First off let me say that I have been a Sephora diva for a long time but recently started really exploring my VIB treats and actually finding this advice section of the site! I am very excited! I have been using bareminerals for about 5 years now. I have acne prone skin and really big pores. I have noticed for a while that when someone hugs me close or if I lay my face against my boyfriends shirt my make up rubs off. It's embarrassing and I get really self conscious about it. I recently saw that make up setting sprays have become pretty big and was wondering if you guys think it would work for a mineral make up? I am on the fence of whether to try a different foundation because of this issue. I am too afraid of using a liquid foundation for the fear of getting real bad break out. I am open to new foundation you guys think would be great for a acne prone skin. I have a combination skin, mostly dry around the mouth and oily in the t zone. I would appreciate any feedback!
In MAC Im a NC30-35. And I always get matched to 3Y08 or 4YO9 which I am very sure is too dark.Is anyone else in my shade range in MAC and can tell me what their COLOR IQ code is? I want to purchase some new foudnations
So far I've tried Mica, Nars , and Smash box Primers placed on me by an SA. But I hate the feeling of primer. I feel sealed and awkward. In addition for some reason when I wear primer for sure the Mica one my hair sticks and is drawn to my face? Its so weird! I find my self pulling my hair out of my face constantly. However, I believe it was the Nars or Smashbox primer (pretty sure it was Nars ) made my skin feel soft when I removed my make up But I still wasn't to found of the feeling the primer gave me when it was on. my makeup stays in place pretty mush all day except for my nose area only oily place & slightly my chin. My only problem area. Before I place my makeup on I put my clinique Moisture surge and no primer. anyone suggest great a great moisture that works well with makeup because I don't use primer. ? any recommendation for Fresh? Should I be using anti aging Products? turned 20 Nov 1 Is it harmful? Or too much chemicals? I don't want to use it but I see most products with anti aging in it. Oh!! And sunscreen! tends to clog my pores and I break out within hours. But so far Nars Tinted Moisture is just fine. any sunscreen recommendations ? I want to wear it but I break out so easily.
Hi everyone, I've finally saved up enough for a Bobbi Brown brush - I've heard they're amazing, but am curious which one you recommend or would buy if you could only get one? I have a full set of brushes that are less expensive, but am excited to start upgrading one at a time. Any suggestions on which one is your favorite would be so great! Thanks! xChloe
Hello I have yellow undertone and my skin is not so fair or not so medium. I'm 19 years old and I am asian. I have really dry skin in my nose area, around mouth, and sometime under eye. I have uneven dull skin tone and pores on my nose. I'm looking for a foundation that fit with my skin tone and skin concerns. I've been trying out lots of foundation but it look my face cakey and dry more. Please help me find the right shade and right foundation and concealer for my dark circle. Thank you so much and waiting for some advices.
My skin is combination and gets changes with the seasons. Since I live in the wonderful Mid West this happens a lot. I get dry patches with oily spots. Recently my BB cream with my Sephoria mineral powder is not working. The powder just sits on the top of the BB cream and gets kind of cakey. Any suggestions would be so appreciated. Thank you
I have been looking for the perfect foundation for my skin. Every time I go to sephora either a lady comes to me who does not know or no one would help. I have oily/combo skin. I have acne scars around my cheeks which is the only problem area I have. I need something for everyday, all day. what do you recommend... I do not like stila's foundation; because the color is either too light or too dark.
Every time I put on lipstick, I (unthinkingly) press my lips together (usually because of stress) then end up with lipstick way outside my lipline. i just recently started wearing higher end lip products and noticed this trend, probably because the lipstick is finally staying on well. What is the best way to prevent It from traveling though?
I have been a cheap drugstore make up user since I started wearing make up. Last year, I began getting pink eye/swollen eyelids every time I wore make up. I stopped for a while and then switched to Physicians Formula due to its natural less allergenic ingredients. However, I am unsatisfied with the quality of the products. I was wondering if you could suggest some brands that would be good for my sensitive skin. I've heard some bad things about CLINIQUE, what else would you recommend?
Hi, I have extremely fair skin and a lot of sun damage. The skin on my face and neck is very discolored, lots of red and white splotches. I have tried everything I can think of to coax my skin into just being one color again, including toners, OTC microdermabration, OTC peels, and OTC skin bleach. Any suggestions? I want to be able to go out without coating my entire face in foundation. Thanks!
I have ice pick scars and pores on my checks and i need something to make them less visible. I use the naked beauty balm along with the naked foundation. It slightly fills them in but you can still notice them alot. what would be a good primer to use to fill deep wholes in?
What is the best palette for green eyes? I have the naked 2 and too faced boudoir eyes palette. And also how can i get a hold of the too faced chocolate bar palette and the too faced a few of my favorite things? Too faced is really coming out with even more amazing palettes!!
I have a beauty insider card that I always use when I shop in the store, but recently I bought some things online and I realized the points from the card do not show up on my online account. I used the same email for both so I don't understand why the points don't show up, but is there a way to combine them? Can I do it myself? Thanks!
Any recommendations for a non-foaming gel or milk cleanser? I have oily/congested skin and I have found that a cleansing balm has greatly improved my skin but I like to follow up with a different cleanser for the second cleanse. Recommendations?
Is this a great product and is it right for me? I have fair, 40's skin with pinky/red undertones and bluish veins. I have some visible pores. I am wanting the color, Diffused Light . It sounds perfect! Is it over-hyped (as some say) or worth it? Any other suggestions? Please help! Thanks!

So I usually have extremely oily skin but due to the recent weather change (or at least I think so) my face has become very dry. This is the first time I have experienced dry skin and I need some help finding a moisturizer, or frankly anything that can get rid of this problem! Please help
I have been slathering my lips with glosses, balms, and oils all day long and they keep getting worse and worse. It all started this morning when I woke up with bright red, blistered lips with skin peeling. We had a storm in DC last night so the air is drier and colder--could this be the culprit? Has this happened to anyone else? Any recommendations? I will try ANYTHING!! It's 4am and I can't sleep because my lips are so painful from the skin cracking and peeling.
