Hello! I'm looking to redo my regimen to use gentler products. I have acne prone skin with a significant amount of discoloration from my hormonal breakouts. I've been using Kate Somerville for years but it doesn't seem to be working for me anymore, so I want to switch to another line that is gentler. I am looking for a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and sunscreen
Hi, My sephora doesn't yet have the YSL ink foundation so that i can get colour matched. And I heard that its a really great formula but don't want to buy the wrong shade I'm #3 in Guerlain's LdP and 300 in Dior's Airflash foundation. Can someone please recommend me a shade for the new YSL foundation? Thanks!
Ok, so I'm looking for a new foundation and i can't seem to find anything that matches all of my criteria. I have combination/oily skin and only need a little bit of coverage. i really want something that looks VERY natural because I'm really not in to the whole makeup look. I'm also very pale and have a mix of pink and yellow tones in my skin. Any suggestions?
I have very oily acne prone skin and I have been breaking out pretty bad recently on my cheeks, chin, and along my jawline. I'm not sure if it's just 1 product that's breaking me out or my whole routine. I'm currently using in the morning: first aid beauty facial cleanser, clean&clear essentials deep cleaning toner for sensitive skin, and the murad oil control mattifier. In the evening: same cleanser and toner, loreal revitalift serum, josie maran argan oil light, and twice a week I use the dr. jart pore medic @ home peel, and benzoyl peroxide as a spot treatment when needed The breakouts are pretty large and not just 1 or 2 at a time but several, I haven't had a breakout like this in a long time...so frustrating! Anyway are there other products I should try instead? I want to use gentle products and products that won't cause my oily skin to overreact. I would also like to incorporate as much drugstore products as possible! Thank you all!
OK, so I bit the bullet (no pun intended) and made an appointment at my dentist to get my teeth professionally whitened. Anyone have any words of wisdom on preparation, longevity, whitening I can expect, etc? I've questioned my dentist bunches of times (this is not something I just jumped into), but I'd really like some feedback from people who've had it done. I'm looking forward to this, but I'm a little anxious, too!
Recently I purchased a pallet make up, No makeup makeup from Toofaced. However, I noticed on the back , there is a 2012 year mentioned. I wonder is there any chance to know the manufacture date ? I am afraid that my pallet is gonna expire soon. The code is BM2. I rarely do the makeup, so it will stay with me quite long period. Thanks, Yen
Hello! So pretty recently my foundation has been acting up. Whenever I apply foundation I ALWAYS get this cakey, dry skin look. I do have dry skin but I always exfoliate and moisturize before I apply my foundation. That being said I also have acne. And normally that's where I find it cakes the most but I don't have acne all over my face, even where I have smooth skin I see that it's cakey. The cakey makeup won't go away. It's also seems like you can see the peach fuzz on my face, it's so weird. I use my Laura Mercier foundation with my Cover FX liquid foundation brush. I put on my NYX Pour Filler primer and put on my foundation. I truly put on a thin layer, a thin enough layer that I still see the redness from my acne (which I dislike but I'd rather have my acne showing than a full of cakey makeup.) After putting on my foundation I would normally set my face with a matte powder (which makes the cakey makeup look even more worse.) Add bronzer and blush (height of the cake.) I have no clue what to do anymore. I've tried different foundations, all the way to pricey top of the line ones, to drugstore ones. I've tried different ways of putting the foundation on, my fingers, a sponge, a brush. I've tried BB cream. Nothing is working. Can anyone please save me from this makeup nightmare? Thanks in advance!
Trying to decide on two shadows for a make up forever palatte. Like the look of the khaki matte as the dark shadow but can't decide on a paler base shadow to compliment it. Something peachy and not glittery would be ideal. Any suggestions?
Hello! Recently, my foundation has not been looking its best. I have acne-prone, combination oily skin and I use the clinique acne solutions makeup with the hourglass mineral veil primer. But my foundation has been getting cakey and clinging to dry patches. I haven't changed my skincare much because I use topical gel for my acne at night and my clinique three step system in the morning. Should I get a new foundation? Please help!
Hi beauties, My favorite mascara has been Buxom's amplified Lash Mascara, and although it doesn't smear as much as other non-waterproof mascaras, toward the end of my work day around 3-4ish it starts to sting my eyes (not sure why) and I HAVE to take it off as soon as I am home because just touching it up doesn't help the stinging. Before this though, it is perfectly fine and doesn't bother my eyes at all. I am thinking it is because it isn't waterproof and maybe after a few hours it starts to maybe rub off specks in my eyes? I am really unsure. If any of you happen to know if it is due to something else and waterproofing it would not help at all-- please let me know ! I checked and there is not a current water proof version of this mascara. But if any of you happen to know a dupe version of this mascara that will be long-wearing that would be really helpful!! and lastly.... any tips on waterproofing this mascara if all else fails?! I was thinking of using Make Up Forever Aqua Seal, but I wear contacts and have sensitive skin at times so I am unsure if this would be safe for me to use on my lashes? Any tips would be sooo so so appreciated! Thanks loves! <3
I wanted to try the Sephora Perfection Mist, however i am unsure which color to buy? (nearest sephora is a long way from me, so i was planning on ordering online) I have included a photo of me in the most natural lighting possible. I have oily and acne prone skin, is this foundation good for me? Any other recommendations ?
I use Benefit Brow Zings in 'Light', can anybody please advise me what colour would be the nearest match in Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade please? I live in Ireland so will have to purchase online without being able to swatch. If anybody has the Brow Zings in Light I would greatly appreciate it if the could swatch it against their ABH Dipbrow. Thanks in advance!
Hi - i need an expert's feedback on how to apply eyeliner on without it smudging. I've tried applying primer such like Too Face's Shadow Insurance and Urban Decay's Primer Potion with eyeliners like Urban Decay 24/7, Nars Larger than Life, Bobbi Brown Gel liner, and Chanel Long-lasting eyeliner. The primers didn't work on me. My eyelids do get oily for some reason when my entire face is normal to dry. What am i doing wrong or what am i not using correctly?
I've been hearing a lot about the importance of pre-cleansing, and I'm wondering about how all of you incorporate it into your routine? Right now I use the Neutrogena make-up removing wipes and then wash with my Purity Cleanser, but I'm not sure if that is how pre-cleansing is supposed to work. I'm thinking about adding some sort of oil/gel cleanser to use as my pre-cleanse and make-up removal step. I'm considering the Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Melting Cleanser, but I'm concerned about the Vitamin C content since I use a .3% retinol serum at night. Would this product be safe to use with retinol? I've heard that using Vitamin C and retinol together can be too irritating. Some of the other products I'm considering are the Clinique Take the Day Off Balm or Oil, Boscia's Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel, and Josie Maran's Argan Cleansing Oil. Would any of these products be good for a make-up removing pre-cleanse? Does anyone have any experience with these products or have another favorite? Thank you!
I wear Marc Jacobs Marvelous Mousse cream makeup in shade Ivory and Cover FX total Vover foundation in shade: N10. I want to try Hiurglass illusion Hyaluronic foundation but need to know whether Vanilla or Shell comes closet to matching what I am using.
I know everyone asks this question a lot. but I do need help. I have combo/oily skin. I get oily on my Tzone. I need a foundation medium coverage for everyday use. I have little acne/little scars aslo. I do not want Nars I tried that melts off and the color is always off. My problem is because I am between neutral and warm undertone.
I'm looking for a nice matte finish / medium coverage foundation for my combo/ dry skin. I often get oily with wear in my T-zone and have dry cheeks. I have yellow under tones and do not like any pink in my foundation. Which foundations do you recommend? I would also like to try a foundation that leave a natural finish for everyday wear.
Looking for a moisturizer and primer all in one. I saw Two Faced has one called hangover replenishing face primer. I have dry skin that tends to get oily by the end of the day in my "t" zone. Any comments or recommendations?!
