I use Argan oil everyy day and yet the dry patches on my forehead have not improved. I even moisterize every day. I want to use a mask but I'm afraid of overdrying my face even more. Can anyone recommend a face mask to help get rid of flaky skin?My nose is a weird rough texture as well :/ I've tried the Origins 10 min moisture mask and I dont like it at all! Its more greasy than moisterizing.
Hello! Can anyone give me some advice on this issue: I've been to the store on 3 different occasions asking to be shade match and get a sample of a couple foundations I'm considering for purchase. First time, I was talked out of both of those and directed to a different brand and was given a sample. Ok, I trust the SAs expertise, but after a few wears I just didn't love that product so headed back for attempt #2. I was shade matched this time, and told (for the first time ever) that I'm neutral (um, what? your ColorIQ begs to differ on multiple tries, but ok) and was directed to purchase one of the brands that I'm interested in. Given that I don't want to purchase/return a used product, I left empty-handed and feeling lame. Third try....got back to the right undertones (yellow) but a shade or 2 too light, again wouldn't give a sample and instead applied to my face and told me to wander around the store to see what I thought. It wasn't until I left (empty-handed) and got into natural light that I could clearly see my face was much lighter than the rest of me. I'm not a sample hog, and I do have every intention of buying....and I explained all three times that I'd rather take home a sample or 2 of different products and come back knowing I'm purchasing something that works for me. I'm not overly aggressive by nature, but all 3 times I have clearly stated that I'd like a take home sample of foundation X and Y, and was told, "Oh, just buy it now and you can return it if you don't like it. That's what the policy is for." Um....no. Sephora does have a very generous return policy, but I'm not into unnecessary waste. Just give a girl a fricken' sample already!!! What else should I do/say? This whole thing has really turned me quite off. (p.s this is my first time posting, sorry if it's in the wrong subject board)
I've been hearing a lot of buzz over face oils so I've been meaning to give it a try. Currently deciding between... Josie Maran Argan Oil Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil Tarte Maracuja Oil Has anyone tried any of the three? Pros? Cons?
Ok. I need a NEW makeover. Please make more feminine/girly and new. I have brown hair, hazel eyes and light color skin. I'm on the left. Couldn't find a better picture. Also what would you do with my hair (cut/style)?? I don't have bangs anymore. Please help me!? I really need help badly... (pictures would help some)
Okay so I just learned I need sunscreen even for just riding in the car....who knew? Not me. Okay so I have a body sunscreen I absolutely love that smells like raspberries and candy that at I will be wearing for my body now but out I need major suggestions and questions answered for my face sunscreen. 1. Is it best to use a facial sunscreen separate from make up and moisturizer or will those work just as well? 2. I think I have acne prone skin, I haven't seen a derm yet (appointment scheduled) but I do break out pretty easily. i have somewhere in between normal to oily skin I assume. And I want something that doesn't smell like sunscreen. I hate that chemically scent. If it is a seperate sunscreen or moisturizer with sunscreen I want it to be something that will work nicely with makeup not something think gross and oily that will make my face feel clogged and make up slip off. Any suggestions? 3. What else does your suggestions do? What about the product or sunscreen makes you love it so much other than it just protecting your skin?
I know some of the YouTube gurus have had the same issues with this pressed powder, and while I think I like it, Im not even that sure I'm getting much on my face. It seems the brush is transferring some if the foundation back to the powder and creating a film...it's kind of gross. I can't just use one swipe to do my entire face, so I basically need to put my brush back in the product. I have a photo to see what you all think...should I return it or what?
I have the beauty blender and I absolutely love it! However I don't want to purchase the Beauty Blender Sponge Cleanser. Its too expensive in my opinion. Any easier methods to clean it. I cant get the stains off the foundation off the bottom of my beauty blender.
I know I wont see results immediately but did you guys ever try eye creams and saw results fairly quickly in the reduction of dark circles? I have not found a concealer to hide my dark circles! I've tried soo many the list is endless - Bobbi Brown, Nars, Clinique, MUFE, Amazing Cosmetics, etc..Soo now its time to heal my dark circles rather than hide! Any suggestions would be highly appreciated! =)
My BFF is 38 and diagnosed with breast cancer only weeks ago. Had a mastectomy already and will have axillary dissection next week. Chemo will start within a month and oncologist was direct in that her meds will cause hair loss - including brows and lashes. Being scared is hard enough - I need to have brow stencils (with all needed make-up) and false lashes (with any needed tools: glue, liner, etc.) for her this weekend. She is white (but darker white/tan) with green eyes and (natural) brown/dirty blond hair. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated <3
Hey guys! So I'm 17 years old and I'm about to get a mole removed from my right cheek. It's a medium sized mole, it lays basically flat, dark brown, and I've had it since I was a toddler. Since I've had it so long, I'm getting a deep excision to get the roots out as well, which means there will be a few stitches involved. I have good skin otherwise and I haven't worn concealer or foundation very much in my lifetime. However, while the scar is healing I would like a concealer, foundation, and powder routine to minimize the appearance of the scar. I'm definitely going to wait until the doctor says it is safe to use makeup on the area. I'm having a hard time determining my skin type because I seem to be a little oily and a little dry. I would love a medium/full coverage foundation that looks and feels natural. I am caucasian with fairly pale skin. Please send me advice! Thanks!
I am currently a Beauty Insider and I need to spend about $150 to reach VIB. Do I need to spend the $150 by January in order to reach VIB for the following year? The dates confuse me so I am not sure if my points towards VIB completely reset in January.
Hi, so I have a question. (obviously lol) I used 100 of my points to get the urban decay naked bb cream a few weeks back. It ended up being too dark and orange for me. If we don't like the 100 point perks, can we return them and get out points back? Or do we have to keep these and regret the use of the points?
I'm looking for a good oil-free moisturizer for my acne prone skin. I've tried Kate Somervile Oil-free moisturizer and Origins Planscription SPF 25 in oil-free but both made me feel greasy. I used Origins Checks and Balances, United State, Dermadoctor Aint Misbehavin Serum. Do moisturizers with the SPF in them tend be be greasier?
Hi, What color should match me for the Guerlain foundation? I'm about to buy one. My Color IQ number is 2Y07. I am using Laura Mercier Supreme Foundation in Sunny Beige and Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Punjab. Thank you!
Okay, after doing a lot of research, I have narrowed down concealers and bronzers. For concealers I am torn between Lancôme Maquicomplet and NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. Does anyone have any input, I have fairly dark circles under my eyes? As for bronzers, I am looking at the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil and the Cover FX Bronzer. I have heard good things about both, help? Thank you!
Lately I've been staying up late, and have obtained dark circles as a result. They are not extreme, but are noticeable, especially around the inner corners. I would love if you could recommend any liquid concealers that will cover up the darkness, won't accentuate the dryness around my eyes, and are not drying. If the concealer is paraben-free, it would be even better! Concealers I've tried, and have not worked: Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer Bare Minerals Pot Concealer- can't remember the name, I actually haven't used this under my eyes because the shade I have is too dark, let me know if it works though! Chanel Concealer- the liquid one, can't remember the name Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer Garnier Dark Circle Concealer Maybelline Fit Me Rimmel Illuminating Concealer Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer Thanks.
I have combo skin and live in cold/ dry wisconsin. I just startEd using benefits some kind of wonderful and love the coverage but my skin is getting dry and startling to look flaky. Is this not the right product for me? I want a more dewy look....suggestions?
I have been using Philosophy's Hope in a Jar for Dry Skin SPF moisturizer for a couple of years now, but I now find that it is discontinued. I am looking for a replacement product. I have combination skin that is especially dry now that the wintertime has come. It can also be sensitive to trying out new products. I also have my face waxed, so I want to make sure that any products I use do not cause this to irritate my skin. I prefer that my moisturizer be fragrance-free, or at least close to this. Please help!
i am looking for a natural looking cheek bone highlight. something noticeable, but not too shimmery/glittery. i bought the hourglass "dim light" but quickly realized that is best used for an all over setting powder. i've watched reviews on youtube for "luminous light", and i have heard a lot about josie maran's illuminator, and also one by makeup forever. but both of those are sold out. any other suggestions? would "luminous light" be best?
I have been using the Make Up For Ever HD Foundation for almost a year now. I like it because it feels light on my skin and it's buildable, but I've noticed in pictures my cheeks and chin look especially shiny. I don't like the way my face looks in pictures at all with the makeup on even though it doesn't seem extra shiny when I look in the mirror. I also use Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder to set my foundation, but have only been using that for about a month. I used to consider my skin dry but now I would say it's more normal/combination. Should I add something into my routine or switch products? Please help!
Hi all! So, I've used the original strength Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel pads every other night for the past 6 days. My face looked fine after the first day, but now I have pimples that popped up yesterday and are white heads today and one cyst! I had my acne pretty much under control, but I wanted to use the peels to help with some scars and also some raised blackheads (?) on my cheeks that make my makeup look not that great. Now my face looks pretty bad, especially with makeup, and I need the makeup for work for sure so I can't go bare face and wait this out. Do you suggest I stick this out for awhile longer? Or stop now? Thanks!
So I have never owned a urban decay naked palette and I'm finally gonna do it! I am not really interested in the Naked 1 but the naked 2 and naked 3 and basic i really like! I have very fair skin, green eyes, and brownish hair, which palette do you think will be best for me? I saw the Naked 3 its not at sephora yet but include that one to i don't my eyeshadow too look like to harsh or muggy on me, something neutral and just very flattering.
I currently use Lancome's Dual Finish Foundation in Matte Porcelaine I, and I'd like to try another shade in it or another powder formula in just a tiny bit darker. Same undertones, just a bit darker. (Truthfully, I don't want to change off the DF formula because it's so amazing, but...) Ready...go!
