Please help me look better
I am 55 years old. I have some acne scars & pores. I have combination skin. It starts off dry , by end of day very oily. I love the smashbox pore minimizer . I use that and the tarte blush (peach color) but my skin still always looks so dull. I have brown hair, brown eyes, and very fair skin. I do no like to wear alot of makeup but nothing seems to cover my scars. I have used the laura mercer tinted moisturizer in the past which goes on nice but by the end of the day I am very oily. I want to keep using the pore minimizer but need something more...possibly a powder that goes on fine, not cakey , that will look natural and will not be oily. I know I cannot look 30 again but I feel so old and dull looking. Thanks. Debbie

Bareminerals foundation and blush color

Advice on skin type cleanser
I've never really understood what kind of skin I have but I know it's a mess, I guess it's some sort of combination skin. Oily on the nose and between the eyes and quite dry on the cheeks. I have large pores on the nose tip and on the cheeks close to the nose area, on those same areas it is also a bit red but I'm not sure if it's because of the large pores? To top it up, my skin is never flawless, I always have some kind of pimple and red dots, even if small, somewhere on my face. I'm using mia2 with the clarisonic pore reducing cleanser, thinking big pores were my main problem. I'm starting to notice that after I've used the mia2 with that cleanser my skin peels off all over my cheeks, the tonic I use afterwards does remove those pellicles but I was just wondering if that meant that I need to use another cleanser? Or is that supposed to make my skin peel off? I hope this isn't too much of a dumb question, I'm really lost when identifiyng which products would be best for my skin type.  Thanks in advance for any advice!

Beauty Bible
Sophie Uliano was recently featured on television, where she shared several tips and advice about makeup and nutrition.  She wrote a book entitled: Gorgeous for Good .  Since it's so new, my library didn't have it--but I requested for them to purchase it, and they did!  I'm currently reading it, and all I can say is WOW!  This book is quite simply fabulous!  Topics in Sophie's book include: makeup (application and good vs. bad ingredients), skincare, healthy recipes, and simple exercises for every day.  I personally like her simple, flexible, and real approach to beauty and am truly inspired by all the information she shares with us.  It's not often I come across a book like this, so I just thought I would let you all know about this treasure.  It would be a wonderful addition to your collection of books (a fantastic resource), and it would make an awesome Mother's Day gift.

Custom makeover gift card

What kind of scooping tool do you use for jars?
I'm almost at the end of my Glamglow jar and I was wondering what kind of scooping tool (makeshift or store bought I don't mind) you use to scoop up the bits stuck along the sides, bottom, and edges. It's 76$ a jar and I want to get the most out of it. I've used my fingers but there's some places I can't reach. I know Sephora used to sell one, not sure if they still do and if it actually works well for that.

Foundation Flashback Question
I'm attending an event next weekend and I'm trying to figure out what foundation to wear. I find that Clinique Even Better lasts the best for me when I have to be outside in the heat, but I'm scared that it'll cause flashback in photos because it has the low SPF. Has anyone had experience with this foundation causing that? Also, does anyone have suggestions for a setting powder? My skin has began to get oily around my T-zone and I don't think my MSF Natural will hold up in the heat. Thanks!
