lip stick from going otuside the lines

I have recently started wearing more bold colors and find that even when I line my lips sometimes when I rub my lips together to ensure even color, the lipstick travels outside of my lip lines...how can I prevent this?

Smashbox Nude Lip Liner works well for me to keep lipstick and gloss from migrating and settling in fine lines around my lips. You can also use it under lipstick to make it last longer!

Also try using a lip brush. It allows you to work on the finer details and really get the color in there. There are a couple Sephora TV tutorials on it I believe.

Hi liljess,

I recommend a anti-feathering/bleeding pencil that you can use to line the outside of the lips for brighter or darker colors.  I like to use them with dark reds and burgundy colors as well as hot pink and bold colors! What's great is the liners are clear and don't show up but are amazing to keep color from bleeding and smuding outside the lips:
