Hello. Recently I had to take a course of medicine which had the side effect of severely drying out my lips. My lips are now cracked and peeling. Please can you recommend some exfoliation beyond the standard toothbrush/washcloth level? I have tried a home made sugar scrub and that was better than nothing but I'm hoping Sephora might have a better product recommendation. I need to get these skin flags off. After they are off I can work on repair and hydration. Hydration suggestions are also welcome but that's a much easier issue to tame. Argon Oil is helping in that department. Thank you!
Hi! I have very damaged dry thick hair from bleaching it to try to get it back to my natural hair color. What is the best product to use that will get it back to its softness, less frizz, and mangeability?
Has anyone tried this yet? I noticed its finally back in stock and am deciding which shade to choose, between dark blonde and brunette. I need something warm toned, im currently using the brunette gel in ABH but i find the wand too big, and messy. I want something to lighten my brows on days when i don't feel like doing them or to add onto powder
I am a shade 3.0 in the urban decay naked liquid foundation. What shade would I be in the urban decay powder foundation? Also can I use the powder foundation as a finishing powder for the liquid foundation ? Would it look good?
i'm using nars sheer glow foundation color deauville and i wanted to try new foundation which is "tarteAmazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation" but i have trouble picking the right color, i like neutral tone
I am a 33 year old female who had plenty of acne in my adolescence and 20s and used proactiv and like products to manage it. At this point, I only get acne on my chin during that time of the month but I still use the three step systems with benzoyl peroxide. This has resulted in dry/combination and dull skin with some redness but I haven't had any breakouts. I use cetaphil at night and cetaphil moisturizer with SPF 15 in the morning after my 3 step system. I did a bunch of research but different sites recommend different cleansers so I'm even more confused. What cleanser should I be using that also helps with anti-aging?!?!?! and is a cleanser and moisturizer sufficient to keep the breakouts away?
I've purchased from several companies before, namely Sephora (I'm VIB), as well as ulta because they have a physical store fairly close to me. However, in recent months I've had problems with the customer service at Sephora. Our brick and mortar Sephora store where I live is a little farther than my Ulta store, but it's generally the place I tend to go to when I need to test a product out first. Like I said, recently I've had several problems in store with them refusing samples of products I know they have when I can see other people walking around with an armful of samples and I can't even get one. Now I've put up with this because I live in a college town, and a lot of stores have employees that just don't put up with crap, but I've been to this Sephora store several times, I know several of the workers by name, and they know I make a purchase every time I walk in the door. However, the Sephora store in my hometown (about two hours away, not in a college town) is beginning to be the same way with terrible customer service. I'm considering just leaving Sephora all together and getting my products from Nordstrom or somewhere online. Do you guys have recommendations for better companies? Where do you purchase your beauty products? I don't mind ordering things online, or in store, I don't really have a preference, I just need a company that makes me feel like a more valued customer.
Hello! I'm looking to try a new Bronzer and I'm looking for any good recommendation. I usually use powder Bronzer but every time I use any sort of powder bronzer it causes really strange patches and streaks, so I'm leaning torward something that isn't powder. I use Bronzer to contour, I have skin that is especially dry and I'm very pale. I'm in my 20's. if any other information is needed just ask! Thanks for your time, it's appreciated!
ok i used to have /use the pixi brand corrector concentrate in brightening peach. I want to get the bobbi brown corrector in a similar color because that color in the pixi worked really good. So i am asking which color would be the closest to it. If anyone had both products. Or had any suggestions on a corrector or concealer that is closest to the shade.
What do you feel about this new line?? I both the trouble-free skin kit because I really just wanted the Shiseido Buki Refining Mosturizer that won the Allure award for best moisturizer for oily skin tone. But Paula's Choice reviews are horrible. And every product I look up on that website has poor reviews for everything!! What do you think??
Hi all! I have been using the Perricone No Foundation Foundation Serum for quite some time and am coming to the end of the bottle and have thought about trying something new. The NFFS worked well for my oily skin, but it's a pain to constantly have to mix it with bronzer for the correct color, and I never get it the same way twice. Plus, I have had dry patches start appearing on my face in the past few months, which is incredibly unusual for me. I have long heard good things about the GA Maestro - any thoughts as to if this would be a good fit for me? I ususally have rather oily skin, although this winter, I have been cursed with some pretty severe dry patches (especially under my eyes, where it is dry and flaky constantly - so wierd!). I hate the feel/look of heavy makeup, but want something that lasts throughout the day. I just want my skin to look like, well, skin! Not makeup! In the winter months, I usually wear Mac NC 30, although I tan very easily (olive toned skin with yellowish undertones). Thanks!
I have used so many eye cream and under eye primers and nothing seems to work. My concealer always seems to crease or looking cake. I have been using nars creamy concealer with the banana setting powder and everyone seems to love it but me. I have extremely dry skin, but I have a good skincare regimen that I like besides a under eye cream. Any techniques or products to help??
Hi!!! I have a combination skin. My skin does break out and has a lot of blemishes, so that's why I always want to find a good foundation with medium to full coverage and does not cause break out. However it is so hard to find a right foundation or any primer for my skin. I have tried a lot of different foundations and my skin always gets super oily after two to three hours, which normally my skin is not oily at all. I am currently using the Estee Lauder- Double Wear, Dolge&Gabbana- the perfect luminous, and Chanel-perfect lumiere. Sadly, they all make me greasy There is only one time when I had a Chanel's makeup artist did my face foundation, it looked flawless and matt for the whole day. Unfortunately, I cannot do it by myself. I try to keep my base minimal by only applying the moisturizer and sometimes Hourglass primer before the foundation to avoid heavy greasy stuff on my face. So do you have any suggestion?
Hello. I would like to try the Giorgio Armani foundations. My local sephora doesn't have the line in stock to test so I"m going to order on line. Can you help me choose the best shade? I currently am using a blend of : YSL Top Secrets All In One BB Cream in "Clear" (which is a perfect colour match for my skin and disappears right in, just gorgeous) mixed with Dr. Jart + Black Label Detox BB Beauty Balm (to give a bit more coverage as needed). This homemade blend gives a nice natural yet radiant finish. My skin is very fair (think stereotypical English Rose complexion) I am considering the GA Luminous Silk foundation, and the GA Luminescence CC. Not sure which formulation or colour to try. Thank you for your assistance!
I went into my local sephora this weekend to get some new powder. I gravitated to the UD because that is my FAVORITE line right now, but i never tried the powder. i have generally worn MAC for as long as i can remember. I tend to stick with sephora for everything else and opted to just take all my business there because the chick at the MAC counter was rude the last time i went in there. Anyways. The SA at sephora put me in a light medium in Naked Skin. I am an NW20, and that was WAY too dark. Which i didn't realize until i got out of the store. I went back and and was told to go home and wash my makeup off and start over, and i should look great. I did that. Still bright orange. I went back the next day and went with Becca in Buttercup, which is STILL too dark. Is there any way that I can be matched correctly so i don't have to keep driving 40 miles one way to my local store?
I currently wear Estee Lauder's Double Wear Stay-in-Place foundation in Sand 1W2. I am wanting to try Kat Von D's Lock-It Tattoo Foundation, but am not sure what color to use. I was leaning towards Light 45, but is that too light?
Hi, I am 24 years old and have many skin concerns and am obsessed with beauty products and reviews since I have been disabled so it passes the time. However, I'm not getting any direct answers to a good skin routine to up my skin game. All my life I have true oily and olive skin. So I am a bit blemish prone..but that was only to pimples. Now I am suffering from pores on my cheeks and chin which is odd. And know I have combination skin (shiny t zone drier cheeks) I am now better to know to try out skin care products in starter kits to see what is best. I am also concerned with aging and due to insomnia have dark circles under my eyes (which products have been helped) so I'm looking for aging products especially a night mask that don't make me break out. I always used sacylic face wash and spot treatment for pimples and clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion but it turns my face red. I currently have tried the pore no more to go kit by dr brandt. with their triple peptide eye cream. I use charchol face wash and the biore face scrub 2 a week and also do the one minute mask. I used the skin ceuticals equalizing toner but it doesn't do much. And I don't want to mix products. And the ROC 5 in 1 multi correction restoring night cream recommended makes me break out like CRAZY. I started bought the simple start for trouble free skin by shisedo mainly for the mostiurizier but I was wondering what you thought about it. I got sales of the mural black head reformer and pore reefing as well as murals acne spot fix. And I use Tree Body wash for bacne breakouts which works wonder fly. What do you believe is the best night cream for my skin and day and night routine? Especially Day?
Two things. For some reason at the end of the day the makeup on my nose, around my nose and on my chin seem to be completely worn off. How can I get makeup int these areas to STAY on!! Also I use concealer for my under eyes. I use narz creamy concealer and then I set it with some powder and a beauty blender. And tips on how to make it not look Cakey or any suggestions on products? Thank you!!!!!!
I'm 22 years old and I need a new concealer for under-eye circles. I've tried a bunch but haven't found "the one" yet. Most of them settled into fine lines around my eyes and made them more noticeable. Any suggestions? I've tried "Camera Ready Full Coverage Concealer" by SMASHBOX, "All About Eyes Concealer" by CLINIQUE, "Double Feature" by LORAC, and "Amazing Concealer" by Amazing Cosmetics. I've also tried the bareminerals "well rested" and "bisque" and wasn't sold on either of them for my undereye circles. I wouldn't even mind using two different concealers but I just want something that will work! Any ideas?
I have very bad hyper pigmentation and ive been searching for the best concealer to use. But none have worked for me they usually dont have enough coverage and fade has the day goes by. What concealers out there are good for my hyper pigmentation?
I'm 41 and looking for an eye cream to help with my sagging lids, crows feet, and fine lines. I have very sensitive skin, so I don't want to use anything with retinol in it. I have already tried the Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkle Resist cream (it was so heavy and greasy it made me break out in white bumps all around my eyes). I also tried the Algenist Firming and Lifting gel and I had an allergic reaction to it (it made my eyes puff up pretty badly all around and caused a lot of discomfort). I could really use some help. I love my Sephora store, but, everyone who works there is in their 20s and none of them know what to recommend for me. Can anyone please help? I'm desperate! Thanks!
i am wanting to order the giorgio armani luminous silk foundation but my sephora does not carry it so im wondering if anyone of you could help or maybe your the same color reference as me and have it.. in mac im an nc30, in tarte a light-medium honey, #40 in MUFE, buttercup in becca ultimate coverage... and i got color matched twice from 2 people at sephora & one says stromboli & then punjab for nars luminous
I seem to have some oily skin in the typical oily "T-Zone" area. By the end of the day it seems to have completely worn off. I have started using a little bit less of concealer for under my eyes along with powder and it deffinitley makes a difference with not looking cakey. I do make sure to smooth out any little lines if I see any during the day but it's been a lot better. I really like for my skin to look flawless so I love medium to full coverage. Any suggestion ladies? I'm seriosuly a foundation and concealer junkie . . . I'm looking to have a bit of a foundation collection before I move onto building up eyeshadows and all that fun stuff.
I am looking for a nice everyday foundation. I usually wear Makeup 4ever which I LOVE but it is a little too much to wear to class. Is there anything that has nice coverage but doesn't look too cakey? I have somewhat sensitive skin with occasional break outs. Thanks! XOXO
I've been using Josie Maran's compact bronzer for two years. She no longer makes it. . This was the absolute best bronzer I have ever found for my light, dry, sensitive skin. Any replacement recs? I absolutely cannot use talc-based products or products containing perfum/fragrance
