I am trying to figure out my skin tone… I got 1Y06 with the color IQ, which I was told that it is slight yellow undertones, but when I look at the charts for color matching with the warm/cold colors it is all over the place. I can wear gold, bronze on my eyes and it will look good, as well as pink, purple, blue or green (for highlights) but don`t put yellow or orange cloths on me it looks awful. On my lips, I need more neutral/pinky shades and same for my cheeks. If I try to do the simple tests, (veins, white/black sheet, etc.) The veins are blue/green and one color tend to bring more the pink of my skin and the other the yellowish, I feel like a chameleon. One thing for sure, I need to stay away of color containing lots of yellow in it…
SO this is my second time posting on here. I appreciate the answers I got but what i really need is product recommendations. After about a year of dealing with just the worst skin (SN: i am very very fair skinned) I've ever had in my life, including but not limited to: dry patches, enlarged and puffy looking pores, overall puffyness, ocassional breakouts due to my combination skin leaving my nose and mouth area a bit zitty, extreme sensitivity and itchy skin. etc. etc. anything you can think of really to be quite honest. My skin is just sad and I am feeling hopeless. I have been using Shea Moisture skincare (after several recommendations) for dry/aging/sensitive skin and to be honest, i see very little to no difference. I infact think I've been breaking out more since I've been using it, not very much relief. Is there a miracle worker out there? I was looking into Korres' milk moisture skincare set but I just am really overwhelmed with the choices out there. I used to use their thyme honey moisturizer and it is a discontinued item... Thanks in advance
Im looking to get some new brushes Ive never had professional brushes before, Im in love with #57 #49 #75 and was wondering if there is a kit available with any one of these in it? Also which set would you recommend if not?
i live 4 hours away from the nearest Sephora. i have been using Cover FX but im not thrilled with it. I know that Lancome is another brand that i was matched up with the last time i was there. In Cover FX im a P20. How the heck am i suppose to know what shade to get in the other brand
I bought Kat Von D's Lock-It Tattoo Foundation around a month ago. In my experience, it dries quickly and leaves me with gross dry patches, plus the coverage fades fast as well. I hate it. I have given it many chances, including trying several different moisturizers and tools to fix my problem (this is why I've kept it as long as I have.) I do still have the original packing and the receipt. I have used it quiet often, but there's still a ton of product left. Also, what foundation would you suggest to me? I obviously need moisture in my foundation, and would like to have one that won't clog my pores or break me out. Thank you!
My beauty insider points are not in my account. I've made purchases before however, i had not signed up online until now. I believe there might have been some sort of information mix up when i signed up at the store. Is there anyway to get my points into my account?
I have always loved Bumble and Bumble BB holding spray. It has been discontinued, and I am hoarding one last little bit of it by using it only for very special occasions. I haven't been able to find another product that works in the same way. Can anyone suggest a replacement for the BB holding spray?
I have been using double wear light by esteem lauder, but lately I do not like how it looks on my skin. So I am looking for something for everyday. I am combo skin, I have some acne and scars. Since I am out most of the day, I need something that would last. I was thinking of trying dior star foundation, but some people say doesn't last all day? Any recommendation would help.... Please...
So I called Sephora today to schedule a makeover and was informed that there was an international makeup artist coming in tomorrow and he (never caught his name) was doing free makeovers. Of course I jumped at the opportunity. I was just wondering if this was something "normal" at Sephora? I come into Sephora a lot, some of the staff even remember me each time I come in :*, and I've never heard of an "event" like this. And I didn't see this in the "store events" section on the website. Anyone ever have a makeover like this before? I'm kind of ambivalent towards this now because I chose this over getting a makeover with my favourite SA and I realize that there's a good chance he'll do my makeup beautifully and won't really tell me how he did it.
I just bought the Dior Addict Lipstick in Rock'n Roll (750) and I just love the color. I am very fair with red hair, so it's been impossible to find a wearable red color. I also like the shimmer of it, but it's not lasting at all. Does anyone know of a lipstick in that color, but longer lasting?
I am 32 and am starting to develop some fine lines around my eyes. I have found an eye gel and a general moisturizer that I love, so my question is about make up. I would love to find a not-too-expensive eye shadow palette I can use for daily wear. My colorful, shimmery, sparkly stuff is still fun for the night time but I'm starting to feel like it accentuates fine lines and is a little age-inappropriate for daytime. I have fair/pale skin with pink undertones and dark brown hair and eyes.
Hey guys so i have an issue. I use a Retin A cream in my night routine. So during the day i have to use an spf to protect my skin,,,, currently i use CeraVe spf moisture lotion. Unfortunately, Im now stuck with a white cast in photos. I dont use liquid foundation just concealer and laura mercier smooth finish powder foundation. I always set with UD setting spray. Do any of you have any suggestions to help battle the ghost face LOL
I am planning to give my mother and sister night time Korean skin care ritual sets for Christmas. I bought towelettes, toner, the Amore Pacific exfoliator, and Lancome Energie de Vie essence. I am planning to give them gift certificates to pick out their own serum. I assume they already have a water-based cleanser and moisturizer. Can anyone recommend a guide for me to include? (I still haven't figured out whether to put sunscreen or Philosophy Total Matteness on first!)
Hello! I am 27, and have oily/combination/sensitive skin that is very acne prone. I get breakouts all over the face, but especially on the cheeks and chin area. (I've been dealing with acne for over 12+ yrs). I am looking to purchase a Clarisonic device, and wasn't sure which one to get. Should I get the Mia1 or Mia 2? (Is there a huge difference between the delicate/universal speed setting? Thank you!
I am currently in my 3rd month of Accutane. I am almost done with my Boscia Makeup Breakup Oil. I saw that Murad had something similar. For those that have used both which one do you prefer? The Boscia one hasn't irritated my skin so not sure if the Murad one would. To remove my makeup or just clean my face I first use a makeup wipe to remove the initial layer and then to get in deeper I use the Bosica breakup oil.
