So I've been using Kat Von D in Light 44 and I've tried it with several different primers. The color match is great (I was matched at Sephora) but no matter what I do it gets very cakey on me. I've tried applying it with both a brush and a beauty blender as well but regardless it looks flawless at first but shortly after it looks very caked and clings to my smile lines. I need the fuller coverage as I tend to have some breakouts due to Endometriosis treatments and I have sucky pores as well but I'm thinking maybe the full matte is too much for my perhaps more combination skin? I guess I have an oily t-zone but not so much on the cheeks/jawline. Any primer/foundation suggestions?

Hi all! I've been loving the Luna Sleeping Oil by Sunday Riley for the last month and have definitely noticed some huge improvements in my fine lines and discoloration. However. I'm still finding myself breaking out a bit in clusters. I've heard great things about both the Artemis and U.F.O. oils from Sunday Riley and was wondering if anyone had a preference between the two. For reference, I'm about to slide into my 30s, have normal-oily skin. I wash my face daily with a Clairsonic and use the Dr. Dennis Gross Acne Eliminating Pads which have definitely been helping as well. I'm basically just looking for the last push in my skin care routine. I'm good applying morning and night and am open to any combo of suggestions. Thanks babes!
Hi everyone! I've been having serious issues with foundation/product caking up on my nose. Unlike everyone else, my problem is on my actual nose, not around it. I've always been good with washing my face with different exfoliators and cleaners. I moisturize everyday before applying my makeup. After washing my face, I moisturize, prime, apply foundation, apply concealer, apply setting powder, apply my nose contour, apply highlighter, then I use two different setting sprays for my makeup. I have pretty "normal" skin, except my nose has always been super dry. Its not flaky, just extremely dry. Recently, after about 4-5 hours after application, all the makeup on my nose cakes and appears "dotty-like". Once it gets to that point, there is no fixing it. I've tried many different application methods for the makeup on my nose and nothing seems to make a difference. My makeup on my nose always looks great in the beginning hours, then slowly just becomes so texturized and cakey. Does anyone have suggestions? Thanks!!
Hey guys! So I've been wearing makeup since 7th grade (I'm a senior in high school now) and have never really had an issue with mascara until now. Now, it seems like, if I have mascara on past 3 hours, my eyes start becoming very irritated. It does not matter if the mascara is high end or drugstore I still get irritation. I especially have an issue with Benefit's They're Real! that stuff caused irritation almost instantly. Because of this, I have began wearing false lashes, but the problem is I cannot coat my real lashes in mascara to make them blend in with the false ones. Can someone PLEASE help me choose a mascara for sensitive eyes? Under $30 would be really helpful.
I am a beginner to this whole makeup thing. I am planning on getting a card some time and I just wanted to know what it is about and how to join before I sign up. Is it really worth it ? Is it some type of membership program where you're given a credit card and we have to pay back later?
Just noticed that all of the spring stuff is showing up (early as always) but the thread is still specific to Winter (which it is...but tell the brands). So what have you found, dear BTers, that is new on Sephora...
Hi, I want to return my Naked 3 Palette, but I don't have the receipt or the box. Can I at least return it for store credit? I have proof that I bought it because it is listed on my beauty insider account.
Hi everyone! I've been trying to buy some false eyelashes since I barely have any but I have no clue what kind would look best for my eyes. I have looked online to see if I could determine my eye shape, but my eye shape doesn't seem to even be a category. I seem to be mixed between protruding and a little bit of upturned or "almond" eyes but I sincerely have no clue! What falsies can I wear that won't look bad on me? Do I need to post a picture of myself with no makeup for a better idea? I do have a profile pic set up on here but I have makeup on.
I've tried high end makeup and drugstore makeup! Changed my skin care routine and nothing! It looks so dry and patchy in some places but then it seperates and slides off in others, I have no idea what to do! Help!
Hello, I have recently been struggling to find the perfect foundation. I am going back to school soon and really want to invest in the right one. I don't necessarily have acne, but when i break out I get a few larger pimples. I don't need a ton of coverage, but would like the option to build it if my skin isn't as great one week from the next. I really only try to limit my foundation use to go out at night. My biggest dilemma- I am a sweater!! My skin isn't any more oily than average but I find myself sweating like crazy in the summer, especially during such humid times! I would love some advice on a foundation that fits these requirements!! Thanks so much, Sophie
i have dry and sensitive skin, also some redness. Does anyone know any good foundation for dry skin? i am looking for something that wont give me that dry patchy look on my face. i have the make up forever velvet foundation which is nice but still makes certain spot look patchy.
Hey guys!!! I need some serious help. I've been looking for a concealer that's light enough for me, I'm usually the lightest shade in any foundation and usually all concealers are too dark. Kat Von D has white out but it's sold out everywhere. Does anyone know when it'll be in stock??? I feel like I've been waiting forever. Does anyone know of any alternatives?
I am 24, almost 25. I am wondering, do you recommend anti-aging creams for someone my age? I want to get a headstart on wrinkles, but I do not want to damage my skin or anything by starting Retinol type products/anti-aging products at too young of an age. If you do recommend it, which type or what should I look for? Thanks!
I usually use a creme gel on my waterline but in order for it to stay on I constantly need to touch it up. Is there a gel liner you recommend that will hold up? or is it better to use a pencil/crayon type liner?
I struggle with dry, dehydrated, flaky, sensitive, redness prone skin. I also have eczema. Can anyone help me with a skin care routine? I am going insane and broke trying to find the right products. I'm looking for recommendations for a whole routine: cleanser, toner/essence, chemical exfoliants (not scrubs or polishes) treatments (serums and oils), eye cream, and finally a moisturizer.i would also appreciate mask recommendations too; as well as, any advice on how to combat constant chapped, flaky lips. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to respond. Please know, a head of time, that I am truly grateful!
I want to start wearing makeup and perfecting my makeup skills. I want to get the right brushes and the right products for my skin. I've been taking care of my skin for 7 years and have been using Nerium day and night cream for the past 10 months. I only break out in my t zone when I'm on my period and my skin isn't sensitive. I would like to know everything I can possibly know for beginners from face to eyes even skin care products. Price is important but I've been saving up to go shopping specifically for makeup this summer (which is almost over x-x) so it's not a pro lem if some items are a lil expensive.
I'm going on a very long trip in March (stay with me, I just like to plan ahead!) and I'm trying to not bring a ton of makeup. For eyeshadow, I think I either want to take a small z palette with some single shadows. I think I want a couple light/medium browns for my crease, a couple good all over lid shades, and a couple highlight shades (matte or shimmer). I prefer lights neutrals or pinks since I'm fair and I like to keep my makeup very classic and natural. I only want singles that you can buy in the pan (like MAC or Makeup Geek) since depotting is way too risky for this klutz. I'd also appreciate swatches Thanks!
Hi, I am a teenager and I have very light blonde hair and therefore eyebrows. I have been looking for an eyebrow gel that is the right colour for me for a long time with no success. I need something very natural and subtle. It also needs to be of a drugstore price and available in the UK. Thanks very much!
So I have been using Urban Decay Naked foundation because its light weight and I only need to use a little to get the job done. Unfortunately, I have been noticing lately that the foundation has been drying with a pinkish/redish tint against my skin tone which is really bad because I am naturally prone to redness on my cheeks. Which liquid foundation do you recommend for me to switch to? (Ive also tried the pressed foundation powder from Laura Mercier which worked for a while until it started clumping and getting weird textured appearance on my skin throughout the day (I have combination/oily skin)) PLEASE HELP!
