I'm very fair and burn easily, so I'm looking for a good face sunscreen. Most of the ones I've tried break me out or make my skin way too greasy. I need something that's SPF 30+ and can wear well with makeup. Happy to hear recommendations from any brands or stores (high-end or drugstore), but I'd prefer products under $30. Thank you!
HI, So, I've had my BeautyBlender for only a short period of time now. Recently, I noticed little black dots in blotches are over my beautyblender (BB). I wash my BB once a week with all my other brushes. I put my BB in the little container it comes in when I ordered it (I did not buy the specific brush cleaner for the BB). Then the other day I saw black dots in it!? I'm in complete shock! Is this....bacteria?!? I paid like 35 dollars!!!! Ewwww! If it's bacteria, I def don't want to use it. I'll probably buy another one, but how can i prevent this from happening again! Help please Thxs, Bianca
Hi, so I am just starting to wear makeup and have no previous experience. I am almost 14 and I was wondering what the normal makeup procedures and things I need to know are. I was also wondering what products I should purchase and how to use them. Thanks!
Hi im trying to get more advice from sephora community I am looking for a foundation. A little about my skin and what im looking for: - i get oily in my t-zone - I get dry in between my eyebrows, in the cracks of my nose and under my nose. Sometimes around my mouth. Foundation tends to stick to my acne spots too.. I don't have many but I do get them and they really stick. - I am looking for a natural, medium or sheer coverage. - I don't want to get cakey which is what usually happens and I don't want to get to oily. I recently got samples of the nars foundation and the sheer glow is pretty it has a nice natural finish but I do get oily with that. With the ADL it does really cling to dry patches. So I am looking for something in between those ^ (and I do set my foundation with a translucent pressed powder but I am looking to get the LM one) Some other foundations i've been looking at: milk sunshine skin tint - it looks really pretty and natural but im not sure if i would still get oily even with setting? ABH foundation stick - I heard it has a natural finish but im not sure if it would get cakey Anyways thats all I have to say. Help a girl out and recommend and if you could also recommend a primer!
What is the Color IQ for Make Up For Ever's Water Blend Face & Body Foundation in R250? This foundation seems the closest of the four I tried; however, it's slightly light pink and doesn't cover much. I tried the following: BareMinerals Original Foundation in Fair (2R05): - looks like a bronzer if I apply more then one layer. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation in R230 (1R04): - covers perfectly, but slightly light pink. - the yellow equivalent was FAR too yellow. - very oily and tacky unless blotted/powder applied. Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream in Fair (1Y02): - close, but doesn't cover, slightly streaky, and light yellow. My face is literally a mosaic of colours: redness (Rosacea in the family), freckles, dark eye circles, sensitive skin, and alternating between red and yellow undertones.
Hi there! I've posted one question before and I got such a helpful answer that I thought I'd try again for another reoccurring problem that I've had. As the title says, that problem is under eye creasing. I'm 26 and I take care of myself, so I don't have super wrinkly under eyes or anything, but I do have some fine lines and creases right at the inner corner of my eyes. These are the steps I usually take for just my under eyes; 1. Lancome rénergie eye cream in the morning to moisturize 2. Smashbox under eye primer 3. I dot Lancome waterproof concealer under my eyes (I do not use a lot, just a few dots that I then blend out) 4. I blend it out with a beautyblender 5. I set everything with Laura Mercier Translucent Powder No matter how much care I take to make sure the creases aren't there I always see them as soon as I set my under eyes. I've tried all the tips I've come across so far. Someone told me that I might be using too much product so I have only moisturized my under eyes then applied my concealer but the annoying lines were still there. Any tips? Any product I don't yet know about that will help with this?
I'm new to skin care.. Sad to say I haven't been taking care of my skin like I should, So I'm wondering really what my skin care routine should look like... My skin gets a little dry in some places & I do have some redness/scarring on my cheeks, & the only other concern I have is the pores on my nose are a lot more noticeable than anywhere else.
The dress is a rich blue-purple with silver embroidery and silver crystal beading. I was thinking maybe silver glittery eyeshadow look, but I wanted to get some other opinions. My heels are glittery and silver as well, and I'm not sure what to do with my hair, so if you have recommendations for that too, feel free to share ideas. I have long dirty blonde hair and blue-green eyes. (apologies for the flash in the first picture)

Hello, I am looking for a day and a night moisturizer. I prefer a cream. I am looking for something anti aging or to prevent the signs of aging. My skin type is on the drier side. I prefer something with no fragrance since it tends to bother me. I have been using Clinique Moisture Surge but it seems like it's not doing much for me anymore. I would like something to help with the aging process.I'm in my mid-forties. Any suggestions on a day and a night cream that would help my skin out would be appreciated. Thank you
Hey again everyone! I'm back with more skincare questions, lol! Again, I would've posted in the question thread but I feel it may get lost in there. I got myself a bunch of drunk elephant products two weeks ago now. I have been using them exclusively, and was wondering if people can help me out and let me know what product may be causing my current issues. My routine at the moment is: Night: Wash with Pekee bar, then apply a mix of the framboos serum + marula oil, then top off with the Lala Cream Morning: Every other morning wash with Juju bar (other mornings just a water rinse), then apply a mix of the c firma + marula oil, then top off with the hydra gel cream. For the first week I used the framboos serum every other night in order to get used to it. And this week I skipped only one day, but used it all other days. I do NOT normally get these huge honking zits. If I do, it's maybe one every 2-3 months. About a week ago I got a huge one on my cheek/temple area, a HUGE one!! It hurt so bad! Now that has gone down and I have an under-skin, super sore one appearing on my forehead. Now, I have had these areas get zits before, never such a big one though on my cheek (I have had similar under-skin ones on my forehead though, that's usually where I get those IF I get one). Otherwise my skin has been good, no anger or irritation anywhere, no redness, flaking, etc. Is this purging? Or maybe a reaction from a product? I'm hoping someone can chime in!
I got a sample of the Sunday Riley Good Genes and it is AMAZING. I have never found a product to reduce the redness in my cheeks (that are splotchy and weird) and keep my face so firm and fresh yet the price sucks. If worse comes to worse, I will probably cave and buy this product but I cant believe it is so expensive. I hope someone has a good alternative! Ive tried the Alpha Beta Peel Extra Strength from Dr. Dennis Gross & really like that as well but havent used it in a while. I have the sensitive version but maybe should just switch back to those? I almost feel like buying Good Genes might be more cost effective since the Dennis Gross is still pricey (ish).
I've been using MakeUp Forever Water Blend for the last few years. It's worked okay, but over the last few months my skin has been more oily than ever before and I've had frequent breakouts. My dermatologist suggested changing my makeup. Any advice on other brands that could help reduce blemishes or make my skin less oily? Thoughts on Giorgio Armani's Power Fabric or MakeUp Forever's Ultra HD or Tarte's Rainforest of the Sea, of Dior's Forever Perfect Foundation? Thanks!
Ive never bought any makeup from Sephora! Id like to make my first purchase. As a first time customer, what product would you recommend I try in the lipstick category? I am Indian, Wheaties in complexion and usually wear reds and picks bright and natural. I don't mind Matt,/glossy/anything else or trying something new.
I typically use MAC NW20 but want to try something else. I've been using MAC for a long time but technology changes so I am pretty sure I can find something else. I'm interested in either Sephora Collection bright future gel serum or Tarte marcuja concealer however I'm not sure what color(s) to choose that would be suitable replacements for MAC NW20. Any suggestions?
Hello! I think I've finally found my perfect match - 4Y09 and was wondering if you have any suggestions from the cheaper end to more expensive lipsticks / lip glosses/ lip stains. I am looking for nude colors; but also would like to know what my matches would be for other color families such as pink, red, and berry. Thank you
I am on the fence between Laguna and Casino. I currently use the regular Laguna for everyday contour, but I saw that this new version is lighter and more buildable. What color would you recommend for medium olive skin? I am NC30-35, and have peach undertones. I wear St. Mortiz in the tinted moisturizer, Santa Fe in the powder foundation, and Punjab in the foundation (all NARS).
Hi looking for color help I wear color Y31 for makeup forever ultra HD concealer and Neutral Linen for sephora collection matte perfection powder, can someone help me with a color for laura mercier tinted moisturizer?
Hi! I am 19 years old (lol my mom and I share an account) and I have extremely oily skin with enlarged pores, acne, and lots of texture. I recently got a sample of the Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 PA++. It has done a fairly good job of keeping my oiliness at bay and I like that it has SPF in it, but I'm curious about the Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion for Blemish Prone/Oily Skin because it says it works better for smoothing out texture (I have lots of acne, enlarged pores, and bumpiness in the center of my face). I will be visiting my local Sephora to test out the consistency of the skin perfector but I was wondering what others think of these two products.
Forgive me if I'm a Klutz - I just brought Benefit Soft and Natural Brow kit and I'm loving every products in that kit. However.......about the stencils. Both stencils (arch/straight, look 1 and 2) - I look closely and both look very similar - except when you feel it, you can tell the difference..... So, when I use one stencil, for example, straight, look 1, on my eyebrow, the question is....... should I flip around and use on my other eyebrow? Or take it out, turn it around, re-insert the stencil tool for my other eyebrow? Please forgive me for the useless question!
