Is there any foundation that i can buy that wont start coming off and making my face look extremely oily. My bronzer always ends up looking extremely muddy at the middle of the day as well I go to school 7am-5pm so I know its a long time Any advice?
When I created an account in store last year then tried to sign in online, it somehow created 2 accounts... is there a way I could be able to sign in online with the points I've gotten in store? Please help me because I'm soooo close to becoming a VIB in store but I can't because I can't buy online. Thanks!
I am at my whit's end. I need some serious beauty help. I've asked before on this forum, but the advise really didn't help, unfortunately. I live in a small town/city and the Sephora store here is horrible. It's inside of JCPenney and it's very small. The girls that work there are usually friendly, but their advise is horrible. Most of the time the girls grab the first thing they see, or the most "trendy" brand and guarantee it'll work or I can return. I'm tired of returning. I'm tired of trying product after product without the results I am searching for. First off, let me apologize for this rather lengthy post. I have a lot of factors going against me and I could use as much help as I can get. Here goes: I have combination skin. I'm very, very oily in my t-zone, around my nose, and chin. I am also dry in between my eyebrows, in my eyebrows, and around my nose. I went out of town to a Sephora for beauty advise at a larger store. The gals were fantastic! The girl who gave me my skin consultation suggested that I actually have dry skin and that I was working too hard to combat the oiliness and making everything worse. She suggested the Boscia Tsubaki line of products. I've been so happy so far. My acne has cleared and my skin feels soft. I use the Deep Hydration Mask at night, then I use the Super-Charge Overnight Moisture in the day. I usually use the Tsubaki cleanser as well, but I recently decided to try the Purifying cleanser since my store was out of the Tsubaki. I exfoliate around 2-3 times a week. I do my best to take very good care of my skin. Here is the major issue. My skin is still extremely oily still. I apply foundation and within an hour I look like an oil slick. Even matte foundations make my skin oily. The other issue, everything clings to the dryness. And, to top it off, I am super red around my nose area. Full coverage foundation don't even hide the horrible redness around my nose. My makeup NEVER looks flawless or well blended, no matter how hard I try to blend. I've bought countless different foundation brushes and still have the same results. I have PCOS, which causes me to have a lot of peach fuzz on my face. I usually have it threaded, but it still can get thick before my next appointment and my foundation makes it worse. I look I applied my foundation in the dark. My foundation gets so cakey around my nose, mouth, chin, and in between my eyebrows. I've used medium, build able coverage and full coverage. I always start with a small amount and build it up. I'm at a total loss here. I've tried so many foundations and nothing seems to work for me. I need something full coverage and something that will blend well and cover my redness. I see so many girls around with gorgeous, flawless makeup and I have no clue why I can't achieve the same look! Please, please, please give me some insight into what I can do. I've watched countless makeup tutorials. I've bought so many products. I've tried everything. My list of products that haven't worked: Makeup Forever HD - slides on my face, doesn't cover, breaks me out Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide - horrible oiliness, doesn't last long, breaks me out Lancôme Teint Idole - Makes me oily Tarte Amazonian Clay - Makes me look like an oil slick. It's so bad. Revlon ColorStay combo/oily skin - Makes me oily, breaks me out Estée Lauder Double Wear - Oxidizes. I looked like an Oompa Loompa. Urban Decay Naked foundation - Oxidizes, oily, not enough coverage Too Faced Born This Way - Breaks me out, causes horrible oil, not enough coverage. I've tried several others, but can't think of them now. I use a primer. I switch between Cover FX mattifying primer, Smashbox photo finish light, and Too Faced Primed and Poreless Pure. I also use Nars Radiant concealer for under my eyes (it creases so bad). I've tried Makeup Forever full cover (creases and is cakey), and the new Bare Minerals concealer (looks very sheer). I've also used NYX HD green concealer for the redness (doesn't work). I also set my foundation only in the oily areas with the Hourglass Radiant Light, Makeup Forever HD translucent powder, or cheap Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder. I tap it into my skin with a Sephora 50 pro powder brush, and I always wait until after my foundation has dried. Suggestions? I don't mind a little oil, like a dewy, fresh look. I just don't like the major grease face I am getting! Thank you!
If you highlight with concealer, is there any point of actually using concealer ,if you're going to cover it up with a lighter concealer? Or, would you opt for a powder highlighter and not use it under the eyes? Thanks
I feel I am more neutral-warm.... I tan easily, have green eyes, but kinda ashy natural hair..... I have medium skin tone, but my skin is more yellow looking. How would I pick a foundation? I think my veins are blue-ish though.... any advice?
Hi, Is there a simple rule of thumb when it comes to highlighting/contouring/bronzing? Like what products you shouldn't combine? Example: Can you use bronzer/highlighter the same time, bronzer and contour the same time, etc? Or any other make up 'commandments' thanks!
This isn't necessarily about any product, but I'm an aspiring makeup artist. My school has an art club and they said I can have a stand on the side and put makeup on people. The thing is, I have to buy all the brushes and makeup supplies. I want the biggest bang for my buck when it comes to a makeup value set or a brush set. My budget is about $250-350. What products would you recommend if I'm going to put a full face on someone but still within budget?
So, my issue is I dye my hair blonde and have highlights. When I wash my hair, I prefer to let it air dry and only at times blow dry or use my straightening iron. My hair always stays frizzy and dry. I have been using Bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil and am not that thrilled about it. I was wondering if there was anything I could use on my hair when I want to let it air dry that would leave it non frizzy and looking good. Thanks.
I have frizzy hair. Very frizzy hair, And I want to find a way to control it without excessive time or breaking the budget. basically I want better hair without spending hours and 50+ dollars on it. Advice?
Hi all, For the past couple of days, something weird has been happening to my skin and I wasnted to post here to see if any of you have any experiences/thoughts on this. At night, I always cleanse my skin with either Clinique Take the Day Off Balm or Ole Henriksen Cleansing Gelee. I rub it into my dry face and then use a wet washcloth to take it off. This typicaly feels wonderful and refreshing. However, for the past couple of nights, my skin starts burning after I use the washcloth and take it off. It's so strange! The burning subsides after a while. There is no other irritation throughout the day - just when this is done. It also continues to burn if I use my toner (which does not have alcohol in it) after the cleanse. The only changes to my routine have been that I have been applying sunscreen more heavily (as in, in the right amount since I think I wasn't using the correct amount earlier), and have been applying it twice daily. On one of the days, I trialed a new sunscreen Supergoop Everyday Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 and on the other day, I used the Supergoop City Susncreen Serum SPF 30 that I usually use. I have no idea what's happening - is my skin suddenly not liking chemical sunscreens? I have pared down my night routine to just applying a face cream at night - no serums or anything. This just scared me a bit since this doesn't usually happen to me and I have no way of figuring out what is going wrong. Please help!!
What is the best sticky primer? I am looking for a primer that has a sticky feel once applied to the face, as I find it stops my concealer from creasing under my eyes when I use a sticky primer/moisturiser. It must be because it makes my makeup stick to my face and stops it from sliding around.
I fight dark circles under my eyes. I've been using Philosophy's no reason to hide dark circle cream, but am wondering if the Clinique better eyes dark circle corrector would be better.. any thoughts on this comparison?
I wanted to make my own palette. A neutral warm but darker than whats usually circulated by all brands. Which should I go for? The Buxom build your own palette or just make my own 3 piece MUFE palette. Any help would be appreciated! I imagine they come to around the same price? Thanks
Hi all! I've noticed recently that eyelash extensions are becoming more and more common. And I've been doing a lot of research on them! I really want to try this out, but there are SO many mixed views on it both good and bad. I really want to try them out because I do love the look of them! Searching it on here, I found a lot of old information, and I was curious if it had changed since then! I just wanted to ask some opinions everyone had on them! Are they really worth it? Have you had any issues with them? Me specifically, I have sensitive eyes and I was wondering if this would be an issue to getting them done? Is the “adhesive” that they use safe? Or does that depend on the location that you go to? I appreciate any responses or opinions !! xox
Need help choosing eye product! I am in my 40s, dry skin, first signs og aging showing up. I usually used eyeshadow primers on my lids, but i need something with more power. I have no experience with concealers. I need something antiaging or treating the eye skin, while giving me a clean look on the eyelid. Help! I want something i can wear without eyeshadow that would look clean and fresh, but also help my skin in the process. Does this exist?
I'm in the market for a new foundation, and would love some feedback between my top contenders. I'm currently using Yves St Laurent's Perfect Touch foundation in Ivory, and I want something that has a more "poreless" and radiant finish. Long-lasting and radiant are a hard combo but I'd love both. Ultimately need moderate/light coverage and would love a dewy finish (that lit-from-within healthy glow). Foundations I am considering include: Smashbox Liquid Halo HD Foundation Shiseido UV Protective Liquid Foundation SPF 42 Bare Escentuals bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation Diorskin Nude Skin-Glowing Makeup. I have a Light skin tone with Yellow Undertones, and my Skin type is Combination/Dry. Any help or feedback would be so awesome!
Hi everyone- I'm in a serious pickle. I have fallen in love with Hourglass's Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint in Shell. I have looked everywhere for it, from Sephora to asking the manufacturer themselves. They told me due to high demand they are out of a lot of colors and will likely get some more back in stock soon. I ran out of it today and don't know how long I can wait! Any suggestions for tinted moisturizers that provide medium to full coverage and work well with fair skin with neutral undertones to hold me over until Hourglass gets more in stock?
I'm on the hunt for the best or at least highly recommended black eyeliner for tightlining. I love the look of it sooo much, but my eyes like to water quite a bit during the process of application and a bit here and there afterwards. Can anyone suggest a product with some serious staying power???
Completely clueless on where to start when it comes to skincare. I'm 23 and have gotten away with basically doing nothing to take care of my skin. I've always wanted to have a routine for my skin as I believe it would be beneficial in the long run but I have avoided it because of my sensitive skin. I usually see some sign of redness along with a burning sensation after using any of the drug store products. However, as I have started working, the stress has led to some deterioration in my skin - breakouts here and there and dry skin (not flakey though). If I were to describe my skin type, it would be combination but on the dry side, uneven skin tone and sensitive skintone. Would appreciate your help in guiding me.
Looking for a dupe for Too Faced's Fuzzy Handcuffs eyeshadow. Really wish they sold individuals...I have over half a palette left in the Boudoir Eyes and can't afford to buy a new one every time one runs out!
I am a 36 year old women who lately has been having skin problems like you would not believe. My breakouts are constatn right now around the check bone, nose and chin area. My skin is drying out as well in that area. I need to find a new cleanser and mositurizer that will help get my skin back to normal.
