Heading into the new holiday sets of 2015 I wanted to get insight of the best of 2014 (sometimes brands are consistent; sometimes they disappoint...but still). Last year I loved the LM eye sticks, the UD Vice Ltd (the neon green one), the Tarte set and the Sephora collection mini cleanser set. I also liked the UD and KVD mini lipstick sets. And then there was the Chanel Camellia de Plumes highlighter. Anyone else?
I am 24 years old and I get random breakouts. I cannot use any acne products that are harsh because it makes my skin red and itchy. I use a cleanser , toner, and moisturizer every morning and night. Is there any other product I can add to my skin care routine to help
Hello! I'm a man and I have very, very tough fingernails. My nerves are also quite close to the white portion of the nail (the outermost edge). I have been cutting my nails in a way that I leave several mm of the white visible but I see all the other men with little to no white and I think it is much classier that way. Do you have any recommendations/tips for my problem? Also please suggest a very high quality pair of nail scissors, because the simple dollar style scissors cannot even cut thru my nails.
Hello, I'm 67 years old & would like to know what others have used & liked in a facial serum. I had a small sample of Lancome Advanced Genifique & it seemed very nice, but then when I read the reviews (sorted by age), there were too many blah comments. I want something that will reduce redness, large pores, lines on side of nose, & just overall brightening & tightening. Thanks!
hello! i was hoping to get some advice about choosing the best liquid foundations i am looking for medium, sheer and full coverage with all different finishes just to have a variation of foundations for all occasions, i do have dry-combo skin. i will really appreciate any help! Thanks
Hello I have a few questions about my face, Heres the story I am a 26 female and have never really wore foundation because honestly I really don't need it my skin is ok its not great but I would say it is good, I don't have uneven skintons or acne besides for on my chin which has blackheads, Foundation was never really needed and the few times I did wear it it does not really look that good on me because I have peachfuzz on my face and it brings it out and I also start to break out of my checks which I never ever do and never have, honestly I cant really even use face washes because I break out I only use face wash on my chin other hen that I take off my blush with a baby whip I use such a little amount sometimes don't even wear it at all, My question is, Do I break out because my face is used to not having anything on it? I have tried many types of face washes for sensitive skin and still after a few days I start breaking out the same with moisturizer I break out when my face has anything on it and honestly my face is pretty clear! Should I just keep doing what I am doing or let my face get used to stuff being on it? and start wearing foundation? Thanks so much for all of your help
For those of you who have the Marc Jacobs brush, do yall think its really worth the price? I'm really picky about my brushes. I have never owned any of the Marc Jacobs brush. The foundation brush I use is the Sigma F80 Flat top Kabuki which I absolutely love! For those of you ladies that have both of these brushes, which one is the better out of the two? I use the Marc Jacobs foundation. I heard that the Face III brush works really well with it. But since it is a little pricey, I wanted to get yalls opinions first.
I bought a Lancome youthful radiance gift set on Sephora. Now I am not sure about the valid date of the products. On the bottle of the Gebufuque Yeux Light-Pearl Eye Illuminating Youth Activating Concentrate, there is a productive number: 40K63Z. What does this mean? What is the meaning of every number or character? Thank you!
I can't leave the house without lining my lower lid. I have a baby face and it makes me feel at least a little more confident! However whenever my best friend sees me putting it on she says "why are you putting liner on your waterline? That's not good." Is this true? Am I doing my liner all wrong? Also I ALWAYS have problems with it smudging and looking like I have a black eye. Again! Am I doing this lol wrong?
Oddly, today I finished the most recent Coco Chanel biography (amazing) and I also got a really weird email through my youtube that if I wanted a boy I should wear more Chanel scents and Guerlain makeup. Crazy timing (and comment) right? But I got to thinking...I used to wear Chanel scents and I used to wear even more of their makeup. The latter I've recently gotten more into ..and the product can be excellent though not always. So, if I want more boys, or just to buy the best of Chanel, what should I be buying (or is Guerlain a better bet)?
Hello, I have a weird skin type. It's definitely more on the oily side , but in the oily parts my skin is flakey ..? Not sure why this is. I have large pores and tend to breakout. I exfoliate, moisturize, prime, set... And my makeup still looks like crap.. Within 2 hours. The oil starts to separate the makeup , while ithe makeup is still clinging to the flakes? It looks terrible. I have tried brushes , besuty blender etc.. Anyone else have the same skin type as me? It's so frustrating! What are the best products for it ? Also any good products or tips for dry thick hair ? Please help!! Thanks primers ive used : smashbox , benefit, urban decay, makeup forever skin care I'm currently using : gentle cleanser by neutoragena, alcohol free gentle toner by neutoragena, and clean and clear oil free moisturizer . And garnier black head scrub exfoliater current foundation: Mac Pro long wear , and SEPHORA brand setting powder
I have extremely dark circles underneath my eyes and I need a product that will cover them well. I have no idea what to use because I am new to makeup and every concealer I have tried doesn't seem to work. I currently have Urban Decay's 24/7 Concealer Pencil that I do like for other things, but it doesn't do the job for my eyes. I have combination skin that can get oily sometimes especially as the day goes on. Do I possibly need BB/CC cream to cover them up? A different type of concealer? Does anyone have any advice for me?
I love the Makeup Forever HD cream blushes. I have two, 335-fawn and 501-raspberry. I am Filipino with tan skin. What would be the next two colors I should buy that are different from what I already have?
So I dyed my hair green a few months back and I faded it but didn't take all the color out. After that I bleached it, which didn't take out the rest of the green...so then I used One N Only Colorfix (I used it about a week ago) from Sally's Beauty Supply. It seemed like it removed it, but the green is slowly coming back. Nothing is working. My hair is a disgusting embarrassing snot green/yellow color. I wanted to dye it pink tomorrow! Will the pink dye cover it, or will I have to try something else? Here is my hair color now (sorry, I had just washed it): I wanted to dye it this color: Please help! I'm at my wits end.
I recently went to Sephora to get color matched for the Esteé Lauder double wear foundation and I was told I am Bronze 5w1 but I couldn't find it on Sephora's IQ page to see what shade I am in other brands. Can someone help me find that shade in other brands? Thanks! x
Highlighters and contouring are the talk of the season. I wanted to start a thread where everyone can list their skintone and highlighters they own/like for different occasions. It could be a useful resource for anyone looking for highlighters. Are you guys in? I will start. Skintone: Medium/ Mac NC30ish Highlighter Liquid- Becca Opal (Love it, most used), Benefit high beam (too light, good for fairer skintone) Cream- Benefit Watts Up (Good match, don't use it often) Powder- Kevin aucoin celestial powder in candlelight (Love it, most used)
What is a comparable foundation to the HD Makeup Forever foundation. No the Ultra (new formula) as it is way to oily and breaks me out. The old formula, which I have used for years, was perfect. Never oily and never break out.
Ok..deep breath. I am a female who unfortunately has awful facial hair issues, which in turn I have to shave. My jawline and chin area can be smooth as can be but when I put makeup on, it looks rough and bumpy up close. I use Tend skincare after shaving to help with razor bumps and irritation. No matter what primer or foundation I use this is the end result. Is there anything I can do skin care wise or makeup wise to help minimize this? I am so embarrassed about this and feel like people are always looking at this part of my face. I use purity face wash, Clinique mild clarifying toner, and Clinique moisture surge. I also use Clinique men's exfoliating face scrub before shaving to try and get a good close shave.
I recently ordered philosophy's miracle worker miraculous skin care collection set and have used it for a few days (day and night) but I was wondering how I could use my tartes maracuja oil with it? Or if I shouldn't use anymore even though I have a jumbo size of it. Just seems like a waste and I do really like the stuff. Any suggestions?? Oh and I would only use the tarte oil at night, so I just want to know if there's a way to incorporate in my new nighttime skincare routine. Thank you!!!
Hello I recently bought the anastasia creme contour kit in light and I'm having problems with it. I'm not a contouring expert, but any means but I have been watching youtube to get tips and tricks. I'm having the worse trouble with it creating dry patches on my skin. First I prime my face with the hydrating laura mercier primer. Then I use the josie maran argan oil and I put that on contour palet (this is what I have seen people do in youtube videos). Then I proceed to higlight and contour my face. Followed with my smashbox foundation and the laura mercier setting powder. Between my eyebrows, right above my nose and any highlighted creme parts that are on my forehead are really dry and sort of cakey (so mostly where I highlight my forehead becomes dry and cakey). I don't have this problem with my cheeks. I was using the kat von contour kit and didn't have any problems like this, but I really wanted to try out something different. Does anybody have any tips for me? Maybe I need to start using a moisturizer? The only moisturizer I use is from the third step in my proactiv routine (using proactiv could be casuing the problem as well).
Hello! I am on BT multiple times a day and am just recently starting to join in on the convo! I do have a problem, though. My foundation seems to separate and look patchy around my lower cheek and jawline. I have an expansive skincare routine for being a 20-year-old and have combo skin. I do make sure my skin is properly hydrated before going in with my makeup. I am currently using the Makeup Forever Step 1 moothing primer before going in with my Too Faced Born This Way foundation. Any suggestions on what to do BTers? You ladies and gents always have a solution haha!!
