I am wondering how the results could possibly give me an accurate match. A foundation the color of my freckles would be just awful and one the color of my unfreckled skin would be far too pale. I prefer my foundation to get rid of any ruddiness and not cover but rather enhance. Should I even bother going to get the color IQ done?
Can you recommend a product for all over face that produces a golden shimmer (microfine glitter) that would look good with a tan? I am looking at some luminizers, but reviews say the effect is more silvery or glowing instead of sparkly. Again, I prefer a powder that is not actually a bronzer so that I cam wear it over bronzer or wear it even if I don't have a tan. Thank you
I have a very oily t-zone and sometimes acne prone skin. I use the clinique 3-step process and have been using their acne solutions foundation but lately i've realized that by the end of my school day (around 1pm) my makeup looks like its melting and i am constantly dabbing my face because it looks like i am sweating but i'm not. I don't know if this is due to my makeup or due to the fact that i don't use primer or a setting spray. What do you recommend I do?
I am looking for new products to help fade my acne scars. On my hunt for new product i found the Lemon Trip Flash Peel. Has anybody tried it or this kit that can tell me if its worth the money or if its gonna help with my scars. This set contains: - 0.5 oz Sheer Transformation™ - 0.5 oz Lemon Strip Flash Peel - 0.5 oz Truth Serum™ Collagen Booster - 1.5 oz African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser™ - 0.5 oz Pure Truth™ Youth Activating Oil
Hi everyone, I recently bought a BITE lipstick in the colour Quinta. It is a beautiful shade on me and I love how pigmented the lipstick is. It is the first lipstick I have bought and it was recommended to me by a Sephora associate. In the past I have bought Buxom lip creams, Sugar balms and some other glosses, but I wanted to dive into buying a lipstick I've worn the lipstick a few times and I have to say I'm disappointed The lipstick is really sinking into my lips (into the lines on my lips) and showing any small flakes I might have. It is winter and I live in Ottawa, Canada (god it has been so cold here this winter!), so it may be possible that my lips are a little bit dry, but it isn't anything out of the ordinary, they aren't chapped. I also put on Smith's Rosebud Salve before bed to keep them moisturized. I see that the reviews for BITE lipsticks are really positive, but I'm wondering if this is a problem I'm having with the lipstick itself or a lip problem. Is it common for all lipsticks to sink into lip lines? Is there any sort of other prep I should be doing before applying the lipstick? Any advice would be appreciated as I'm thinking of taking the lipstick back for something that may be a bit more moisturizing. Thanks
How can I diminish the fine lines under my eyes? I started noticing that I have a few lines under my eyes. Should I be using eye cream? If so, what would you recommend? I'm turning 21 this year. My skin type is combination oily. I have minor acne breakouts.
Hello! I was at the sephora store looking at the kat von D stuff, and was looking at the concealers and was told that medium 22 concealer is my color. But i forgot to ask the girl what would my foundation shade is for the kat von D foundation! HELP D:
Hi, I need a good recommendation for a powder highlighter. I have only used cream or stick highlighter/luminizers, and need to switch to a powder form. I use quite a bit of foundation and concealer to achieve "perfect" skin and it seems like my current highlighters don't layer well over foundations. I have medium-to-light skin that is yellow/olive toned I'd like something that is slightly shimmery. Thank you!
I love the Lorac concealer/highlighter but Sephora no longer has it in stock. I have semi-fair skin with yellow undertones and this is one of the only products I've found that's not too pink. Does anyone know of something comparable? I've tried bobbi brown's concealer but I don't like the size for the price.
My beloved Stila is not so chemical safe and I'm now worried about my MUFE foundation and slowly but surely switching everything over to be safer. Tarte is the closest that matches my skin tone (deathly pallor) but really seems to be just slightly too orange on my skin after an hour or so.
Hello, I am searching for a face wash for my oily/acne prone sensitive skin. I've been using Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel which I LOVE. But now I need a wash that is gentler/non-medicated (ie without salicylic acid/beta hydroxy, etc,) to use in rotation to cleanse my face that won't break it out but removes dirt/makeup. Would any one be able to help with recommendation/guidance? Thank you!
My prom is about a month away, and I want to create those beautiful, vintage finger waves. I have a good amount of experience with vintage hairstyles (mostly 1950's and 1960's dos) but I've never worked with gel or creme, and I need to use some sort of product to hold my wet hair in place or else it just won't turn out right. I have, as my Granny says, "medium-thick hair and a lot of it!" It's a little past my chin in length and stacked in the back with side swept bangs that resemble tapered layers more than bangs (the shortest layer falls just below my cheekbone when blown dry correctly). My hair is straight with a natural flip at the bottom and is silky smooth and shiny. (I know all these different factors can help determine what products would work best for me or I wouldn't waste your time on it, I promise.) Basically, I just need to know what you amazing beauty experts would suggest to hold finger waves in place in my hair. I'm trusting you with my life!
I have very oily skin, something I have learned to accept, however... I have such a hard time when it comes to wearing eye shadow. I have tried Urban Decay and Benefits but neither has worked. I always end up with a crease. I even tried putting a setting powder over my primer (and under) and nope... no success. It really bums me out when I see a great eye shadow color but all I can think about is the crease that will emerge. Any suggestions!!

Hi Everyone! My name is Jennifer and i need major advice about oily skin, still get acne, and my major problem visible pores!! (not tiny but big visible pores where i had ppl ask me if they can feel my face) it really gets to me I need HELP!!!
I'm really white with an olive skin tone & i have extreme dry sensitive skin. I spent the past year out of the sun wearing as much spf as i can and my skin has turned transparent. I live in FL and i want to start going out in the sun and getting some color but its uncomfortable being in the sun when my skin is so pale and dry it just gets irritated and red and the sun reflects off i never get any color, just sun burn & get some freckles whats the best way for me to start introducing my sensitive skin to the sun & getting some color? I'm turning 21 in june and i wanna make sure I look hot when I go to miami! lol. I'm so white you see every mark or blue veins in my thighs its such a turn off. I'm not big on self tanners after years of using them and wasting money. I put lotion on every single day and yet my skin is dry within hours. another thing is my face makeup. I get white heads and little bumps all over my t-zone, and it looks bad after an hour or two of my makeup being on, & my skin starts getting greasy in my tzone. & i get redness and uneven skin even when my make up is on, you can see the unevenness underneath. what product will help this & is effective but isnt terribly expensive. i was thinking maybe on of lancomes serums could help but im not sure whitch one. their new dream tone has been getting bad reviews. I need to smooth out my skin, hydrate & moisturize, even my complexion, get rid of breaks outs & white heads, & get some color. any tips, or products you'd recommend?
Hi! I'm in my early 20's and starting to notice wrinkles around my eyes (my skin is not very firm in general) and my very stubborn dark circles has always been a concern of mine which are really dark. And I dont want to wear a ton of make-up to cover them these days. As far as I've seen in reviews these 2 products to help dark circles fade, which is my main goal. Pleaseee help me choose!!!
