Hey everyone! I've been looking for a foundation - I got matched instore to Nars luminous all day in Mont Blanc (2Y02), but I have fairly dry areas on my normal skin so I wanted a more dewy/satin or glowy foundation. I absolutely don't want matte! My question is, do you think the sheer glow in mont blanc is the same shade as luminous mont blanc? Plus, what is the best/most dewy/radiant/hydrating foundation out there? Thanks! <3 <3 <3
I'm a beginner in foundation, I do currently own the covergirl liquid foundation but I feel as if I need a powder foundation to set it? Do I use liquid foundation and then powder foundation or just powder foundation on its own? I need major help this is so overwhelming. Follow up question. I have oily-combination skin, so what is the best option for me with foundations?
I have the cream contour from Anastasia in light and im not sure how I should set it. Ive seen people set it with contour and highlighting powder but it seems to me that that's just contouring twice. I personally don't need my face to look that chiseled and am going for a more natural look. Preferably matte. Should I just be setting it with a setting spray? I have a matte finishing spray from NYX and also the MAC fixing spray. Or should I purchase a translucent setting powder to set my contour? Help!! xoxo
Highlighters and contouring are the talk of the season. I wanted to start a thread where everyone can list their skintone and highlighters they own/like for different occasions. It could be a useful resource for anyone looking for highlighters. Are you guys in? I will start. Skintone: Medium/ Mac NC30ish Highlighter Liquid- Becca Opal (Love it, most used), Benefit high beam (too light, good for fairer skintone) Cream- Benefit Watts Up (Good match, don't use it often) Powder- Kevin aucoin celestial powder in candlelight (Love it, most used)
Currently debating between Tarte Brazilliance vs. St. Tropez (Self-tanners). I have never self-tanned before, and I am extremely pale. My main concern is not looking orange and price. Main question: Can St. Tropez be applied to the face? If not, that will be the deal breaker for me as I cannot afford to go buy an additional face-tanner for $30. I know St. Tropez Dark would probably be the best color option because of the green color-guard base but the face application is still an issue. Thanks!
I just bought the new eyelash curler for round eyes on here. Anyone else try it and have tips? It was super weird so I feel like I'm missing a technique to use the gadget or I don't really have round eyes...
I was hoping you guys would know. I contacted Bobbi brown about where they get their squalane source for their moisturizers, like their eye cream, and they haven't gotten back to me for several weeks now. I'm really hoping they don't source it from shark liver....
I am 40 and have dry skin and fine lines/wrinkles. I am looking for a foundation that won't make me look more wrinkly and dry than I already do. Any suggestions for a foundation that will provide coverage without drying out my skin?
I'm looking for any information about the best brands and colors, I have very fair skin and brown eyes, to wear when having professional photos are being taken as I will be having engagement pictures being taken soon, I normally wear very little makeup and stick to neutral colors. I almost never wear lipstick/color as I can never find one that isn't sticky/clumpy or needs to be reapplied after an hour. Any input/opinions will be helpful!
I am on the primer hunt and I would love opinions! I need a face primer for very combination skin. I tried a sample of the Hourglass primer but I can't decide if I want to spend so much on it unless it is worth it. I am also looking for a good eye primer for oily hooded lids. I can't decide if I want the MAC 24 hr eye base or the Nars eye primer.
which tarte blushes and lipsticks would look good for my skintone (I'm a 1y11 Tahoe in Nars) also any recommendations for some nude and colorful lipsticks from other brands that would look good but not to bold.
I have a few questions about the sticks are they good for everyday use and Is the bronze shade better than just using a regular bronzing powder and what should I use to blend out the color beauty blender
How should makeup be properly removed? I don't want to over cleansed my face. I just want to make sure I'm removing all my makeup properly and that my skin isn't congested. Right now I use neutrogena face cleanser to remove my foundation and eyeliner I don't really wear eye shadow. Then bosica facial cleansing gel to clean my face then I use to derma e moisturizer. I don't think the neutrogena is really getting all the dirt and makeup up. I have dry skin
Hey Fellow Makeup Lovers, I am a teen and I am looking for a medium coverage foundation. I need something that will stay all day, cover some light discoloration, and any acne breakouts if I need it to. I have been looking at the Tarte 12 hour full coverage foundation, but i think that might be to heavy and thick for me. The other foundation i have been looking at is the Urban Decay Naked Skin, but I don't know how well that will cover my lighter discoloration. Thanks so much for any replies! xoxo micayla
I have been thinking about buying the hourglass ambient lighting palette for overall glow to my face. I am also hearing great things about Guerlain Meteorites compact and now am confused. I need help from you ladies which is a better option? Thanks!
I'm so tired of looking odd. I used to have very prominent eyebrows but over the past 3 years I've been ill and have lost them completely. Please recommend something easy to use and natural looking. I've tried so many pencils that always rub off and look odd due to color and application. I have light brunette hair but my eyebrows always were darker. I'm embarrassed to go in public and it's hard on my self esteem. Please help. I also have no idea how to apply to look natural.
I've been having so much trouble finding a moisturizer to wear during the day underneath my makeup. It seems that everything I try either dries out my skin, or is too thick and doesn't mix well with/allow my makeup to go on smoothly (the moisturizer balls up and flakes off my skin?) I've been very interested in trying Nude's ProGenius Milk, but would like to use it as a substitute for moisturizer underneath my primer and makeup. I'm wondering if this product is moisturizing enough to stand alone, or if it would require using a moisturizer on top of it as well? If it helps, for reference, I use: Smashbox Photofinish Primer Light Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Liquid Makeup Estee Lauder Double Wear Perfecting Loose Powder Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi y'all, happy Friday! I got a sample of the Bobbi Brown BB cream in Light, and really like the formula, but I'm not sure if its a tad too dark for me and I should go for the Extra Light instead. Here is a photo of me in natural light wearing the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in shade 3. Should I go buy the BB cream in Light, or Extra Light? TIA & have a great weekend!!
I turn 26 next month and I have extremely sensitive skin (I was diagnosed in 2013 with a form of dermatitis). Basically if I put something on my skin or eat something wrong my body lets me know with-in 24 hours with hives and blisters. I have been using Origins face wash/Skin Care line, for several years now and am noticing that my skin is beginning to look rough and uneven. It feels really uneven too (feels like acne under my skin), my skin is also looking dull. I have had great luck with the Boscia line of products, I use the moisturizer under my make up and the make up break-up, cooling oil. Both work great, does Boscia have something I can use for on the days I have no make up on and just need a really good cleanser, especially one I can throw in my bag and wash my face with after I work out in between my classes?
Hello - I am looking for a mascara that does not smudge or flake. I just returned Too Faced Lash Injection and Urban Decay Perversion. I exchanged it for Buxom lash mascara which I have on now and it smudged as well. I have Too Faced Better Than Sex and that smudge and flakes (although I love that mascara). Please help! Thank you
I've heard from multiple sources that Sephora will take back ANY product (regardless of when you bought it) they still carry in stores! I'm not really concerned on wether i'll get my money back or i'll just get store credit but is this true?
