I'm not a big powder anything fan, but I've recently started setting my undereye area with the KVD brightening powder. My main issue is that I don't have a good powder brush, and I can't really afford the pricey ones. Can someone please recommend good brushes for setting powder, mostly under the eyes, that won't break the bank? I can't fork out $30+ for a single brush
How I should clean liquid/cream makeup in an open pot? Makeup like the Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer, Marc Jacobs Re(Marc)able Full Cover Concealer, Becca Ultimate Coverage Concealer for example. I apply it with my fingers so germs and bacteria probably build up. Do I spray some rubbing alcohol in it? Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything online on how to clean liquid makeup with this packaging but I really want to make my makeup last! Please help!
I have huge pores everytime I try foundation my face looks cakey because of the textured skin. Foundation embraces my pores and that's why I don't wear makeup because it looks bad. What can I do so my pores won't look huge and textured skin won't look bad my main problem are huge pores. What's the best primer and foundation for this?
I have had a large red spot on my cheek for years now. It never changes, it's not acne, a cyst, or anything like that. I think it's just a large red freckle, as weird as that sounds. I use retinol and it does not lessen the spot. Any recommendations? My skin is combination and occasionally sensitive. Pic attached.
Hi guys, I'm doing my sister's makeup for her graduation. We want her to wear foundation because she has acne-prone skin, yet she hates the feeling of foundation on her skin. As an example, she used to own the Armani Luminous Silk and never uses it. Can anyone recommend a full coverage foundation that is very lightweight?
The foundation i wore in the winter now makes me face super oily in the texas heat. I like a semi dewy, natural, finish but i hate my face looking like an oil slick! Does anyone suggest a good light to medium coverage foundation that keeps my slightly dewy looking, but doesn't make my skin so oily during the heat of the day?
I'm thinking of buying 2-3 foundation that is quite full coverage to cover blemishes, not clogging, natural finish, looks great in real life and photos, doesn't cake up around the nose or dry patches. I know i'm asking for the impossible but I hope there is one close to what I want 😅 I have combination skin, my t-zone area extremely oily but still have dry patches. I also would like to ask for shade recommendation too if possible ( NC 30-35, my foundation match is MUFE Y325) I'm thinking of buying : -Giorgio Armani (does it cover blemishes and not look too oily by the end of the day?) I consider buying it with Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Enhancer, but my main concern is do they hold up oils because with my MUFE Ultra Hd I get quite oily by midday. -Estee Lauder Double Wear (do they have flashbacks?) -Urban Decay All Nighter (do they oxidize?) -Too Faced Born This Way (I heard this separates on oily skin) -Hourglass Vanish foundation stick (they're only 0.25oz I think, seems so little product) -Nars All Day and Sheer Glow -Marc Jacobs Remarcable.
I have used the smashbox under eye primer and I have just started using the Becca under eye primer. But, my hollowness is still appearing under the corner of my eye closest to my nose. I'm thinking this is more of a night primping solution. Has this happened to anyone else? Open to all options!
Hi everyone! Lately I've noticed that my foundation is separating and looking extra patchy throughout the day. I currently use Revlon ColorStay foundation for combo/oily skin and Maybelline's Fit Me concealer. I'm curious if whether my foundation and concealer aren't meshing well together? I really like the Fit Me concealer. Also, I know you're supposed to use silicone-based primers and foundation together and water-based products together. But what about moisturizers? I currently use the Celestial moisturizer by Lush. It's main ingredients are vanilla water and almond oil, so I'm not sure if that's technically oil-based or-water based. Could that be affecting the foundation separating throughout the day? Any advice would be appreciated!
It's almost Friday so I figured we could start the almost-weekend with a fun question! I have the slightest feeling we will get a lot of great answers for this one
If you could create your ultimate dream box of deluxe samples what would be inside?
Can't wait to hear your ideas!
I got a sample of the Sunday Riley Good Genes and it is AMAZING. I have never found a product to reduce the redness in my cheeks (that are splotchy and weird) and keep my face so firm and fresh yet the price sucks. If worse comes to worse, I will probably cave and buy this product but I cant believe it is so expensive. I hope someone has a good alternative! Ive tried the Alpha Beta Peel Extra Strength from Dr. Dennis Gross & really like that as well but havent used it in a while. I have the sensitive version but maybe should just switch back to those? I almost feel like buying Good Genes might be more cost effective since the Dennis Gross is still pricey (ish).
I bought the Nars Cream Concealer in creeme bule and its their most pink out of the light ones but its still too dark and WAY too yellow for me. I mix it with the Kat Von D white out concealor to make it lighter but its still much too yellow. Please help Also I prefer creamy-er ones than the Kat one
I am currently using Urban Decay's All Nighter Liquid Foundation in the shade 7.75. I want to try KVD's Lock-It Foundation but I don't know my shade. I sadly can not go to a Sephora store and get matched as the closest Sephora store is a few hours away. I know I won't get an exact match online but I want different opinions. Someone please help! Thank you. xx
Hello everyone I need some expert advice. I recently bought the better than sex waterproof mascara and found it to smudge on the back of my eyelids after an hour of wearing it. I have oily eyelids and I would just like a mascara that would not leave marks or smudging but I'd rather just buy one item. So if anyone has any personal experience of a good staying power mascara that will not smudge I would really appreciate it. I know there is the option of using a primer for the eyelids but I'd rather just buy a mascara....please help!
Hi, so I am just starting to wear makeup and have no previous experience. I am almost 14 and I was wondering what the normal makeup procedures and things I need to know are. I was also wondering what products I should purchase and how to use them. Thanks!
Hello! Im starting to notice some loss of smoothness in the outer corners of my eyelids. Its suddenly harder to get eyeliner on, they arent as smooth. Id like to find some evening night cream to combat that and other signs of aging. Im turning 30 this year. I use the origins ginzing during the refreshing eye cream in the morning and love it. Any ideas?

Hello, I have red hair, blue eyes, and very fair skin (Nars Mont Blanc, Laura Mercier Tender Rose, Bobbi Brown Porceline). I love how Nars' matte lip pencil Pssy Control looks but I am having a hard time matching cheeks and eyes to the color. Any advice?
Hi all, I have the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation in the shade 3N2 Wheat and have never purchased Urban Decay Makeup. Does anyone who wears Double Wear in 3N2 know the shade for Urban Decays All Nighter foundation? thanks
my second question here because I need good advice I have always had a chubby/baby face my whole life. I want to slime it down. Has anyone tried anything that isn't too cakey or muddy? i like a good contour that isn't very makeup-y I guess you could say.
Hi everyone! I am looking for a a foundation that is light weight. I would like a foundation that is natural for everyday but can also be nice for nights out. Here are some other things I would look for: - Good for oily/combo skin. I get oily in my t-zone but a foundation too matte can cause me to get dry patches. - not to thick so it can be applied with hands. (I've been using my hands recently compared to a beauty blender or brush, i love the natural look it gives) Again just something not heavy or think or cakey. But works with what I want above. Not something too moisturizing and not something too matte
