I always look moonfaced and I think it's my foundation
. What do you suggest?
As a writer, I'm occasionally in photo ops. I have a square face, and I'm middle-aged, but not unattractive. However, whenever I see photos of myself I cringe - my face looks fat and round! I suspect it's because so many foundations have light diffusers to soften the look of wrinkles, etc. I normally use mineral powders because my skin is very oily. I also have rosacea.
But as my career as a writer is taking off, I find myself in situations where candid shots are taken of me at booksignings, public appearances, etc. My best friend has a TV show about to premiere and I'll be at the red carpet premiere. I'd really like to come off looking elegant, not moonfaced. Please help!
Make Up For Ever makes a line of HD (high definition) makeup products that are designed especially to be used when on camera or in photos.
For foundation, I'd try Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation which is an oil-free medium-to-full-coverage liquid foundation that covers skin imperfections flawlessly while remaining invisible on-screen and in real life. This foundation creates a soft-focus effect, which is designed to meet the coverage concerns of those in the spotlight. It leaves your complexion with such a flawless finish, it can withstand bright or harsh lighting and you can find it here: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P21
You can also use Make Up For Ever's Foundation Shade Finder Tool to help you to choose the perfect match for your skin tone and you can access it here: http://www.sephora.com/browse/brand_hierarchy.jhtm
I'd try Make Up For Ever's HD Microfinish Powder to set your foundation. It sets foundation and slightly mattifies your skin without changing its natural contours. This 100% mineral silica powder softens the appearance of imperfections. It completely evens out your complexion and one universal shade works for all skin tones. You can find it here: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P21
If you need a concealer, then I would try Make Up For Ever's HD Invisible Cover Concealer which is an oil-free, medium-coverage concealer that covers imperfections while (like the HD foundation) remaining invisible to high-definition televisions, photographs and the naked eye. This concealer creates a soft-focus effect, brightening the eye area while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a natural, radiant look. The innovative soft silicone applicator enables precise application for a perfectly even finish and you can find it here: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P24
Hope this helps!
Have a great day!
