So I had the worst retail experience of my life at a local sephora now almost 2 months ago.  I have complained multiple times to the Rouge line (which has escalated it twice to the district manager), posted on BT and filled out the online survey.  No response.  Basically the district manager is choosing to ignore it. In short, a Store Director was rude to me and her new employee.  She gave me a very hard time about a return of a recently purchased item, unused and with receipt (rude from the moment she walked up to show a new employee how to do a return).  My credit card had been stolen two days before so she said Sephora wouldn't take it back.  I insisted.  She persisted, being argumentative and accusatory.  I insisted, explaining Sephora policy to her calmly.  I also bit my tongue for the ten minutes the return took then at the end pointed out that she could have called the credit card company to verity the account (I've since learned that returns go through on re-issued cards, only sales don't).  She told me "I had to" lower my tone.  It wasn't raised but it wasn't friendly. I told her that I don't have to do anything (she has apparently never heard of please or even common courtesy) then she kicked me out of the store. Her new employee…was apologizing the whole time and quite upset. And the district managers response has been to basically not respond, even though the issue has been repeatedly escalated. I plan to keep calling, posting complaints etc.  Any other thoughts or advice?  I am still, months later, so mad at how badly this store manager behaved.  Even a little courtesy would have made all the difference. Practical results?  I skipped the KVD interstellar and MUFE 50 shades, getting a Chanel highlighter (Macy's) and 4 TF Lips and Boys (Neimans) instead.  I was going to get the Pantone palette and blush (I already ordered the lipstick) but might get the Guerlain or Chanel spring stuff (Nordstrom) instead. Thanks for listening and advice. Once and a while we get mad enough to persist.  This situation was seriously by far the worst retail experience I've ever had.  And I was dressed nicely, being on my way to a formal dinner.

It's so annoying. I have used every lip product out there from Bite's and Fresh's scrubs, to Sephora's $6 balm to Amore Pacific's $42 balm, Fresh lip serum and every product in between and nothing helps. NOTHING. Spring, summer, fall and winter, it's not even seasonal. Vaseline even, nothing works.    When I'm not wearing balms I'm wearing moisturizing lipsticks.    I just don't get it. I don't think there is anything else for me to try.    Anyone else suffer from this and have you found a solution? It's been years and years for me of trying everything.

okay so I bought my naked 2 palette about a week ago and i'm kinda new to eyeshadow so please don't judge me if this question is really dumb haha.  but there is something weird about the pigmentation in my palette, because some of the colours aren't as pigmented as I thought they would be. for example, verve hardly shows up even when i swatch it with my finger. however, i went to sephora and swatched their palette really lightly on verve and it was REALLY pigmented.  does it get more pigmented as you use it more because of the layers? or does it have to do with something else (like how many people touched it etc.)? or is mine just defected... this is actually really worrying so please help!

I have warm-toned pale skin (3y03 in Pantone), warm eyes (hazel green), but really purple toned lips and, if I left my hair natural it would be salt and pepper. I dye my hair dark brown, but waver between neutral and warm tones. When I wear warm tones, i think I look good, but the second my lipstick fades, I look washed out. I have used the Bobbi Brown philosophy which is based on lip tone, but sometimes feel washed out with full makeup on. (Bobbi's makeup is very blue based, and my natural lip shade is her pink mauve.) should I just make sure I can re apply all day?

Any suggestions for great brush for applying compact face powder?  I only need light coverage.  (I don't prefer Sephora brushes because that ones I bought shed a lot).  Thanks in advance for all your suggestions.

Hi.   I have been washing my face with a new face wash that has dried out my under eyes a lot. I will stop using it by my eyes... in the mean while, the delicate skin under my eyes has begun flaking. I need to figure out a fix ASAP.    Right now I have the following: Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm C linique A ll A bout E yes Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Eye ...and while they are all good products for normal hydration needs, they are not doing the job for my current situation.   In the past I have had good luck with Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Intensive Eye Contour Cream but it does contain parabens and I am trying to phase them out. I just returned the Algenist Genius Ultimate Anti-Aging Eye Cream because it totally irritated my skin (and may have actually been the true culprit for my current problem).    So, what are your paraben-free, extreme hydration eye cream recommendations?   TIA!!

I know I have neutral toned skin but how do you know if you have a yellow undertone, pink, beige, etc.? I've done a lot of stupid internet tests that failed to give me the answer to my questions. Every time they say "Your undertone is neutral !" Like, that's not what I wanted. Help?

So I recently purchased the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H foundation in Buff N (210).  I initially thought it was going to be too light for me (in color), but surprisingly, it blended really well.  I need advice on the best way to apply this foundation.  The first time, I didn't use a primer at all since I don't have super oily skin, but more combination, and I know some of these full coverage foundations can really stick to dry patches.  I applied it with a damp Beauty Blender.  Kept me pretty matte, but the coverage wasn't great at all.     The next time I used the Korres Pomegranate Mattifying Treatment primer, my holy grail primer (again applying with a damp Beauty Blender), and I was OILY about 5 hours into the day, which is unusual for me...usually my T-zone gets oily, but not my whole face...it's like my makeup slid right off.   I'm thinking of trying it with the Hourglass Mineral Veil primer and a buffing brush rather than the Beauty Blender.  If I want GOOD coverage and to STAY matte...would this be a better combo?  Or should I forego primer altogether with this particular foundation (again, keeping in mind I have combination skin, so I have propensity for dry patches in the winter)?   Oy, the trials and tribulations of full coverage foundation application lol.....

I am interested in trying a chemical exfoliant, but am not sure which would be best for me skin.  I have sensitive, acne-prone, combination skin.  Blackheads on my nose are a particular concern of mine.  I really want to find something that will clean out my pores and brighten my skin tone.  I am wary to try a chemical exfoliant because of my sensitivity, but think this is probably the best way to treat my skin outside of a dermatologist.  What would you suggest?  I'm not too concerned about price, as long as it works!

I sometimes get watery eyes when I wear certain eyeshadows/eyeliner (I returned the Stila Stay All Day Liquid liner because of this). Lately I’ve noticed that when wearing shadows from the new Too Faced Semi-Sweet palette my eyes have been getting very watery. Has anyone else experienced this? And is this a symptom of something that should alarm me?   Thanks!   Felicia

I have a Charlotte Tilbury eye crayon that I love and I'm wondering if Sephora carries any that I would like as much. I do not want a ton of metallic/frost. It doesn't have to be matte or anything, just not off the wall metallic. I found the Laura Mercier ones too  metallic except the one dark brown one which is too dark for an all over wash of color which is what I am looking for color.   Any suggestions on others I could look at?

I'm close to VIB rouge and it would be wonderful for next year since my grad and all, but I know my year to achieve it ends sometime in Christmas break. It's only a $37 purchase but I'm currently spending my money on gifts for others so it would make a difference if I needed to make the purchase by the 27nd instead the 18th. My Sephora account isn't set up right so there's no way I could check online. Could I simply call my local Sephora and ask when my year ends? Or would I need to go to the store itself?

Hi All, I have ruddy skin and while I can go ahead and use my own redness for blush... I do not want to do that! I use Fusion Ink -- awesome -- which rids me of most of the my ruddiness. I was wondering what color blush and brand would be a fun try for someone who has brown eyes, normally wears dark eyeshadow and liner. I have pinks.. but seriously for the most part...pretty BORING.

I love the way Kat's liquid lipsticks look matte and stay put once they dry. I don't really wear regular lipstick because I can't stand it smearing. Is there another brand of liquid lipstick that is as good as KVD liquid lipstick, but less expensive? Thanks!

Today my husband bought me a gift card for $125 and got a Personal Beauty Consultation. I'm confused on how this works. Do I have to spend the $125 after the consultation? Am I obligated to purchase afterwords?

I'm still looking for some gift ideas for my husband. I've really been leaning towards the $60 cologne sampler as I've been trying to convince him to wear more cologne. But I feel like that's just as much for me as for him and I don't know how much HE'D appreciate it.   Then I also thought, sometimes his face hurts. Like it's weird, he doesn't break out or get red or anything. But the skin on his face hurts. ANd I was wondering if there was some kind of moisturizer or something I could get him that might help with that. Any ideas?   I'm hoping to keep it to $60 or less here as well    Thanks in advance!!!

My family knows I am a beauty and skincare junkie so recently my aunt bought me the Ole Henriksen's ultimate lift gel eye cream. I've only used it a handful of time and I can already tell it's reacting poorly with my skin. I don't have a receipt since it was a gift, and I threw away the box it came in, not thinking twice about it. Would I be able to go to my local Sephora and exchange this for something else? (She told me it was indeed purchased at a Sephora. If I can exchange it, does it need to be for another eye cream or can I get anything?

I finally found the PERFECT " my lips only better " lip color.... Josie Maran's Limitless Pink (Infinity Lip & Cheek). Only prb, color only stays 30 min b5 reapp needed. What has the same/similar shade of Limitless Pink, but w/a bit of staying power?  I don't know how to describe it, or the undertone, so that info would be great too. I'm opened to whatever has that beautiful shade of pink I need.   Any help is appreciated

Okay so I have fairly normal skin for the most part. The only problem is that I have sensitive skin and I mean HIGHLY sensitive. I'm allergic to all tree nut oils and I will break out in hives if I come in contact with any tree nut oils. I wash my face every night but I realize I feel like it's not doing a great job. I don't have cystic acne, but I feel as if there is always multiple breakouts on my face. The majority is near my forehead and nose area. Every once and a while I will get one near my chin or upper lip. I rarely break out on my cheeks. However I want a skincare system that will for the most part clear up all my acne. Any suggestions?
