Hello I am getting married in Cancun Mexico and it so hot and humidityand I am afraid it wont last. I have some oily around my nose. RIght now I wear the nars foundation. Any advice will help. Thank you
Ok, so I know this is NOT how it happened but I swear I feel like I went to bed one night and woke up the next morning with semi-deep forehead wrinkles! I never noticed them before and then BAM - there they were! Does anyone have any recommendations on the best wrinkle fillers/reducers? My skin otherwise looks pretty good for 42 - no "11's", no wrinkles around my mouth, and very minimal 'crows feet'. Just left staring at these lines on my forehead! Please HELP!
Good Morning! I need help deciding on a new foundation. I moved to Korea 2 weeks ago for my job and my skin has just gotten worse and worse. I'm breaking out with dozens of white heads, under the skin zits, black heads spreading, pores look unusually large, redness worsening... I haven't broken out this bad in years. I hate the way my skin looks right now. I'm changing my skin care routine to something gentler (South Korea is known for its skin care so I thought I'd give some of their products/"secrets" a try) but I need a new foundation. Currently using: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20- oil free in porcelain. My Skin: I have combination skin. Very very oily in the T-zone but I dry out around my eyes, upper lip, and cheeks. I have had mild acne since I was a teen and some redness on my face and neck. The Issue: We're in the hot and humid season here and I think this foundation is only adding to the problem, clogging pores and worsening the oil problem. Looking for: A light coverage foundation, something like a tinted moisturizer or BB cream. I don't like the feeling of thick make up but I like to wear some since I do have some old scaring and an uneven skin tone. Can you please help?
Have tried Smashbox, Naked, Bear Minerals, etc. Still looking for the game changer. Never any luck on under eye concealer that doesn't look too light or settler into wrinkles. Want a CC/BB that looks really natural. Help!
Hi I live on a lake in Florida, but rarely go into the sun anymore. I have blonde hair and blue eyes, and just got 3 more tiny skin cancers cut off my arms and leg a week ago. I used to live in the sun- 10:00 to 4:00 all day long, at the beach, at the end of my dock, etc. I am paying the price now. What pressed powder foundation is best for my age? My skin is very clear, mostly dry now (I used to have a T-zone), and I don't know if I should use matte, sheer, etc. How do I decide on what shade? I want the highest rated powder foundation that lasts all day and won't look dried out, but will keep my skin looking dewey. Thanks! Belinda

I am in dire need of finding the right shade of foundation for my skin and I would appreciate any help I can get. Yesterday, I went into a Sephora in hopes of finding the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Foundation. Unfortunately, they do not carry that foundation in stores. However, I was able to find my color IQ and I am 3Y09 and I would like to know what would be the best match for that kind of skin tone. I also have combination/ oily skin and the oiliest part of my face is my t-zone. Also, if you can recommend any primers that have a matte finish and a concealer that spot conceals and also fades dark circles under the eyes. Again any help would be great appreciated.
I went to Sephora in store today looking at the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, and I really wanted to get it! I got a lady there to match me to 'Blonde', but sure enough, they didn't have anymore in stock (just my luck). I came on their website to order it, but the names of the colours are different. I know I would either be Taupe, or Caramel, but I'm not sure which one is Blonde in the stores? Did they change the names? Could anyone help me find my shade? Thank you!!
Just noticed that all of the spring stuff is showing up (early as always) but the thread is still specific to Winter (which it is...but tell the brands). So what have you found, dear BTers, that is new on Sephora...
Hello beauty talk members, I see so many color threads here. I love to chat about luxury skincare products and procedures. I am addicted to trying new things and am always on the lookout for something new in skincare. Have a favorite luxury brand or product? Have a fav skin tool or treatment? Please share. Curious about botox? Spa treatments and peels? let's share our experiences here . We can also post good GWP's, and specials.
I've tried Estee double wear, KVD, Merle Norman and those aren't wowing me. My pores across my face are spotlighted by these. I like more than sheer coverage and hate when a foundation transfers easily. help?
Hello all! This might be a bit long so please bear with me. I have terrible dark circles (though they're more purple really) and I was set up with the Make Up For Ever HD concealer and it's not too shabby. I have better luck when I pair it with my NYX color corrector concealer in a peachy shade. I'm fair/ light skin toned. I lived in South Korea for 3 years and my oil-control setting powder is nearly out! I've just discovered the different kinds of setting powders there are... and there's a lot. But the biggest question I have really is how do you know whether you need one for brightening or not? Because I would like one to try to use to set my concealer and entire face using the same product. Honestly, I have no idea what dull skin even looks like because it's all pretty much the same to me? Also, I sweat a lot and often (Florida sucks) so anything can could help keep me in place with that too would be awesome. Thank you!!!!
What color(s) would look nice on me from MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Shadow Eyeshadow and Powder Blush brand? Also should I do one color for my whole eye or more then one? (Hazel eyes, brown hair and pale skin)
I use the Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifying lotion between my cleanser and moisturizer for my acne. The first few days I start using it my skin looks great! But for some reason with continued use, it starts to make my jawline+chin very dry. It's funny because my T-zone looks fine and even gets oily/shiny throughout the day, but my dry jawline and chin make my makeup look flaky and patchy in those areas! I also use a mattifying foundation (Make Up Forever Mat Velvet +) could that be making it worse?
Okay this one is for all my fellow fair folk. I've found that many eyeshadow palettes have "transition shades" that are a little too dark for really pale people like myself. How do y'all like to make such palettes work? Do you just apply less of those regular transition shades and build the color up slowly? Are there specific single eyeshadows or palettes that you find are fair-skin friendly?
I am just starting to learn how to correctly do my makeup. I can do foundation concealer and like eyeshadow and stuff. I'm learning how to contour and highlight and even just using bronzer. But I was wondering what products you would recommend? (From primer to everything else, even lipsticks and stuff).
I've been dying to get my hands of Benefit's Hervana blush, but I can't find it in store or online at Sephora. I've seen it on Benefit's website and at Ulta, but I prefer to buy "high-end" things at Sephora to get the VIB points. Is Hervana just out of stock temporarily at Sephora, or are they just never gonna sell it again?
I am looking for a light-weight foundation for summer that looks natural but gives good coverage. I have combination-oily, acne-prone skin. I have always been a fan of Makeup Forever HD foundation, but I am interested in trying something lighter for the summer. Maybe something mineral?? Thanks! XOXO Sarah
I've had oily skin my whole life, but the past year or so my skin has gotten even more oily. I've used basically the same skincare and same makeup since I was in high school (I'm 26). I assume my hormones are changing as I get older, but NOTHING I've tried has even remotely helped my skin be less oily. I've gone into multiple different beauty stores including Sephora and asked them what to do, in which they set me up with several different brands of powder/bb cream to no avail. Here's the problem - I put on a matte powder in the morning (I like powder foundation because I am pretty low maintenance and hate spending too much time on my makeup) and sometimes in less than 2 hours, my skin is so oily that the makeup I put on has coagulated and separated on my face 1- making it look like I just put oily sunscreen on my face (I wish I was exaggerating) and 2- making it so anytime I touch my face even remotely it makes it look like I've wiped off paint from a drying canvas. The powder mixing with the oil on my skin essentially turns the powder into a wet, sticky foundation. It's disgusting. Because of this, I've had to put more and more layers of powder on throughout the day making it cake up and coagulate even more. I have a very natural style, and the caked on look doesn't fly with me. Has anyone had this problem before? Is there anyway to make my skin less oily? Is there a powder than can control this much oil?
