Help with foundation

This is my first time buying from Sephora and I have never used any brands that you sell. I would like to get some foundation (or powder, tinted moturizer, whatever would work best) but I'm having a hard time figuring out which would be best for me and which shade to get because looking on the site nothing really looks like it matches my skin tone. I am very pale with lots of freckles and I'd say I have more of a pinkish undertone I guess and I have combination skin. Which product and shade would you recommend that I get?

Hi Jlyn25,

I can understand the stress of shopping online with so many options! :smileyhappy:

Based on what you've mentioned, here are a few options for you to explore:

Nars Sheer Matte Foundation- a buildable, oil free foundation. Check out Siberia and Deauville which are both neutral undertones, not too pink or too yellow.

Laura Mericer Tinted Moisturizer - a sheer coverage tinted moisturizer that will even out skin tone. Check out the shade Porcelain

Sephora Collection Mattifying Powder - A light weight, medium coverage foundation that will help to control shine. Check out the shades D05- yellow undertone (will help to tone down redness) or R15- pink undertone

If you have a Sephora near you, I'd recommend to go in and play with these products to get a true sense of the colors :smileyhappy:

Hope this helps,

Hi Jlyn25, I'm very Irish with "sun kisses" too. I use Tartes Smooth Operator Agent 00 for my every day wear. It's a tinted moisturizer so it doesn't have that obvious cover up look that most products give me since the freckles interfear with most. (I hope you know what I mean). Plus it has SPF since I burn very easy. For more coverage I use Korres Wild Rose Mineral powder in Fair for date nights. Since I'm out at night the sun doesn't show the cover up as much. I've never been able to completely cover my freckles with any product without getting a muddy look, but I love them so I like to show them. :smileyhappy: I hope this helps.
