Make up and oil problem

Hi everyone! I am hoping someone can help me!!! When I apply my make up, it looks great but by hour 2, I look in the mirror and you can literally see the make up sitting on my face with all this disgusting oil. I use many products to try and keep the oil away but nothing is working.

I use the clarisonic with a Mario Badescu cleaning gel, I use a mario badescu aloe lotion as a toner. I use a moisturizer at night. I use the Benefit 15 hour flawless primer with oil free make up like the Kat Von D foundation, a tarte foundation but I mostly use the Revlon 12 hour color stay(something along those lines) I use a powder to matte my face as well as a bronzer.

Does anyone have a suggestion or products on how I can get rid of this!!? It's so gross!!!

Thank you a million!!!

Kayla

Awesome suggestions wingatprsct!!  I completely agree on the mattifying primer.  In the warmer months, I rely on the Murad Oil Control Mattifier.

Another great option is the Urban Decay De-Slick In A Tube Mattifying Gel.  It is currently out of stock, but we should be receiving more soon :smileyhappy:

I also like to set my makeup with the Urban Decay De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray.  I've ha d a lot of luck with it holding my makeup in place, even when I'm outdoors running after my kids!

As a last resort, the Urban Decay De-Slick Mattifying Powder is the perfect touch up throughout the day :smileywink:

How often are you using the Clarisonic?  If you're using it more than once a day, you're skin may be trying to produce more oil to compensate for stripping of its natural oils.  I would recommend using cleansing products for oily skin.  Murad also has an oil-control mattifier that is applied after lotion and before primer.  Is your primer, foundation, and setting powder oil-free?  You have to be persistent on all fronts.

Here are a few suggestions....

Hope this helps.  BTW, you only need to post once in one category.  It will appear on the main page and someone will usually reply.

I also have very bad skin, it's always very oily and my foundation slips and slides . Recently I found hourglass primer and its working out great for me try it you might like it , it's a great primer it will keep your makeup on longer and it won't slip and slide.

ps. I also use the Kate van d foundation and the hourglass primer they work good with each other for me.

hope this will help you.
