I have been struggling recently with a couple of break outs, since it's finals week I've been studying my butt off and when I get stressed out acne usually appears (how lovely). I currently have Lancome Teinte Idole Foundation in the shade Ivoire 4N and was wondering if Kat Von D has better coverage ( as many say it's more of a full coverage foundation). I am pretty neurotic if even a little pimple shows up on my face and if anybody could give me any advice on good foundation, concealers, or tips to clear up my skin. Thanks for reading, Nicole
I've tried using primers and setting with powder and it still seems to crease. Is there any tricks to how I can keep it from creasing? And btw, are there any other concealers similar to the Erase Paste without all the creasing?
My current routine: -bare minerals powder (the pressed compact) in medium -Neutrogena concealer on blemishes and red spots -Ooh la lift dotted undereyes -bare binerals bronzer in warmth for a blush (contouring) My skin type: combination (I get dry spots in winter, but still also have the occasion breakout and redness) My skin tone: I'd say it's a medium beige. I get very tan in the summer. I am not sure if I have yellow or pink undertones? What I'd like to have: that smooth, airbrush finish, but with the ease of something I can do every morning (fairly quickly) Right now I feel splotchy, and like I don't have enough coverage to hide imperfections. I want an overall brightness back! I recently purchased the Hourglass Ambient powder in Luminous, and am thinking of also purchasing the Radiant color. I prefer a more bronze look to a "blush" as opposed to anything super pink. I want to bring out my cheek bones. I have used Dior's airflash foundation, and love it, but is that too heavy to use everyday? Sometimes I break out after using it. I also have some loose finishing powder by Chanel, but don't really know what to do with it! I need advice on possibly using a foundation, and on which brushes are best for each of the aforementioned products. I currently use the all-over bare minerals brush and the bare minerals long flat kabuki for bronzer. I am looking for a highlighting brush(es), foundation brush and product recommendations, bronzer/blush product and brush recommendations, and general advice for the order to apply all of these products! Thank you.
I am doing my makeup in the morning and looks great but once i go to my car and turns red on... here is my routine.. I do not know what im doing wrong. this happens to me with every single foundation... PLEASE HELP!
Don't kill me but I hate washing my face! How effective are the makeup remover cleansing cloths? Specifically I use Neutrogena but I'm wondering the effectiveness of them in general too? Is sephora's better since they are not specific to makeup removal?
Recently, I got a makeover at one of the counters, and LOVED IT! However, within about 15 min, the eyeliner used on my waterline (Urban Decay) had somehow smudged onto my contacts. I must have looked crazy going around the mall with super squinty eyes and asking for directions to a place where they sold contact solution...heehee.... Anyways, I was wondering: What is the best eyeliner for waterlines--one that won't smudge onto contacts? Also, black, nude, or white for the color? <3 thanks!
I have extremely oily skin in my T-Zone as well. I literally have tried The Becca Ever Matte Primer, MUFE Mat Velvet +, Nars the Matte foundation, I've tried almost all of the oil-free and oily skin drugstore foundations. I need some serious advice... Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I have to powder within 1-2 hours of applying my makeup. Also, I have acne prone skin, and I feel like giving up. Please, help a girl out!
Nvm, its already up!! http://www.sephora.com/hd-pressed-powder-P384068?s kuId=1567312 I recently got an email that MUFE is launching a pressed version of their loose hd, and am really excited! i don't carry any makeup but this may be worth it. any idea when its set to arrive at sephora online?

What is the best make-up colors and brands for a teenager with porcelain pale skin, red hair, and blue eyes. She usually wears her make-up light and she likes easy and quick application make-up. She doesn't have any skin issues that I know of. I am new to this site and do not know a lot about make-up so all advice is appreciated. Thanks so much!
I have been using the Tinted Beauty Balm (in Snow Glow) from Too Faced, and I have really liked it. I have also recently bought the Nars pressed powder (in Flesh) and like that a lot as well. Now I am out of Beauty Balm and I am wondering whether I should repurchase or try the Nars Tinted Moisturizer with the pressed powder. I am looking for light coverage that will even out my skin tone without looking cakey or irritating my sensitive skin. What are the pros/cons of each? Which one would you recommend? If I go for Nars, which shade will best match my fair skin?
This winter my under eye's have been very dry. Currently i am using Origin's Ginzeng eye cream in the morning but through out the day, my under eyes gets very dry. I am looking for a suggestion of a good eye cream that is hydrating and it will help with my dryness. Thank you
Is there really such a thing as "curling" mascara? I have tried NUMEROUS mascaras and have been using Urban Decay's Supercurl Curling mascara, which seems to be working pretty well with curled lashes. In the past, even when I curled my lashes with a curler that I heated with the hair dryer, when the mascara was applied my lashes went straighter!! Is there some trick that I'm missing? I have black, pretty thick, but straight lashes. thanks for your help, MamaCa
Anyone know what Maracuja Concealer shade i would get if I wear Medium Sand by Tarte's Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation SPF 15? Light medium? Medium? I'm 3Y07. I like tarte's stances on no animal testing and not adding harsh ingredients that's why I wanna stick with this brand Thanks and here's a bunny
I have lines under my eyes...deep set so they are very noticeable. Anytime I wear concealer it inevitably creases. What powder can I use to set the concealer bc my concealers, no matter how good they are at covering, fade quickly. Something super finely milled bc then it will settle into my lines and look 100x worse and cakey!
Help please! I am looking for another one of the give me more lip sets. I purchased one (the smaller one for $25 i believe) in October and I loveeee it and I would like to get another for my friend for Christmas. I feel stupid for not buying it sooner. Does anyone know if they'll be getting more in stock??
I purchased something recently in Sephora and the girl gave me a new red card instead of the silverr VIB one I had since I told her I never received my new card since getting upgraded to the highest level. I noticed that the item I bought, plus another item I had purchased a different day didn't get added to my purchase list on my online account. I also noticed I did not get the points for my purchased items as well. Is there a way you can activate the new card I had received since it seems it is not working?
I ordered from sephora 9th times in the last 3 weeks and it always appears as in progress and after that cancel and i got message from my bank says Successful Payment. why did Sephora cancel my order for the 9th time and charge me for my order? my money is gone for the 9th time, are you serious!! I'm very upset i want a refund and an explanation.
Hello all, new person here looking for some advice on where to start. From as far back as I can remember, I have been utterly clueless about makeup, skincare, beauty in general. I think I must've missed that secret class that beautiful girls get where they learn how to pick shades and do all that wizardry. Seriously—the first makeup I got as a kid I used to make incredibly realistic bruises on myself. So... let's just say I am clueless, but I want to start somewhere! The few products I have used have never really felt right on my skin, or looked right (and I know, it's got to be like painting, practice, practice, practice) but I haven't worn actual makeup since I went to a wedding in early 2012. I feel like I have very dry skin that doesn't like having anything on it, it feels tight in the mornings even after I slap some lotion on it, and it gets red for a bit before it calms down. I think I've mostly tried mineral makeup because long ago some consultant somewhere told me it was good for the skin, but I honestly have no idea. It's not like I go anywhere fancy, I just want to have the option of dressing it up a bit without looking like a complete dork or dropout from clown college. Could some of you point me in the right direction for products to try? For a starter newbie kit to have in my drawer? I am going to assume that all of the makeup I currently own should be thrown out at this point, if it's older than, what, two years? Where do I even start? Help!
