Oddly, today I finished the most recent Coco Chanel biography (amazing) and I also got a really weird email through my youtube that if I wanted a boy I should wear more Chanel scents and Guerlain makeup. Crazy timing (and comment) right? But I got to thinking...I used to wear Chanel scents and I used to wear even more of their makeup. The latter I've recently gotten more into ..and the product can be excellent though not always. So, if I want more boys, or just to buy the best of Chanel, what should I be buying (or is Guerlain a better bet)?
So yesterday I got a personal beauty consultant session and the artist helped me put on the makeup forever HD foundation with a beauty blender... I loved it, my make up stayed the whole day as opposed to touch ups throughout like how I normally do. So this morning, I tried to apply the same thing with my beauty blender as close to how she did it for me...the results were different. Anybody have tips for me on how to apply the MUFE? I feel like even three pumps of it doesn't stick to my face or cover up the small redness areas on my cheeks as well as my artist did it for me yesterday. Thanks
I got the ever popular NARS concealer when I went to Sephora awhile ago. I listened to the associate when she recommended this to me based on what I was looking for: great coverage, long lasting, and NO CREASING! The NARS was what she recommended. I am not impressed now. The coverage? Wonderful. The lasting and non creasing power? Disappointing for the price tag. I have to carry this w/ me to work and reapply so my dark circles don't completely come through. Am I asking too much for a concealer to completely cover, last, and not crease? What are good eye creams to wear under concealer?
I am looking for a foundation that would last in the SUPER hot and humed climate of Costa Rica while looking natural and not paisty/cakey. Also, it ihas AWESOME ingredients. (I have super sensitive skin) Also, I already use Dr. Jart BB spf 45 for my sunscreen and primer. Any ideas team?
Dear beauty experts, I have never invested in a high end foundation and I am trying to do so but am really unsure on which brand or type to try. I have normal skin, with an oily t-zone. My skin tends to react sensitively to some products (i,e, breakouts on my cheek or forehead) but generally my skin behaves and remains clear. I have issues with foundations accentuating my pores around my nose/cheeks. I'm looking for a light-medium coverage foundation that will last all day, can be every-day, but will particularly serve me well for my sister's wedding. This includes humidity, photography, and a lot of running around. I was considering MUFE HD or Face and Body but now I'm not so sure. Any advice is welcome, my budget would be less than $50 I think.
i have oily skin and I use Missha's bb cream in shade 21. However, my skin gets oily through the day around the forehead, chin, and nose. It also gets shiny so which of the two above is best? Do you recommend blotting paper. However, I think it's a waste of money to buy it if it is going to be used once everyday.
I love using this BB cream that I posted. However, my skin gets oily and shiny especially around the t-zone and other areas of my face. Which is long lasting and best to use? face powder or blotting powder? I need oil free. Thank you!
Hi: My lashes are few and not very long, but I really value a "strictly natural" look. All the mascaras I try seem to add too much creamy-textured goop, which causes lashes to stick together and tends toward clumping. I want a sheer, thin, mascara that coats to the end, keeps lashes separated, and is less likely to dry out in the bottle, leading to clay-like deposits. Thin, sheer, latex-based, coating one lash at a time please. My ideal mascara would be: thin in texture, have a brush that separates lashes well while coating them to the end, and it would not drip. Less "clean-up" required both on my lashes (I have to go after excess mascara clumps with a q-tip and a dental tool to separate my lashes currently--this is time-consuming). The look I am after: natural, could be just "my lashes," no obvious mascara visible, never any lashes pretending to be thinker by sticking together, but glossy, coated and black from base to tip.
I use an oil free BB cream but my skin gets shiny and oily throughout the day that I'll have to wipe my face with wet paper towel but the BB cream wears off. I just can't decide which to get. I need a oil free matte face powder. I don't if I should get a translucent powder or a matte powder. I would like to get it pressed so that I can carry it on the go.
Hello. I am looking for a new skin care product to try. Ive used bobbibrown skincare for 5 years now and they dont work on me anymore. I used clinique before that. Im allergic to SKII, shiseiodo, and Clarins. Are there any good skincare range i can try? I want good moisturizer and dark spot corrector.
Help! I have extremely oily skin, like you could probably fry an egg on my face. I also have a lot of acne and acne scarring. I need a full coverage foundation that will last all day but won't require many touch ups but also won't look cakey. I've tried many products but nothing seems to work. I moisturize and use a mattifying primer as well as a setting spray. Is there something I'm missing or a foundation I havent heard of? I'm okay with any price range I just don't want my makeup to melt off anymore
Normally,l I use Missha's BB cream in shade number 21 and eos lip balm when going out. I have oily skin like it glows in the t-zone area every time I take a pic. What OIL FREE make up products do you recommend for beginners like me? Do I have to wear lipstick in order to wear make up? Are there alternatives to lipstick that are light on lips? Does my photo look like I need heavy foundation etc. How can I look natural? My skin tone is a light Asian yellow
hey ladies, i need some opinions or personal experience. So I'm wanting to purchase a Becca shimmering skin perfecto highlight, but am unsure which color to get. Right now I'm considering moon stone because its apparently good for super pale people like myself, but it looks really silvery and white. Im really wanting like a glowy, golden light shimmer, so I'm not exactly sure what to do unsure emoticon any of you have them or have any ideas? Thanks
What is the best concealer for covring under eye circles? I have dark half moons from the coner of my eye to the middle of my eye. I use skyn eye cream and love it. I look tired. I am light blonde, blue eyed and have fair skin with rosie cheeks.
Hi! Can you recomment a product (either skincare or makeup) to help with redness around the nose, particularly undeneath the nostrils? I have tried various concealers including MAC, ABH, MUFE, IT Cosmetics, etc but after a few hours, the redness comes back, especially in flash photography! Thanks!
I made an appointment for this friday for a 90 minute session at sephora... has anyone been to one of these beauty appointments before? If you can, i'd like to hear some of your experiences. My main reason is that everytime I put on makeup, it looks okay for the first 30 minutes, but then in different lightnings and whatnot, it looks horrible. Do I just walk in makeup free and let them work their magic? haha.
im looking for a full coverage foundation that dosent feel heavy. My skin is at times sensitive and can be prone to acne. I have combo skin and I wanted some advice before I spend a lot of coin thanks!
Hi ... I have dry and sensitive skin, and for some reason, I usually need to change up my skincare every 6-12 months. Since around the beginning of the year (I could be off a few months either way), I've been using Dior's Totale Capture line (face serum, eye serum, face cream and eye cream) as well as their Dreamskin (which I LOVE). I also use their gentle foaming wash and peony extract toner. My house burned down in the middle of May -- everything is gone (we were heavily insured and it was ruled an accidental electrical fire) and I was the only one home at the time. I had smoke inhalation and minor burns to my face and neck (I would describe it as really moderate to severe sunburn-like). I used a travel set of Shishedo (which I've used before but it stopped working for me) for almost two months while we waited for an advance on the insurance money (a good two months). I went out and repurchased all the Dior skincare lost in the fire just recently. At first, I thought the burning and extreme redness was just an after affect from the burns, but it got more red and burned more each time. The last time I used it was yesterday, and I looked like I had a huge rosacea outbreak plus the measles! And it BURNS. It's been long enough that I realize it's the skincare that's causing all this (at night I wash my face with the gentle wash, use the gentle toner and then only use the serums and that's when I get the worst reaction so I know it's not a rogue makeup product and something I had used for quite a long time with no problem). As I said earlier, I have dry and sensitive skin and am very fair (almost always the lightest shade of whatever I'm using). I can't use Perricone or Philosophy as I've also had reactions to that. When I was in a Sephora store buying the skincare, one of the women suggested using Glamglow for a masque because my skin was abnormally dry. She wiped a bit of one of their creams on the back of my hand and it instantly burned. I am allergic to seafood and both lines I was using with Perricone and Philosophy had marine extracts in it so it was surmised that was the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? I feel AWFUL that I'm going to have to return almost $1000 in skincare, especially skincare that I love. I need something quick. I need everything ... cleanser, serums, creams and I definitely would like something similar to Dreamskin. Help!
My mom's birthday is coming up and I feel like her makeup routine could use an update. She's late 50's, has fair skin, blue eyes, and blond hair. I am looking for a face/eye palette that she could use daily but also have fun with. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you!
