keep it from creasing? And btw, are there any other concealers similar to the Erase Paste without all the creasing?
Please help, no matter what I do my lips are always dried and chapped. I hate it because I have a huge lipstick collection and I cant use them because it looks bad with my torn lips. What can I do? Please help.
Nvm, its already up!! http://www.sephora.com/hd-pressed-powder-P384068?s kuId=1567312 I recently got an email that MUFE is launching a pressed version of their loose hd, and am really excited! i don't carry any makeup but this may be worth it. any idea when its set to arrive at sephora online?
I have been struggling recently with a couple of break outs, since it's finals week I've been studying my butt off and when I get stressed out acne usually appears (how lovely). I currently have Lancome Teinte Idole Foundation in the shade Ivoire 4N and was wondering if Kat Von D has better coverage ( as many say it's more of a full coverage foundation). I am pretty neurotic if even a little pimple shows up on my face and if anybody could give me any advice on good foundation, concealers, or tips to clear up my skin. Thanks for reading, Nicole
Hi all! I have some scars on my chin for a car accident and I use MUFE full cover concealer, but I saw this today: http://www.sephora.com/5-camouflage-cream-palette- P12630?skuId=873455 I really want the green concealer at the end of the pallette for fair/light skin but I don't want all the other concealers. So my question is: Does anyone know of a green concealer that works for redness that I can use under my MUFE full cover concealer? Thank you!
I have lines under my eyes...deep set so they are very noticeable. Anytime I wear concealer it inevitably creases. What powder can I use to set the concealer bc my concealers, no matter how good they are at covering, fade quickly. Something super finely milled bc then it will settle into my lines and look 100x worse and cakey!
Hello all, new person here looking for some advice on where to start. From as far back as I can remember, I have been utterly clueless about makeup, skincare, beauty in general. I think I must've missed that secret class that beautiful girls get where they learn how to pick shades and do all that wizardry. Seriously—the first makeup I got as a kid I used to make incredibly realistic bruises on myself. So... let's just say I am clueless, but I want to start somewhere! The few products I have used have never really felt right on my skin, or looked right (and I know, it's got to be like painting, practice, practice, practice) but I haven't worn actual makeup since I went to a wedding in early 2012. I feel like I have very dry skin that doesn't like having anything on it, it feels tight in the mornings even after I slap some lotion on it, and it gets red for a bit before it calms down. I think I've mostly tried mineral makeup because long ago some consultant somewhere told me it was good for the skin, but I honestly have no idea. It's not like I go anywhere fancy, I just want to have the option of dressing it up a bit without looking like a complete dork or dropout from clown college. Could some of you point me in the right direction for products to try? For a starter newbie kit to have in my drawer? I am going to assume that all of the makeup I currently own should be thrown out at this point, if it's older than, what, two years? Where do I even start? Help!
I am doing my makeup in the morning and looks great but once i go to my car and turns red on... here is my routine.. I do my morning routine, cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. primer concealer (makeup forever, to cover little scaring). my foundation (which i tried, stila, lancome, clinique, and estee lauder double wear) set it with a powder (translucent) Bronzer (sometimes) Nars blush.. I do not know what im doing wrong. this happens to me with every single foundation... PLEASE HELP!
Lately I've been staying up late, and have obtained dark circles as a result. They are not extreme, but are noticeable, especially around the inner corners. I would love if you could recommend any liquid concealers that will cover up the darkness, won't accentuate the dryness around my eyes, and are not drying. If the concealer is paraben-free, it would be even better! Concealers I've tried, and have not worked: Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer Bare Minerals Pot Concealer- can't remember the name, I actually haven't used this under my eyes because the shade I have is too dark, let me know if it works though! Chanel Concealer- the liquid one, can't remember the name Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer Garnier Dark Circle Concealer Maybelline Fit Me Rimmel Illuminating Concealer Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer Thanks.
I'm looking for an eyebrow product for truly black, a little sparse eyebrows. I don't know if it matters, but I'm Korean. I've gone into stores and I keep getting told to try a taupe color, but they are too red for my skin coloring. I need a product that leans cool in color that matches my brow color and won't break me out. I'm pretty pale and my hair is jet black.
Help please! I am looking for another one of the give me more lip sets. I purchased one (the smaller one for $25 i believe) in October and I loveeee it and I would like to get another for my friend for Christmas. I feel stupid for not buying it sooner. Does anyone know if they'll be getting more in stock??
This winter my under eye's have been very dry. Currently i am using Origin's Ginzeng eye cream in the morning but through out the day, my under eyes gets very dry. I am looking for a suggestion of a good eye cream that is hydrating and it will help with my dryness. Thank you
Recently, I got a makeover at one of the counters, and LOVED IT! However, within about 15 min, the eyeliner used on my waterline (Urban Decay) had somehow smudged onto my contacts. I must have looked crazy going around the mall with super squinty eyes and asking for directions to a place where they sold contact solution...heehee.... Anyways, I was wondering: What is the best eyeliner for waterlines--one that won't smudge onto contacts? Also, black, nude, or white for the color? <3 thanks!
