Hey! I was just wondering if anyone had recommendations for a bronzer that could be used also as a contour for yellow-toned skin? I have light skin, and in summer, light-medium skin. I have tried the NARS Laguna Bronzer, however, I can't really see much difference with it, because it's rather light. I've also tried The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 2, but that is waaay too pink, and looks dirty and orange. Thanks everyone! I appreciate it!
I have used Lancome's Bi Facial with reasonably good results, but I was hoping I could find something that removed the mascara with fewer swipes (hoping to minimize damage to the eye area). I tried MUFE Sens Eyes and it really burned the skin around my eyes, which was a disappointment, since the cream seemed to be more effective than the liquid formulas I've been using. I want something without mineral oil as I have had problems with that before. Any suggestions?
I have been, as I'm sure many of you also have, very concerned about cosmetic ingredients and the potential dangers of many chemicals. There are lots of scary articles out there about loads of common ingredients, and I find it difficult to separate facts from fear mongering. I was just directed to a great website that actually provides the published scientific reviews of cosmetic ingredients, rather than just kind of saying "Trust us, we're scientists". I can't post the link here, but you can google The Cosmetic Ingredient Review (cir-safety) There's plenty of reading to go through, but it's pretty well organized and approachable for someone like me with no scientific training. I just wanted to share this resource in case there are some of you who have been looking for info like this!
What eye cream would be best for me? It can be from Sephora, Ulta, Nordies, Drugstore, etc. I wear contact lens and my eyes can be sensitive to certain products since I wear contacts. I just turned 30 this year, so I'm still really young. Can anyone suggest some eye creams for me? Also what would be the best drugstore eye creams? Has anyone used the Olay eye gel? Thanks
Is Sephora going to restock the meteorites (Perles d'Etoiles) & lipstick (Rouge G Lipstick in 920 Rouge Parade)? Also, I wasn't sure exactly where to post this so, please feel free to move my question to the appropriate board. Thanks!
Hellooo, I have the Mac Pro Longwear Makeup foundation in the Shade NW15 and I read about the undertones, since I wanted to change to Nars Sheer Glow. Now I actually have a yellow undertone but everyone says NW15 has a pink undertone. I looked up at foundation matrix pages to see which shade from Nars Sheer Glow would fit and it says Mont Blanc which is a foundation with a pink undertone. The mac foundation fits perfectly...I'm confused P.s it says that the colour of your veins helps...well mine have more of a greenish colour thanks for the help
How do you make your skin look so perfect and flawless? I've been trying to find good products and techniques to make my makeup look nice and natural with makeup and was wondering how you all achieved yours? Like what foundations, concealers, tools, etc. do you use?
Does anyone have any suggestions for a good foundation for a pale olive skin? I have given up on liquid, but i'd like to find some. I've been using physicians formula Organic Wear loose powder. Any foundation i ever try has that pink undertone and it just doesn't match my face. Because of being olive, of course, i'm not completely pale. I have a slight tan. Any suggestions would be great!
I am color matched for LM Tinted Moisturizer color "Nude". But I also want a powder foundation. If I wanted to purchased the LM Smooth Finish Foundation Powder, what color would that correspond to? Thanks!
Hello Ladies, I have a huge issue with my skin tone. I'm a caramel skin tone, and recently I've notice an uneven skin tone somewhere in my cheeks. I can see lighter spots (like white). I'm in my early twenties and I had never had this issue. Now I really don't know what to do, I wear my daily moisturizing cream, sfp, I follow a good diet... if anyone know of a product that can even up my skin tone, please let me know!!! I appreciate it, thank you. Sincerly, Ana
I probably spend three hundred a month on my skincare, it's something that I love and would never give up. Algenist is my brand of choice. I have used evey product that they have in there line. I have one small question? Why doesn't Sephora sell there whole line and is it ok to mix two different Moisterizers together if you can't choose? Lol
Is there more than one version of the CB palette? I saw one at Ulta that was more purple and pinks , but I can't seem to find it anywhere else. As luck would have it, I went back to get it, and they had been sold or pulled. Thought maybe my memory is just failing me with this one.
I am obsessed with Natasha Poly's makeup in this photo from a L'Oreal Paris video. She looks so glamorous, and her eye makeup is killing me with its perfection. Does anyone have an idea of how to achieve it? The video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=343atBOuA88
I was in your store and had my skin typed and was advised to use Givenchy Photo perfection. However, now sure which powder to use. For day, I like a Matte finish and for evening, a luminous finish. Like full to medium coverage
Hi all, I dropped my compact at work, and unfortunately my MUFE powder foundation broke. It's usable, but it's a little messy and very annoying, especially since I use it at work where I don't really want to make that mess. I read past posts about using alcohol to fix broken powder products, and understand that theory, but I wanted to know what the lovelies on BT thought. Does anyone have any other suggestions, for fixing it, or even for the usage of a broken powder?
I am in desperate need of help. I was used to bleach my facial hair once every two months ( I know this is not a good option) and I want to switch to facial Wax. I was thinking to buy Bliss wax strips but the reviews are not good for it and due to some health issues it is hard for me to go to a salon. I do threading for my upperlip but can't gather enough courage to do it on rest of my face. PLLLLZ suggest me some good facial wax that I can use myself at home because although my facial hair are not too many or too long but they black and it makes them very prominent. My hubby asked me other day "Are you planing to grow Beard" so I am now one angry wife looking for an immediate solution for this problem.
Hi, i am currently out of the country and will be returning in December. My birthday is this month, I was wondering will I be able to get my birthday gift delivered to my house without buying any products? or Can i redeem my birthday gift when i return in december?
I'm going to lose my mind the more and more I read, hear and learn about bronzer! I just bought Chanel Les Beiges and am NOT looking to use it for contouring, but rather to give a little bit of warmth to my light, neutral-if-not-ever-so-slightly-cool undertoned face. I got it in shade 30, which is very similar to my natural skin color, but warmer and a couple very minor shades darker. It doesn't help that I tend to get pink/burn in the sun, so that is the color that I'm accustomed to seeing on the top of my nose, temples, etc. that I am now hoping to replace with bronzer. The last piece of advice I received from an SA I trust at Sephora said to go out into the sun, and wherever you feel the sun hit your face would be where bronzer should be applied. But that also seems like where I already apply blush and/or highlighter. Which has led me to create this thread, trying to figure out how to use them together. Would love some insight or direction to a good diagram on how to use blush/bronzer (not as a contour)/highlighter together. Because what the SA said makes total sense to me, but there isn't enough room on my face for everything!
I really need a good skincare routine. I don't know what's ideal to do everyday, from waking up to going to sleep. My skin is very mixed. I would like to know what I should be using on my skin f.ex. moisturising, cleaning, oils and other things... I would also like to know the same about makeup. Should I use a primer everyday, bb cream, cc cream or what? I am very confused. I would love to get some answers
Hi all! Just wondering if anyone has tried the 'Bare Minerals Biolucent Mineral Brightening Treatment' (i think thats the name!) can anyone offer any feedback/advice? I'm trying to figure out if its worth the price tag. thanks
I know I will be sorry for posting this but I searched for an answer and could not find one. I have NEVER returned anything to Sephora, period and I've shopped here for about three years now. I love Algenist and owned every product in there line but two. I decided to order one of those two and I just did not like it at all. I kept using it for a week but just can't make myself like it no matter how hard I try. Should I return it or just throw it away and chalk it up to a good lesson learned? I order from Algenist only if they don't sell it here on Sephora. Algenist says as long as it hasent been over 30 days they would be happy to have me turn it , is that Sephoras return policy or not? Please remember that I searched for this answer on skincare returns but could not find the answer I was looking for. Thank you in advance, please don't think that I go around returning things because I just hate to return anything! Lol
Does anyone have any recommendations for skincare for getting rid of redness/hyperpigmentation from past acne? I'm willing to splurge and spend more money on better quality skincare. I've been looking at the SK-II brightening and Shiseido White Lucent lines, but am open to other recommendations! My skin is oily, sensitive, and acne prone.
