I recently bought NARS blush in Orgasm due to so many raves but I didn't care for it. It had too much shimmer for me. There are several other ones i'd like to try, but I don't want to commit to buy and I also don't want to buy, buy, buy and have to return. Can Sephora make you a blush sample?
I have recently been using the Tarte Amazonian Clay liquid Foundation, and bareMinerals Blemish Remedy, and both are making me break out... I have used the Clinique Stay-Matte but it also made me break out. I am looking for a good Liquid foundation and/or a powder, preferably pressed powder for on the run touch ups, that won't encourage breakouts. Any suggestions?
Hello, I got my Color IQ yesterday, and I'm pretty happy with the BB cream it matched me with. While I think it's a great tool, I'd still like to know what this code translates to. Is there a chart somewhere to help me decode it? I'm a 2Y06. Thank you, Biakko
I'm looking for a "spot" concealer for those wicked little pimples that occasionally pop up. I've searched and see tons of products for under eye...but this would be for the face. I'm open to any and all suggestions.(money is not an object)..also what brush and technique should I use so it's not obvious? I wear Nars Sheer glow foundation...the color is lost on me right now, but in the past have worn Dior Airflash spray foundation in 200, as well as Chanel's Vitalumiere satin smoothing fluid make up in natural beige...I also wear Bobbi Brown's BB cream in Medium..and it's a great match. Tx so much!
Guerlain is my benchmark on BB creams and I've tried a lot. The big problem with it was that it only had 2 colors, One was too light and one was too dark for me. Now however they have introduced an in between color and I'm thinking of ordering it. Before I do though, are there any others in the same league as Guerlain that I should consider? BTW I've tried Too Faced, Stila, Clinique, Estee Lauder (was the closest in overall quality and a few of Dr. Jart (to ashen for my skin tone). Thanks for your input.
I am in desperate need of a new skincare plan. I have a few ideas so far: Investing in the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush! Clé de Peau Beauté masks! But...I need a great moisturizer to use daily. I am torn between the Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Oil-Free Energizing Oxygen Gel Cream Moisturizer, and the Clinique Moisture Surge Intense For Very Dry to Dry Combination Skin. I am very pale, with super-parched, tight skin. I have very, very sensitive skin and allergies to most plants, flowers, botanicals, and artificial chemicals. I do not break out easily, but suffer from skin redness when it gets irritated or dry, due to air pollution, impurities, etc. Both have received wonderful reviews, so I am hoping someone can provide me with a bit of a breakdown as to any reactions/differences one would notice between the two products. Thanks for your help!
What shade am I for Estee Lauder Double Wear Light (squeeze tube one, not glass bottle)? I have 1.0 right now and it it too light and too pink/cool toned. (P.S. I'm asking again since my question was missed...)
What foundation/BB/CC cream would everyone recommend for that simple porcelain finish? I have a make up bag full of products... none that do the trick. I have normal/ even skin tone. Just wanted a simple look
I match perfectly with BareMineral Bareskin #3 Linen and Cover FX 30 but when i looked for a pick for baremineral original foundation powder it was Medium Beige here. When I went to the bare mineral site it was Fairly Light. I know my skin is neutral more then yellow from all the past foundations I've tried. I was just wondering if I should purchase the Medium Beige this site picked for me or the Fairly Light picked by BareMinerals site?
Hi -- I'm preparing to do an amateur bodybuilding competition in a month, and I've been tanning for awhile using a "professional grade" bronzing lotion. Approximately two months ago I injured myself on the left side of my chest. The wound has healed but unfortunately there is now a blotchy 2" x 1" area which is noticeably darker than the surrounding tanned skin. Even though I have put an opaque bandage over the area when I tan, the discoloration is not fading all that much. A day before the bodybuilding show, I get spray tanned on top of my "base" tan. This is necessary because even though I have a fairly dark tan right now, the theatrical lighting on-stage is so bright that my "natural" tan will look washed-out and without the spray tan I'll wind up appearing grey. So, I think I'm going to need some sort of makeup to cover the blemish, but not only does it have to blend with my tanned skin, it has to be compatible with the spray tan. I'm guessing that I'd apply the blemish concealer before spray tanning, but being that I know virtually nothing about cosmetics, I'm not sure about this. Anyway, I have no idea what would be a good choice of product to use, so I figured that I'd "Ask The Experts." - Dan
I realized the MUFE pencil shadows I'm looking to replace have been discontinued, can anyone suggest replacements? Pencil format would be preferable, but a cream shadow that's waterproof will do as well. I'm looking to replace 8E and 22E from the attached pic
I have super sensitive, combination and recently acne prone skin. I think that I may have a sensitivity to just about everything. I am nearing my thirties and am in need of the best facial moisturizer for my skin type. I have only tried oil of olay so far for a moisturizer and it caused me to break out. I have been in search of a fabulous foundation as well. I have graveyards of products that don't seem to work for me! Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you!
I am 34 years old and want to invest in an awesome serum that will help with anti-aging, wrinkle combatting and healthier skin. Over the Iast few years I have developed lines on my forehead, around my eyes and mouth. After lots of searching, I think I have narrowed it down to two choices - Estee Lauder Perfectionist CP+R Wrinkle Lifting/Firming Serum and Shiseido Bio Performance Super Corrective Serum. Can you help me make a final decision or recommend something better than these two options. Thanks!
I use bareMInerals original foundation in medium tan, I was initially matched to the wrong shade a fact that I didn't pick up on until I walked out of my house looking like that and people asked me what happened to my face. So I made sure this time it was right so I asked around a couple of sephoras and asked several different cast members to make sure I got matched to the right one, I was matched to medium tan thrice and its a perfect match even in bright sunlight. But medium tan is 1y09, while my match was 3y11. I wanted lighter coverage so I wanted something else the cast member when she realized that I use bareminerals, recommended their broad spectrum foundations as a more sheer alternative and matched me to golden tan which is also 1y09. At an Estee Lauder warehouse sale they matched me to Clinique perfectly real foundation in shade 34, which is also 1y09. So I am obviously 1y09, so why did I get match to 3y11? Plus 2 out of the 3 3y11 foundations I tried on were too light for me. What is up with that?
I have a friend who wears MUFE HD foundation and it looks fabulous on her. I am thinking of trying it, but have seen mixed reviews in regards to how it works with combination/oily skin. Can any of the experts comment on that? Also, I live about 2 hours away from the nearest Sephora store. Any suggestions for picking the right shade?
When I was a teenager, I had terrible acne. Went on drugs for it, and my skin cleared up. Since then, I used to get the occasional hormonal breakout. A pimple here or there, nothing too bad. For some reason, things have changed! Now I get these painful, swollen cysts that never come to the surface on my nose and beside my nose, even my chin! I've always had combo skin, but now it's even more oily AND dry. Ugh. I'd been using SpectroGel and Complex 15 moisturizer forever, but now I think my skin needs have changed and I want to get new products. I am also in a position where I don't need the cheapest stuff. Suggestions? I have combo/sensitive/apparently acne-prone (sort of?) skin. I need a new facial cleanser and moisturizer. Thanks guys!
My color id is #2Y01. I want to purchase a foundation for dry skin that doesn't seep into my wrinkles, or appear cakey. I suffer with eczema and have small lines on my cheeks/slight reddness. I also, enjoy seeing me freckles and don't enjoy a heavy looking foundation on my skin. Can anyone help? I am medium fair
My fav Lancome waterproof mascara failed me today when I went to raging waters. All the mascara smudged to the bottom of my eyes and looked horrible (I didnt notice until 2 hrs later). Can someone recommend me a "real" waterproof mascara that does not budge even with a makeup remover- thanks.
I'm a middle-aged guy with classic Mediterranean light-olive color, oily/shiny skin, plus a large/long nose. I'd like to use whatever product(s) and technique(s) are best to reduce the perceived size of my nose while also dealing with the shine that it has. Can anyone provide some advice? Thanks!
For nearly a year now, my skin has transformed into what I call an awful mask. I have red bumps (not pimples) throughout my face, dry patches that even pure coconut oil won't help. My fine lines have definitely gotten a bit worse and I just have a rough, uneven texture with enlarged pored and a loss of elasticity. My chin is often oily though and I get breakouts a lot in that area. I feel like I don't even know which problems to start with and products i used in the past that are no longer working. My skin is also very fair and sensitive. I'm getting anxiety due to how bad my skin is and I really just need advice on what products will help. I'm also on a bit of a budget. Thanks for reading, I hope to hear back soon. (SN: I'm 26 years old).
