I've recently invested in a skincare routine, after years of never really using anything. I'm 27, and around 23-24 I started breaking out a ton! I have acne scars and combo oily skin. These are the products that II purchased: philosophy pure mattness cleaner, shiiseido pureness toner, camu camu vitamins c serum, OTC acne cream, korres yogurt moisturizer, and Lancôme visionarire. Can someone put these in the correct order for use? Also, should I add anything?
Is there any product that can help clear acne scars on my back? They make me incredibly self-conscious and I honestly didn't go to the beach this summer because of them. The scars are spread all over my back and are a darkish brown color and I would love to hear advice or recommendations from anyone that has also experienced this. Thank you!
I was given a sample of each one. It wasn't a lot, I'm guessing due to how expensive the products are. I loved both but didn't have enough to wear over several days. Was hoping someone/everyone can give me their thought, opinions, and likes/dislikes regarding the two. I need to make a decision before my $20 VIB coupon expires on December 16th. Thanks in advance!
I have been using Kate Somerville Deep Tissue Repair for several years. I love how hydrating and masking it is of wrinkles. However, I can no longer afford to pay $150 for it. I'm looking for an alternative, something anti-aging (reducing bags/wrinkles) and hydrating, that can be used also on eyelids. If anyone one has any cheaper suggestions, I'd be very grateful. Thanks ladies
I am 43. I have used MAC Studio Fix for years as I have oily skin and large pores. Now I have wrinkles as well and I feel the Studio Fix is getting cakey on my skin. Any other recommendations for a foundation that has light/moderate coverage (to cover redness and spots) but won't look thick and cakey on an oily, old face with large pores? Thanks!!
I feel silly asking this question but....how would you use Josie Maran matchmaker foundation and Josie Maran argan illuminizer? Would you use the illuminizer, let dry and use the foundation? Thanks in advance for the advice!
I have medium beige skin tone and I also have oily skin. I've always liked makeup and since I am getting older I'm more serious about it.. I am very new with blushes, concealers, primers, and foundations...Could and would you please recommend me too what products and color works best for my skin tone. Thank You..
I am using Dermablend cover cream foundation. It's a very thick cream foundation. I want to find a good foundation brush that is a good size. I have the average size brush that I think just about everyone has and it's just too small and doesn't work well with the cream foundation. Please help me someone... Oh and I can't spend more 35$ on a brush. Any advice
Hi, I would like a restart on my beauty products - from skin care to make-up. I am almost 40 and need to start using some products to help hide/repair aging and wrinkles, etc... plus just also want/need new makeup. Can you give me an idea of how much it would cost to get this kind of set up?
I'm looking for either a new foundation or a tinted moisturizer. I have oily skin, but because of my acne treatments, it is drying out and is very sensitive! It is extremely frustrating to attempt to combat acne, but still effectively cover it when areas begin to get dry and red. I have fair skin with pink undertones, I believe. I'm not sure which direction to go in.
I am going to the Caribbeans with my boyfriend in a little more than a month. In anticipation of sunny beach days, I would like to add extra sun protection to my normal routine. My current everyday bare-bone routine includes: Murad Hydrating Toner FAB ultra repair cream Clinique CC cream Benefit Watts Up or Stay Don't Stray (depends on the my mood, to cover up my under eye shadows) Bare Minerals original mineral veil Bare Minerals Faux Tan The Clinique CC cream is only SPF 30 and the Skinceuticals tinted sunscreen that I wanted to add is SPF 50. Should I add the sunscreen before the CC cream or after the CC cream? Occasionally when I have the extra time, I do add apply a primer before I put on the CC cream. If I do use the primer, should the sunscreen come before or after the primer? Currently still debating on a primer. I am leaning heavily towards the Hourglass veil mineral primer, but I am playing with the Hourglass No. 28 primer and other Benefit options. Sorry for the wall of text. I would really like to know what you ladies think.
Currently I wear CG 3 in 1 foundation in Neutral Beige and MAC concealer in NW20. I have light/medium (a little more on the med side) skin with a yellow undertone, blue eyes and dark brown hair. What color would best suit my skin tone in Kat Von D lock it foundation?
Ok. I need a NEW makeover. Please make more feminine/girly and new. I have brown hair, hazel eyes and light color skin. I'm on the left. Couldn't find a better picture. Also what would you do with my hair (cut/style)?? I don't have bangs anymore. Please help me!? I really need help badly... (pictures would help some)
I know some of the YouTube gurus have had the same issues with this pressed powder, and while I think I like it, Im not even that sure I'm getting much on my face. It seems the brush is transferring some if the foundation back to the powder and creating a film...it's kind of gross. I can't just use one swipe to do my entire face, so I basically need to put my brush back in the product. I have a photo to see what you all think...should I return it or what?
I use Argan oil everyy day and yet the dry patches on my forehead have not improved. I even moisterize every day. I want to use a mask but I'm afraid of overdrying my face even more. Can anyone recommend a face mask to help get rid of flaky skin?My nose is a weird rough texture as well :/ I've tried the Origins 10 min moisture mask and I dont like it at all! Its more greasy than moisterizing.
I'm looking for a good oil-free moisturizer for my acne prone skin. I've tried Kate Somervile Oil-free moisturizer and Origins Planscription SPF 25 in oil-free but both made me feel greasy. I used Origins Checks and Balances, United State, Dermadoctor Aint Misbehavin Serum. Do moisturizers with the SPF in them tend be be greasier?
I am currently a Beauty Insider and I need to spend about $150 to reach VIB. Do I need to spend the $150 by January in order to reach VIB for the following year? The dates confuse me so I am not sure if my points towards VIB completely reset in January.
I currently wear Givenchy Photo'Perfexion Fluid Foundation SPF 20 PA+++ in 4 Perfect Vanilla, but would like purchase Givenchy Teint Couture Long-Wearing Fluid Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20. What shade is the correct color to choose?
I have combo skin and live in cold/ dry wisconsin. I just startEd using benefits some kind of wonderful and love the coverage but my skin is getting dry and startling to look flaky. Is this not the right product for me? I want a more dewy look....suggestions?
I am trying to decide between NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and Lancôme Effacenes under eye concealer. I hear good things about both. I have pretty dark circles under my eyes and am light to medium olive skin tones. Any suggestions? I've asked about concealers in the past but, have narrowed it down to these two! I have used the Lancôme before in beige. It wasn't great, I am thinking of buying it in Claire II this time hoping it works better! I am not familiar with the NARS at all and could use some input on product and color. Thank you so much!!
I've been hearing a lot of buzz over face oils so I've been meaning to give it a try. Currently deciding between... Josie Maran Argan Oil Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil Tarte Maracuja Oil Has anyone tried any of the three? Pros? Cons?
Okay, after doing a lot of research, I have narrowed down concealers and bronzers. For concealers I am torn between Lancôme Maquicomplet and NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. Does anyone have any input, I have fairly dark circles under my eyes? As for bronzers, I am looking at the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil and the Cover FX Bronzer. I have heard good things about both, help? Thank you!
I currently use Lancome's Dual Finish Foundation in Matte Porcelaine I, and I'd like to try another shade in it or another powder formula in just a tiny bit darker. Same undertones, just a bit darker. (Truthfully, I don't want to change off the DF formula because it's so amazing, but...) Ready...go!
Has anyone used it and is it worth $200? My teeth are slightly yellow and I am not sure if it is from wine, coffee and cokes...or just the color of my teeth.... Also, can you share this??? Could my husband use this too? Maybe I could get it for him for Christmas (but really a Christmas present for me...sneaky sneaky...)!
