The new and improved too faced Natural Eye Palette!

[ Edited ]

image.jpgSo I saw this on toofaced, and I got so excited because I have wanted to buy it but I hate the packaging. Does anyone know when this one  comes to sephora? I need it soooooo bad!!! Please help!

I actually prefer the thick paper.  This packaging is similar to boudoir eyes and I feel like the plastic tray inside is cheap and can bounce around easily.  The paper felt solid...well anyway, I am so happy nude beach is gone! I am glad they kept honey pot and push up.  Does anyone know if you can purchase any of these colors separate?  I'm mainly using the Boudoir set, (especially during February)! But I'd love to have honey pot without repurchasing this palette.

I miss Satin Sheets! I hit the pan on that color and I cant find anything close to it. :smileysad:

Hi Sarinalove,

Satin Sheets is my favorite color from Too Faced! Sin from Urban Decay is almost an exact dupe for it. I would suggest trying that color if you haven't already. :smileyhappy:

New packaging means CLEARANCE!  Everyone run to Marshalls and start looking now!  Seriously though, how cool would it be if they put the old stock in the grab bags this Christmas.  This past year there was a full sized milk chocolate bronzer in them.

I totally foresee this being one of the items during Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty. $20 lol

Molton Brown just did a bunch of name and packaging changes and a lot of stock got dumped on HauteLook.  Hubby' has a happy Valentine's Day surprise coming.

Pros:

-A MIRROR, hallelujah, thank the Lord.

-No more Nude Beach.  It had the texture of cornflakes, required Glitter Glue to function, and just did not belong in a palette called "Natural"

-It's thinner: more room for more palettes is a good thing.

Cons:

-Still has porny names that make it awkward for gifting to mom, sister, co-worker, etc.

-The outer packaging design is a snooze.

-I greatly prefer printed paper packaging to the newer tins.  They don't feel cheap to me like the tins do.  They protect the product well, and I always thought TF did a great job decorating them in their girlish style which made them fun to use.

Questions:

-The new TF site doesn't list the weight of the shadows.  Will we still get the same value for the price?

"It had the texture of cornflakes" just made my entire day.

wow what am improvement in the packaging. I actually am not a fan of too faced palettes because of the pigmentation. I depotted mine and then never used them. the chocolate bar palette intrigues me tho

I've been enjoying the Chocolate palette lately. The pigmentation is pretty good, but I've always had a TON of drop-off with the shimmery/glittery shades in any TF palette.

I am not a fan of Too Faced shadows either, I actually sold all of mine. However, I did pick up the Chocolate Bar Palette and I have to agree that it is awesome! I love MAC's Soft Brown for my transition and that palette totally has a dupe. Finally a palette I can use without having to also have Soft Brown! I was pleasantly surprised with the chocolate palette.

Hmph. I got rid of my original one a while back, because the huge box took up way too much room, and was so fussy! This one looks so much nicer! Mine had the lift and fold lid, with the cards inside, then the little drawer on the bottom that was hard to get off. This one looks so much nicer!  I did not use the nude beach, because it was like a disco ball, alllllll over my cheeks. Way too much glitter!  I kinda miss mine, now...darnit! I have such a hard time purging my makeup that I dont use, and now I am having regrets.....oh well, i bet I will find something else to buy! Hee hee!

I agree, I actually depotted mine. I've hit pan on Silk Teddy, Heaven, Velvet Revolver, Pushup and Sexpresso. I agree Nude Beach was my least favorite, it's just a mess

Re: The new and improved too faced Natural Eye Palette!

There's a trick if you want to use Nude Beach:

Put a small bit of face/lid primer on the back of your hand, and with a concealer brush work the primer into the brush then work the brush back and forth into Nude Beach until it looks 'packed'.  Very little to no fallout!

They took out my favorite shade, so I guess I'll just have to ration out the one I have, good thing I just recently repurchased it
