I have extremely sensitive skin. I don't know exactly what I'm allergic to- but things with fragrance seem to irritate my skin. The doctor told me to take shorter showers, warm temp etc because I was peeling too much of my natural body oils off. For right now, I just want to focus on my body and not my face. I need a recommendation that will mimic the body's natural oils. Price range doesn't matter. Would like it to be reasonably priced because I will be needing a lot of it to restore my skin.
I am getting married this month (July) and I am looking for recommendations for makeup that will last all day without sweating or smearing off. I will be starting my pictures around 12:30 noon so hair and makeup will begin at 9:00am. Our ceremony will be outside weather permitting and won't start until 5:30pm. We plan to celebrate with lots of dancing and go until 2am the next morning. I would love to find primer, foundation, and setting spray that will keep my makeup looking great as long as possible. I am also looking for good bronzer and gold tone eyeshadow recommendations. Please help
I was looking to buy a new foundation and just realized that Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Foundation 's price differs depending on shade (possible glitch?). Other than the possibility that a certain shade sells out more is there another reason? Certain sizes of clothing sell out more at stores but it doesn't mean they charge more that size...
I know that foundation will never look like natural skin, and that some foundations are more natural looking than others. My issue is that no matter what foundation I use, I feel like I always look like I'm wearing foundation. Whether it's light, medium, or full coverage. Even when the shade is perfect. I think the biggest issue is that I have oily skin and large pores...no matter what primer or skincare I use prior to applying foundation, within a couple hours it has settled into my pores and starts sliding around my nose. I'm at the point where I feel like just saying the heck with it all and go bare faced...but I'm way to insecure. I have scarring and hyperpigmentation from a 20+ year battle with acne and I'm so self conscious about it. I know this is a beauty website, but have any of you made the leap to foundation free? I've read a lot online and most of the ladies who decided to stop wearing it have beautiful skin to begin with. I would like to hear from those of you who may have a similar skin type to mine. Thanks everyone
I have pretty dry yet acne prone skin. I was wondering if anyone could suggest either a contour kit or product they use for contouring for pale skin. To give you an idea of how pale I am I will post a picture though now I am a shade or two darker. I am looking for something cooler rather than a warm tone. Thanks
Hello, I have been having trouble with my foundation. I have very oily skin but also its dry in spots and acne prone. I cleanse my face, put on my moisturizer, and then apply my foundation "Just recently tried to use primer and didn't notice a difference" about 2 hours after putting my makeup on my foundation kind of separates and looks blotchy and cakey. I am at a loss on what to do. I have tried different moisturizers and foundations and nothing works
I have the Ciate Geltox kit and I'm running low on the cleanser, and I can't seem to find another one that works. I've tried the Formula X cleanser but this stripped the colour off my nails because of the alcohol. I need a cleanser with absolutely no alcohol in it, any suggestions?
Just noticed that all of the spring stuff is showing up (early as always) but the thread is still specific to Winter (which it is...but tell the brands). So what have you found, dear BTers, that is new on Sephora...
Hey guys! So I just started feeling comfortable wearing makeup since I don't really get pimples anymore sadly I still have a lot of acne marks which can make me feel insecure sometimes I'd love to hear your advice on how I can clear my face? Also before applying makeup I still feel like my skin isn't clean is there anything I can put on before applying makeup? Thank you xoxo
I have been hearing good things about the SK II online and from friends. However, I still have more than half left of my Sunday Riley bottles. Would it be okay to add in the SK II to my regimen? Or would it be too much for my skin and just wait till I finish SR?
Hi Beauty Insiders! My question regards the use of beauty brands and z-palettes. I've hopped on the z-palette bandwagon and have started to depot my makeup. Even with the "prying" tools and the use of the heating method, the pans can be hard to pry. My question is, what are some makeup brands that are easy to depot? As "conceited" as it sounds, my heart breaks a little when I crack the makeup I'm trying to get out. Thanks, IMAS
Hello, I've been using the Peter Thomas Roth Gentle Complexion Corrections Pads for quite some time now. I noticed a month or two ago that they were out of stock, and now the website states that they cannot be shipped to the US. I was wondering why is this item no longer available for purchase here? and will it be again? I also noticed that Sephora stores no longer carry this product. I have had great results using the pads, and I would preferably like to continue using them as well as purchasing them through Sephora. Otherwise, what other products would you recommend that are similar? Greatly appreciate your response. Thanks
I know for normal face masks you're supposed to cleanse first then use toner, serum, moisturizer, etc. afterwards, but what about for an overnight mask? Do you just cleanse then wear the mask overnight? I feel like this is a stupid question but I never really use face masks and was wanting to try some, including overnight ones.
Hi everyone. Whenever I set my under-eye concealer with a setting powder, I swear it changes the colour of my makeup. I can finally be ready in the morning and think that my makeup looks really nice - and then as soon as I set it, my dark under-eyes come peering back through my makeup, and sometimes even the colour of my concealer seems to have changed. I have been experiencing this problem for ages with several different translucent setting powders - Tarte, Makeup forever HD setting powder, Cinema secretes, Laura Mercier (that one made my eyes itch...) - just to name a few. At first I thought I was crazy, but I have heard other people mention experiencing the same sort of thing. I've never tried using a coloured powder, because I'm really not sure what to use... I have red hair & very fair, dry skin - I don't know if that info helps? Hopefully someone will be able to help me out here! Thanks
I need some recommendations on a good body shimmer product similar to the Natasha Denona Body Glow. I want something to put on my shoulders, collarbone, chest, and legs for an evening awards banquet. I already checked past posts and most of the stuff that comes up on BT are temporary self-tanners. I want something thats more of a body highlighter that won't rub off on my clothes, and something I can either purchase from Sephora, Ulta, or local drugstores. The reason being, is so that I can return it if I don't like the product, and I also need the product ASAP since I am leaving on my fiancé's work convention in two weeks and I need the product for that trip. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
I love the color of the Sephora Collection lipliner in "pale beige", but it doesn't have anywhere near enough staying power. Are there any long-wearing lipliners (maybe one of the nars or similar) that are the same color?
Hey Beauties! I'm looking for a medium to full coverage radiant, dewy or satin foundation that is good for every skin ( I used finish an acne procedure so It has be for a normal foundation), non oily since I live in an island so the heat brings up the oil and non heavy. Any suggestions?
I have probably the worst dark circles on the planet! It's not hereditary (my mom and sister both have no dark circles) and it won't cover with any concealer. I have moisturized, color corrected, concealed with full coverage concealer, put liquid AND powder foundation over them! All that produces is a orange, cakey, disgusting look that lasts for maybe an hour or two before fading and letting my super dark (purple, brown, blue, and a little red) circles bleed through. It is insanity! So for Christmas this year, on my list, I have benefit boi-ing concealer, but I read another review that said the concealer didn't work for a girl/woman who's skin and issue sounded similar to mine. I'm not going to give up, so that's out of the question. To give an idea of what I'm looking for, I'm looking for a full coverage concealer that will cover my satanic dark circles, give some light to them, that won't fade during the day, and won't wipe off under or over foundation. I also have very pale skin (such so that I've been called a vampire because it sparkles in the sun) with cool undertones. I'm wondering if such a product exists, where I could get it, for how much, and if you have any tips for my dark circles (all would be appreciated) Thank you so much!!!!
Hey guys! I just recently washed a Morphe M527 goat hair brush (for the first time) and since I've washed it it literally smells like a goat---a barn. Help please! I don't know how to get the stench out!
Hey everyone. I have been struggling with THOUSANDS of sebaceous filaments on my nose for as long as I can remember. I have tried almost everything I can think of to clear them out and reduce the size of them. The only thing that has worked is by manually forcing them out with my fingers which really irritates my skin. And even when I do that, they're full again in the next day or two. I use a clarisonic with the deep pore head and cleanser but that hasn't worked. Plus I have VERY VERY dry skin which is constantly peeling so the deep pore cleanser definitely does not help the flakiness. Can someone please recommend something that I should try? Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? Thank yall in advance for your help!
I'm looking for a sunscreen that does not have any makeup in it. I'm going to be do laser hair treatments on my face so I can't have anything on my face but the sunscreen. I'm really pale and have super sensitive skin. I don't really go outside to much because how sensitive my skin is. I start to turn red within 10 minute's of being out side even with sunblock on. Any help would be appreciated.
I liked Clinique's Age Defense BB cream a lot, but Shade 1 was too light for me. Shade 2 doesn't work either. I have light skin with neutral/pink undertones. How does the Light shade in the Acne Solutions line and the Moisture Surge line compare? The Light in the Acne Solutions BB cream looks a little darker than Shade 1 and was wondering if that is the case when actually applied. Thanks!
