Oily skin and melting makeup in the humid south. I have tried everything for 35 years.
Help! I am in my late 40's and have extremly oily skin wih some breakouts. I usually use my teenagers acne spot teatments on the breakouts. I also have roseasea on my cheeks. I live in the deep south and have used everything to try to keep the oilyness down since my teens. I have very few fine wrinkles just around my eyes. I do have large pores. I have used mineral, liquid and mousse foundation with a primer and a translucsent powder to set in every form but my makeup just melts. I have tried poducts to keep the oil away when I clean my face since my teens. My eyeliner and mascara even melts in the humidity and mixes with the oil and after an hour I have to go wipe my makeup and reapply. Most times I don't even bother. I alo have dark circles under my eyes and an uneven skin tone. I have used acne and oil adsorbing products, matte foundation and powder, conceler and waterproof mascara and eyeliner in all forms since my teens. What do I do to cut this oil and keep a presentable face? I don't use alot of makeup because it feels heavy. I'm desperate because I have been living with this 35 years. I have tried Covergirl to Chanel and everything in between from cosmetic counters to drug stores to dermatolgists to infomercials. Please help!!!!

Try a makeup setting spray like Urban Decay De-Slick(formulated for oily skin), spray it before and after your foundation and it should make a huge difference.
