My prom is about a month away, and I want to create those beautiful, vintage finger waves. I have a good amount of experience with vintage hairstyles (mostly 1950's and 1960's dos) but I've never worked with gel or creme, and I need to use some sort of product to hold my wet hair in place or else it just won't turn out right. I have, as my Granny says, "medium-thick hair and a lot of it!" It's a little past my chin in length and stacked in the back with side swept bangs that resemble tapered layers more than bangs (the shortest layer falls just below my cheekbone when blown dry correctly). My hair is straight with a natural flip at the bottom and is silky smooth and shiny. (I know all these different factors can help determine what products would work best for me or I wouldn't waste your time on it, I promise.) Basically, I just need to know what you amazing beauty experts would suggest to hold finger waves in place in my hair. I'm trusting you with my life!
Hi, I need a good recommendation for a powder highlighter. I have only used cream or stick highlighter/luminizers, and need to switch to a powder form. I use quite a bit of foundation and concealer to achieve "perfect" skin and it seems like my current highlighters don't layer well over foundations. I have medium-to-light skin that is yellow/olive toned I'd like something that is slightly shimmery. Thank you!
My beloved Stila is not so chemical safe and I'm now worried about my MUFE foundation and slowly but surely switching everything over to be safer. Tarte is the closest that matches my skin tone (deathly pallor) but really seems to be just slightly too orange on my skin after an hour or so.
I currently use Urban Decay Buck to fill in my eyebrow, I wonder what color am I in the ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Brow Powder Duo? I have well filled in brows but my hair color is a warm medium brown.I don't know if I should get the ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Brow Powder Duo or the ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Brow Wiz. Which stays on longer, I usually have 12+ hour days.
Hi! I would like a recomendation to choose a foundation for my WEDDING DAY! It will be taking place in the summer, so I need something to stick on my face but still look like myself. I have combination skin, and a little bit of redness. And im pretty sure it will be hot that day, so I dont want to be oily-shiny. Hope you can help me!! I was thinking about studio skin 15 hour wear foundation, but im not pretty sure! I linked a photo of myself so you can have an idea, non make up HEEEELP!
I've always had clear skin since about 25. I then, broke out and developed really dry flaky forehead and cheeks, including redness. I took care of the breakouts but, the dryness never went away fully. Im still left with what seems like red little dots on my forehead and cheeks but, theyre not bumps. Just pigmentation, I guess. I use a soft face wash nothing drying. I moisturize with cerave and apply coconut oil after. I drink enough water which hasnt helped. I use an apricot scrub every few days but, Ive found a scrubbing glove to be better, less drying. Are there any products on here to help with severe forehead dryness and anything for red spots/pigmentation. My skin looks really blotchy in broad daylight and Im trying to treat it so I don't have to wear foundation when I go out.
Did anyone else take advantage of the sale on one of the Sephora Prestige Luxe Brush Sets? I've had a couple brushes die on me recently and figured these would be a good filler until I had the funds to buy my favourites again (Marc Jacobs No. 12 for example). Does anyone know how these brushes stand against other quality brushes? And what's the difference in the two different prestige luxe sets? I find it frustrating that once something is out of stock, I can't go back to the product page to see comments or info on it.
I have very oily skin, something I have learned to accept, however... I have such a hard time when it comes to wearing eye shadow. I have tried Urban Decay and Benefits but neither has worked. I always end up with a crease. I even tried putting a setting powder over my primer (and under) and nope... no success. It really bums me out when I see a great eye shadow color but all I can think about is the crease that will emerge. Any suggestions!!
I have Olay body soap, the Body Shop's lemon and thyme soap-free body wash and L'Occitane Cleansing And Softening Shower Oil With Almond Oil which is my favorite, but that is out of my budget. Does anyone have anything you can recommend? I have really dry arms, legs and back, but my back breaks out quite often.
Hello, I am searching for a face wash for my oily/acne prone sensitive skin. I've been using Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel which I LOVE. But now I need a wash that is gentler/non-medicated (ie without salicylic acid/beta hydroxy, etc,) to use in rotation to cleanse my face that won't break it out but removes dirt/makeup. Would any one be able to help with recommendation/guidance? Thank you!
Hi Everyone! My name is Jennifer and i need major advice about oily skin, still get acne, and my major problem visible pores!! (not tiny but big visible pores where i had ppl ask me if they can feel my face) it really gets to me I need HELP!!!
Good Day! I need some help/advice on a new face wash. Currently stocked in my bathroom is Origins Checks and Balances face wash, but I am finding it a bit harsh on my dry weather confused skin. Some of the best sellers/top rated washers are the Josie Argan Cleansing Oil and the Fresh Soy face cleanser and I just need some input on what I should get to replace my origins for the rainy, cold yet sunny at times, and dry weather we are having. I have really combo skin, really oily Tzone, but DRY flakey cheeks. I've never used any type of oil for my face except for a waterproof eye makeup remover, but I am extremely open to try it. My only skin concerns I have is my combo issue, occasional breakout(guilty of not washing my foundation brush for almost a month. lesson learned. laziness=big pimples that scars) and blackheads. I have tried Philosophy,Clinque, FAB, Bliss and Boscia, but they are just not for me.
If I'm using Perricone Blue Plasma, Cold Plasma, Algenist reconstructing serum and Algenist moisturizer and Bobbi Brown extra eye repair cream in the pm and in the morning Perricone eye lid serum, OVM, and photo plasma and Bobbi Brown sun SPF 50 is that to much product? I am 47 and fair skinned? Thank you
