I've been using Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare - Alpha Beta Peel Extra Strength Daily Peel packets for about a week now and have broken out. I figured this is because my skin needs to get used to the product. Is this the case? I have oily, acne prone skin with scars and started using this in hopes that it would combat my scars. Thanks!
Im looking for a product for my mother- Something anti aging/wrinkle reducing. She has tried several products, but none with the results described in the product details. can you recommends a good daily use product that will really help her with fine lines and wrinkles?

I've struggled and still struggle with hormonal/cystic acne that didn't start until I was around 20-21. I'm currently looking for suggestions on a product that could help control my hormonal acne, but above anything else help get rid of my acne scars! Some of my scars are dark and some are sort of red. I also have some hyper pigmentation and slightly dry skin. I'm so tired of having an uneven skin tone and I just want nice smooth skin! Haha any suggestions would be great!!
I am super pale and still have yet to find a foundation, or even a concealer, that matches my skin tone. I do not have pink undertones which makes it difficult. I also find that most pale foundations have a yellow tint. Help! What foundation would work for me??
Hi !! Can anyone recommend a good, matte, contour powder for medium/tan/medium-deep complexion with warm, yellow undertones? I want something that won't look orange or grey and something that's super-blendable ! Thanks!
Hello everyone! I've been having so much trouble with contouring my face lately. I am so pale that everything is either too dark or too orange. The foundation shade that I use is Y205 by Make Up Forever - Ultra HD. So that kind of gives you an idea of how pale I am. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what I could use to contour.
after ten years of marriage, my husband has finally agreed to let me help him with his problemic skin...except I have no clue what advice to give him!! His skin is always very dry, red, and itchy. He rubs his face all day, which makes it worse. I told him if he had a routine with the right types of products, his skin would probably calm down. Does anyone have a routine And products to recommend?
I have a lot of melasma and under eye dark circles any suggestions, my spots are like brownish or greenish almost but after I apply foundation you can still see them and they then look bluish. My skin is a mess please help ! My skin is medium with kind of an olive tone
I have super oily/combination (dry) skin. My nose is the worst. Lately my make-up has been sloughing off right under my nose and the sides. I use Murad Oil control mattifier and Makeup Forever duo matte powder which seems to be working the best. I also use Cover FX setting powder (only one that doesnt dry my makeup out and look cakey). My entrie face will be fine except right under my nose and on the sides in the crease. Its driving me crazy! I have also been on the hunt for a good facial cleansing line. I am also making appointment to see a Derm to see if there is something else that can help my crazy oily huge pores. Any advice?
I am so confused!! All my life, I have had oily skin (hello reflector!), though I never really had breakouts (no red bumps), just pimples during the time of the month and whenever I was stressing out and blackheads on the nose. Yesterday I went to the skincare counter at Neiman Marcus trying to figure out moisturizers (creams vs lotions vs gels) and I was told that I didn't have oily skin but dry skin. Huh?!? Is it possible for me to be oily but have dry skin? On top of that, I was told that I shouldn't be using gels because it's not moisturizing enough for my skin. The lady seems to know what she is talking about, but I am confused and am skeptical. If the ladies here can chime in and educate me a bit, I would be really grateful. In the meantime I am still searching for my HG moisturizer to use during the day (with SPF) and at night - that helps to control oil production and doesn't feel heavy. I have tried all sorts of items (expensive La Mer items to affordable Clinique items) and everything seems to be the same to me other than whether the product is uber sticky/heavy on me/I wake up incredibly shiny.
Hi, I got a sample of Kat Von D Lock It Foundation this summer and really loved it, it was a bit too dark for me but worked great when I mixed it with my regular foundation (Smashbox CC cream in Fair.) However I can't remember which shade of Lock It I got as a sample. What would be a comparable colour match for Smashbox CC in Fair? I intend to keep mixing them together, the coverage was fantastic and I got tons of compliments on how great my skin looked. Right now the CC cream is just not giving me enough coverage.
Does Sephora carry any water based eyeliners? I am seeking this, because I started getting my lashes done, and my lash esthetician says to not use oil based products on my eyes, or they are more likely to come out. Thank you!
I have a bit of acne on my face, nothing too serious but I do suffer from breakouts. I have a lot of blackheads on my chin, especially underneath the sides of my mouth. Everywhere else on my face is clear, but there. The only way I know how to get rid of them is to squeeze them out, which then causes me to get acne there. I even have scars on my chin from the blackheads. I have also used pore strips and they don't work for me at all, if anything they just cause me more acne in that area. I also get super dry skin in that area because of the blackheads. What can I do or what is a good product I can purchase to possibly help me get them under control or get rid of them. Thank you, Chelsea
Hi Everyone! Newbie here.. Im sure this question has been asked a thousand times, but I'm here to add a different spin onto it, If you could all please inform me what is your opinion? When I drive around shopping in the wintertime, I always have the heat cranked in my vehicle up to 25 degrees Cs (80 Fahrenheit to Americans). I noticed today that my shower gel which I bought was warm to touch when I brought it in the house (the heater was blasting right onto my bag). Does this effect the shower gel in any way? Would you all still use the shower gel or is it now need to be discarded? (I'm paranoid sorry). Lastly, at what temperature do your cosmetics and skin care or body care sit at when you are driving to and fro in the winter time? Can any of you describe products which were left in moderate heat and turned out to be fine? I guess I'm just worried the texture or smell of my shower gel is off. It will take me long time to use since it's a scent I love but I only reach for maybe once or twice a month? Will it go bad faster now that it's been warmed? Thanks for your opinions on this matter.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I have normal to dry skin, leaning towards dry now. I'm trying to go back to a much simpler skincare routine since my skin is irritated (too much exfoliation, 2 new products, lots and lots of bumps/clogged pores). I'm just using cleansers and rose hip oil now. I'm assuming my skin is dehydrated and dry, but the rosehip oil isn't being absorbed since it's so papery. I tried to google some advice but I couldn't really find anything close to my condition, I guess I'm not searching the right terms I was trying out the belif moisture bomb (2 weeks) but I stopped using it because my skin had hundreds of bumps/clogged pores (you can see the photos in my other post). I wasn't sure if this, the BHA lotion, and witch hazel (all new products I've been trying) or my makeup (same routine for the past year but the clogged pores are very recent) along with over exfoliation are the cause. I couldn't control myself and thought exfoliating would help me so I kept doing it. I'm not using a cream moisturizer (belif), the witch hazel, and the BHA anymore, just rose hip oil. I was exfoliating pretty often with peeling gels (the gel you rub into dry skin and skin comes off like eraser bits), scrubs, exfolikate (used it once) and glamglow masks in this one month period. How can I get rid of this papery skin so that my oil will be absorbed? It just kind of sits on top it. Whenever I scrunch my eyebrows this happens. First picture is unedited, second is edited so you can see the details. It's like having a thin piece of glossy scotch tape over my forehead... This is the only area like this, the rest of my face is fine. I'm trying not to use any new products until my clogged pores go away just to make sure I don't get an allergic reaction to anything and then have to deal with the pores also. But if you have any product recommendations, please leave them below! Should I try the belif moisturizer again? Would that be easier to absorb as opposed to an oil? Also... Any recommendations for fading scars? I know I shouldn't pop pimples but I do it anyway ugh... The color unevenness isn't as bad as it seems, the iPhone camera is picking up everything and exaggerating it :\
I have aging skin (62) and with a move to NC a few months ago from uber dry NM I am experiencing breakouts and sensitive skin issues. My usual Korres Black Pine regime isn't working!!! Any advice?!! Thanks, Carolina
I fell in love with a sample of the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in the 5.5 shade, which was a perfect match for my summer complexion. However, I waited too long to by the full-size, and now that my tan has faded it's a tad too dark. There isn't a Sephora store even remotely close to me that carries this brand in-house, and every color-match I've done turns out differently & usually way too light. I've tried to do research online, but even there I've found conflicting information--imagine that! So, pretty please, I need advice on a what number of Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation would be ONE SHADE lighter than the 5.5. Thank you!
I have dry, rather porous skin/liney skin. I am looking for a medium/full coverage foundation, and under eye concealer (powder suggestion would be great too!) I've considered the Clinique Pore Refining Foundation, but haven't seen many reviews!
