I was wondering what people think of powder and liquid eye-shadows. Which is better? If you use liquid eye-shadow do you use liquid eyeliner? What are your thoughts on these eye-shadow? I am not sure what I want to do. Don't want to look like a clown. Thanks a bunch
I just discovered that greige eyeshadows compliment my green eyes and auburn hair light skin ! DESPERATELY seeking help in putting combos together, please include brands and shade names because i absolutely suck at putting looks together ! Ty to all who reply !
Im looking for any easy application that won't irritate my eyes. I currently use Mac and the base primer irritates my eyes. I need something natural but can make my eyes pop as well for someone in their 40's. Please advise......
Do you recommend to use components ( cleanser, toner, day and night cream) from the same line in skin care regimen for better synergy of the active ingredients, or do you find more typical to mix it up to better customize and tailor to specific needs? Thank you!
Hey girls, So I am running low on the foil packet samples of the Amore Pacific Natural Protector sunscreen. I had got them as part of my skincare routine and I have found that they don't carry it in Canada. I don't honestly want to purchase it online and would like to consider a sunscreen option that is a dupe of this ?. The price is also a bit much as well but it's not the biggest deal. What I love the most about it is that it helps control oil/sweat although I do hear it can oxidize foundation/tinted moisturizer. So if anyone knows of a dupe option for this product that can be found in Canadian stores please let me know.
Hello I have heard so many good things about the reformulated BB skin foundation stick & would like to try it but I don't know what color I need. I was skin IQ matched in Sepohora with 1R09, but the product doesn't come up when I try to find my matches. Can anyone help me? Like I said I was matched 1R09, wear UD Naked Fluid in 7.5 & BM Ready in Golden Tan (which is a bit light). While I LOVE the UD, I'm wanting something a bit more portable & easier to use for an upcoming trip to the UK.
I have begun trying to contour my cheekbones and nose as I have recently really gotten into make up . I have all the supplies necessary including Sephora's great contour brush set. My nose contouring looks great, making my nose look long and thin. However my cheekbone contouring typically looks like I did nothing or just a stripe of dark color that does not look like a shade. Any advise on how to get a noticeable difference without feeling like I have a huge stripe on my face?
I was recently allergy tested at my allergy dr. They did the patch test (true test) where they put the patches on your back. I tested positive for parabens, fragrances & balsam of peru. Those things are in practically everything!! Luckily I'm not terribly symptomatic. I was mainly wanting to find out what face skincare/cosmetics ingredients I may be allergic to, since I've been keeping a log of potential problem ingredients. My skin is acne prone and sensitive. It has a tendency to get red and irritated looking (which I thought was just due to acne, but now know that allergies may be playing a role too). I don't really use skin lotions (aside from sunscreen), body butters, etc. I'll wear fragrances/perfumes every so often, and haven't noticed any reactions. I use hand cream somewhat frequently and every so often I'll get a rash, but it isn't too often. My question is, how closely should I adhere to not using products with parabens, fragrances, & balsam of peru?? I'm thinking I should just avoid certain products if I notice a reaction on my body. But for my face, maybe I should completely avoid those ingredients? What about shampoos & hair products? My scalp doesn't really get itchy, but I do tend to notice my hair falls out pretty easily. Could that be due to an allergic reaction? Isn't fragrance in almost all high-quality shampoos?? Any help is appreciated! Thank you!
Do any of you know what a good product is that I could use to combine with my Smashbox Liquid Halo Foundation to help give a little more coverage on my forehead and around my nose? I have my MUFE Full Cover Concealer that I love to use on my zits but I need something to cover those other spots that need extra coverage. I also want something that helps me to achieve a natural flawless looking face. Thanx xoxo
Hi, I am 28 (almost 29) years old, with dry skin (but not peeling). So far I have used the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer and the Clinique All about eyes cream, and I am not impressed. I need something that moisturizes better, but is more natural, with less harsh ingredients. I am looking for a moisturizer and an eye cream. Possibly a face wash suggestion as well (I have used Clinique and Origins "Check and Balances" and both are super drying). I was looking at Tarte's Maracuja Oil, but not sure if it is right for my. And will it be enough instead an eye cream, or I need more? Just to mentioned, my skin is not that sensitive, have a little fine lines around my eyes, no acne. Thanks
Has anyone ever woken up with an extra fold on their eye? It happened to me this morning and just looking at it bothers me. I have a normal fold in my crease but now I have another fold that goes half way.
Hi y'all! So I'm 27and want to update my night time skincare routine to include anti-aging products, but don't know where to start. I've heard that retinols are really good for anti-aging, but don't know which is best for my skin type. I have oily (but dehydrated) acne prone skin. My current night time routine is: Fresh Soy Face Cleanser with Clarisonic Mia; Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner, DDF Salycilic Acid Acne Treatment, Peter Thomas Roth VIZ-1000 Hyaluronic Acid Serum, Michael Todd Intensive Organic Eye Treatment with they Eye-o-Sonic, then JM Argan Oil. I got samples of the Fresh Black Tea Age Delay Moisturizer and eye creams to try out, but haven't gotten to it yet. Any suggestions for what to replace or keep? TIA!! Rachel
I love me some nude lipsticks, It is hard to find the perfect nude for darker skin color. I am tan to dark, and my shade in the MUFE duo mat is 214 ( dark beige). Can have some nude liptsick suggestion?
I am used to seeing these "fan style" brushes at the Art and Craft store and I keep being told Ishould get one and use it. But I really do not know what it does, how to use it, and at what point of face, or well...anything, can someone explain, please?
I'm thinking about getting the Vita Liberata Phenomenal 2-3 week Tan Mousse but I'm unsure of what color to get. I'm debating between the medium and dark. I'm pretty fair skinned (MAC NW20 and 1C1 in Estee Lauder) so I don't want to go too dark and look crazy but I want to definitely look tan. You can see my skin color in my avatar if that helps. Does anyone use this and know just how dark the dark color is? It's pricey so I'm afraid to buy the medium color and it be just a hint of tan and feel like I wasted my money. However, I don't want to buy the dark and look ridiculous.
I need some truly expert advice. I'm 39 and am starting to get fine lines. My make up seems to accentuate them. I was told to try a primer with my foundation, so I did. It looks great on the areas of my face where I don't have laugh lines or crows feet and fine lines (below my bottom lashes). I had always used a translucent powder as part of my make up procedure, but I feel that just magnifies my fine line issues further ( looks great until I smile). I also have to be a little careful as I tend to be a little acne prone from time to time, not excessively though. It seems wrong to have wrinkles and occasional acne at the same time. Is anybody else having this transitional issue from younger to older skin? Is there any professional advice for my concerns?
